Rogue showing up to rivals as the brawl tank with the least sustain, lowest dmg numbers, longest cooldowns and a team up that’s perma banned 💋

And she still has a decent win rate. Queen shit.

For the love of god can we get a tank with actual RANGE

I was playing overwatch with my friends before a rivals session and after tanking on overwatch I realized, there is 0 poke or long range option for tanks. Defense? Yeah let me just stare them down as they finally walk to my 20m range.
There is legit so many times I find myself on tank with the enemy backpedaling and I’m just ever so slightly out of range to hit them. Or playing a long sightline map like manhattan for example, it literally feels like I’m being peppered from every angle with shots yet my measly hammer or my magic hand simply doesn’t have the range. Of course yes I can just play around cover, but there are some parts of that map where you can really FEEL the lack of ranged options.

I feel like part of the reason most of the tanks feel so unsatisfying is because they’re almost all low-mid range, the only true mid range I feel like is mag but who wants to play mag? Honestly I just need somebody with an actual GUN…or lasers. Devs please give me War machine with the ability to switch ranges depending on which weapon he’s using.

The devs seem to be pushing the game towards a brawl meta, how do you feel about this?

So yes dive and poke have been on and off metas for way too long and it was about time for changes, with the release of Dino I can already see the meta shifting to brawl, the point this patch if you don’t match the Dino and Emma in the front line you will lose the game gg go next.

Now don’t get me wrong brawl is fun AT First because the frontline clashes and fights are genuinely the funnest you can have in a game like this, but I know from my experience with overwatch where I was a tank main. Brawl metas overtime can get REALLY MISERABLE for tanks because you just stand in the front line and hold and take every beating and cc there possible could be in the game, and no one dies.

I’m glad there’s changes but I don’t know how do we feel about a push to this meta? especially with people that have experienced brawl metas in other games do you want this shift? I ask here because this meta in particular affects tanks the most.

Devil Dino is making me have Season 2 Emma PTSD, nerf him

Where I was forced to go Mag or Emma to deal with Emma, now I gotta play Emma or Devil to deal with Devil. But even then, half the time Emma doesn't work as he's being pumped with so many heals I can't damage crap.

I'm glad I get to have a second tank, I also hate it because I also have to go very specific characters just to counter him.

Why did Dino get displacement invulnerability?

Ima lord mag and play a good amount of other tanks and was really excited for being able to play a dinosaur. Although he obviously has a great damage, cc, and survivability I don't believe Dino is that op as long as you pick the right heroes and such. But I don't really understand why they gave him things passive. He has a jump to get out of pits and a shield which he can use to protect himself from cc abilities. I feel like inserting this ability unto him as well as the ult reduction thing seems like just general power creep which is never good imo. They probably won't remove it but he should have the other parts of his kit toned down for having such a op ability, making you immune to many characters' abilites or even gameplans.

Such a rare yet beautiful sight

Having more than one is already a rare sight, 4 is unheard of. Picked Gambit afterwards for Rogue too

My PERSONAL top 5 most wanted tanks

This is in order

I want Agatha to have a passive that gives her a temporary damage boost for just taking damage and her gameplay to reward people for knowing when to and when to not take damage and I want her ult to be like magneto but instead of the absorbed projectiles adding to one big attack, she absorbs projectiles it gives her a large damage boost but she should also have the lowest health of the tanks

For She-Hulk I want to se some WWE shit like how she is in MvC, like I want her to charge at someone and if she hits them, she drop kicks them and the get knocked back, if they hit a wall they will bounce back towards you, and then you can reactivate the ability to close line them if you time it right. Also I want her ult to be her jumping off of the top ropes and elbow slamming into the ground doing not much damage but stunning everyone in the area for like 2 seconds.

Bishop I definitely want him to be a poke tank with an ability to block like Rogue and it adds to the damage of his alternate fire which looks like his normal powers but it functions like a railgun, maybe he could also deploy a small shield adds to his alt fire, and for his ult I want him to have like an 80% damage reduction and all damage he negated comes out as one big attack.

Idk what I’d want for Lady Deathstrike but I think she looks cool and I liked her in the 90’s cartoon.

For Ms. Marvel I personally want them to focus on her enlarging her fist and feet for big punches and kicks, for her ult I would like to see an “install” ult where she becomes larger, gets more heath, and does more damage

What are the chances that the *steel type Pokemon* vanguard is Luke Cage?

Basically Title. We know we are getting another vanguard next season and by the way they teased it on twitter, calling it a "steel type Pokemon" while also saying "not literal steel" then why couldn't be power man aka Luke Cage?

I was wrong about Dino, he's worse than I thought 😭

Yo so i was compietely wrong about him being another brawling off tank. This dude is a busted anchor AND anti tank. If anything he's showing why adding a big dinosaur to the game is stupid AF 🤣

First of all the dudes hitbox is too enabling. MK shreds a lot easier, Deadpool levels up quicker, Adams a main healer. His free headshots turns Mantis into the best strategist in the game. Like I was getting headshots more than I can disperse leaves 😂

Second of all his counterplay is AIDS AF. I Genuinely hate everyone who says "DURR HUEY jUsT gO pHoEnlx DURR"

You people spent the past year crying your eyes about poke, now you want it to be played every game??? because if dino is pick or ban, than his counters are must pick, you're basically asking to play into poke every game! Plus we shouldn't HAVE to play the same 5 heroes just because Netease released a raid boss

Lastly my biggest issue is he's anti tank. Percentage damage AND the shield blocking off heals, AND THE KIDNAP? it makes tanking pretty much impossible. Unless your Peni, Emma, or Tankpool you have no shot of outbrawling this dude. You literally have to switch or avoid him all match. He hurts the role more than he helps it

The petulant children who wanted Glup Shitto over here aren't playing him because he's a big dinosaur. They're playing him because he's META

If this hero wasn't the easiest tank to drop 30 kills and 50k dmg blocked yall wouldn't be playing him

I will be banning him every game until he gets nerfed, because mascots shouldn't be OP 1😭

You did it!

Congratulations to the entire Hulk community! I'm very happy for you, my fellow tank brothers. Even though I don't play Hulk myself, I'm always glad to see him on my team. Every Hulk I've ever met has been a great teammate. I hope that what you've done will really make the developers reconsider their attitude toward skins for unpopular characters. Either way, this is a VICTORY. Congratulations on behalf of all Rogue mains!

When tenacity was needed the most it vanished.

For context I never see the Jeff(blindspot) for those who will inevitably say you shouldn't have 1v2. You can pause at any time he is in my blindspot all the way. I see starlord retreat and assumed I could take bucky out in the 1v1 and we'd have a 6v5 advantage on the push because bucky would walk back from spawn. Not even mad I died just funny tenacity didn't proc at all.

Percentage based damage is bad game design and is the reason why DvD is so strong

The concept of percentage based damage in a game like rivals has never really sat right with me because on a conceptual level it disincentives playing tanks because they have the most hp and thus will be taking the most damage from these abilities that in general are already good at taking out tanks. It was mostly tolerable when it was just wolverine, annoying but was also kinda a skill check, and then iron fist got it, and then thing got it, and then Elsa got it and finally Clifford the big red dinosaur. I feel like DvD wouldn't be nearly as divisive if his F didn't do percentage based damage because then he would be a tank that is also a tank buster like if the F did 65 total damage to a non bleeding enemy and like 105 to a bleeding enemy. It would still be a strong ability that would be very good for sustainability but wouldn't destroy the enemies front line like how it currently does. As an in general wolverine should be the only character who has percentage based damage in his base kit and they only ults that should have it are wolverine and venom ,which would change nothing about these abilities.
