Who asked for jean and cyclop buffs? Is this to counter Dino? Brother jean not S tier for only 1 season as she is buffed again! Jean isnt weak, the problem is that poke characters like Bucky, Elsa and hela do so fucking much that there isn’t much they can she outshine them in term of area , reminder that just like hela, jean CAN 2 TAP 275 characters just like HELA with her primary

How on earth can they justify not breaking the legs of CC ranged MONSTERS like Elsa, Bucky is beyond me. Elsa is a MUST ban in above diamond for tanks, same with Dino, he just does way too much damage even at RANGE with punisher teamup to the point that he encourage poke slop , he is a BETTER ANTI DIVE than freaking THING on top of dealing a billion damage at all range right now which is crazy.

You do not buff dps to counter broken characters, you nerf those problematic BROKEN CHARACTERS, doing the opposite just devolve into power creep BS where every meta characters make the rest of the roster explode in less than a second.

Am ok with Emma nerf too, her diamond form is nonsensical to play with for most of the tank cast, thats why she is frequently banned.

Am starting to lose faith in this game balance wise because am starting netease is completely out of touch with the community, it seams neatease they only react if a character is prime dd and Emma, black cat, Dino , prime Hawkeye level BS where they are must ban or else you lose type nonsense.

The problem is that mantis, Adam and ultron are solely balanced around 3 heal comp garbage

The moment ultron or mantis as example become viable in 2 heal comp consistently, that also mean they become thanos with infinite gauntlet in 3 heal comp, which result in them getting huge nerfs next season patch which put them back in 3 heal comp jail

The reason Adam for example never got this treatment is that Adam NEVER got buffed to the point the semi competent average dps/healer hybrid can make them work in 2 heal comp 90% so Adam never got the super nerf hammer. If hela was the same as Sean 9 ultron and mantis then you bet your ass he would have gotten his knees broken to be a 3 heal comp merchant

It’s just stupid how some characters are balanced

Having to wait 4 second for a leaf to recharge is BRUTAL

Like put a 60 ult generation penalty for teams that use any triple class or something, that would also heavily discourage triple dps epidemic idk

I swear to god, why are they so fucking selfish and narrow minded? If you healers are getting dived to oblivion by enemy dps divers then you counter swap

Tanks like Dino, peni or thing are going to be banned, you cannot rely on Emma frost to constantly peak because she is a front line tank that push , she does not have the mobility to quickly swing back to healers in other to peel off enemy divers

DPS meanwhile have namor/starlord ( groot teamup )/ Bucky ( body guard king )/ Elsa

WHY THE FUCK ARE MY DPS TEAMATES NEVER SWAPPING, they a billion answers yet they go fucking Wanda or never swap

This is diamond rank ( aka celestial last season ), why are dps insta locker so stupid, they don’t even flex dps roaster thats the WORST PART. At this point am just praying role queue to give those dps insta locker the middle finger on wait time being far longer for them, I am mostly a tank and healer player anyway.

It’s outrageous, it’s like their intelligence decreases by 5 level when playing dps role.

Even when am picking healers, I see my tanks counter swapping far more frequently, lord Wanda meanwhile are the spawn of satan that will never counter swap

The reduce shotgun spread basically prevents you from missing all pellets from afar 98% of the time, you pretty much always deal BIG damage even at mid distance, from my testing on practice mode from mid distance, anymore damage buff from her primary will probably result in her evaporating squishier in less than 1 second with body shots !

Am speaking this as a console player but pretty much the only tanks that are worth using are hood, magneto, Emma, thing , groot, strange

If you play any other tank and you get hit by CC once, then you will get stun lock and melted to death by poke. It’s boring as fuck but am not surprised in the slightest as to why you don’t other tanks played, the risk reward ratio is almost nonexistent.

Tanks like venom, hulk, DD, Thor, rogue and Angela feel like throwing pick at that level, and it reflects on their extreme rarity there.

We don’t talk about captain America because he in his unique below all tier of useless.

How good you are as a tank is just purely dictated on how well you do against projectiles and how much damage you can block for your team and nothing else. All the “good” tanks right now straight up have ways to block damage on top of escaping CC in 1 or multiple ways.

It makes we wish I was back to diamond or gold because at least I could kinda play rogue or Thor. I hate high elo and I don’t think am going to grind to celestial next season, it’s not fun at all

Disregarding black cat because she is a broken I frame fucking , invisible switching demon that need to be burned

- Venom got a HUGE nerf with his swing, he is inches away from being outright completely unviable

- Rogue is garbage even with gambit teamup as it’s pretty clear to everyone that netease view her as thanos for some reason

- Captain America is the worst tank in the game that cannot accomplish anything , he is tickle monster that can outright lose 1v1 against a support

Even flankers like psylock and star lord got nuked because of course they get value from harassing backline when they can

Meanwhile characters like hela, Bucky, Elsa , jean cannot be allowed to be bad because they don’t target backline when, they are frontline fighters so we need to give them broken op teamup and CC that guarantee a dead sentence for any one who even breathes 10mile away from them.

It wouldn’t be this bad if they at least needed poke along with flankers and divers. But at this point it’s clear to me that pure poke characters are never allowed to get big nerfs

Why the fuck is are poke characters so strong that they are better at stopping dive and flank attempts than any melee characters ? I will tell you why, it’s because of RIDICULOUSLY STRONG POKE CC IS, they stuck you to oblivion with buck, Elsa , jean and hela being the worst offenders sans they can 2 tap you.

It wouldn’t be bad if these characters got merged too but they don’t and won’t, JUST WHY?

Seriously anybody find it broken how Bucky can spam à CC every 3 seconds on top of auto reload + overshield?

Why does a character with a gun have such BS loaded kit for croud control that fills up full in essentially 5 landed shots ? The worst victims of this are of course freaking tanks that are constantly slowed down by his stupid orb attacks, he basically makes diving impossible and forces you into pure poke combat ( that he is still decent at doing anyway ).

Venom catches major balance nerfs in the wrong area ( his swing instead of phoenix team up ) meanwhile this menace for society doesn’t get any of his fucking kits touched at all ! Seriously WTF, I feel the same with Elsa wity Dino team-up but thats a different story.

If the enemy team has either tankpool ( most likely hela teamup gun upgrade ) or red hood as one of the 2 enemy tanks then you are going to have a miserable time fighting them as they have get out of jail options headshotting you to oblivion , but you know what tank brawler doesn’t give a dam about them too much? Thing… no really they can’t beat him at all as he has the tools to stay in their face and constantly out damage them untop of having multiple engage and disengage movements unlike devil Dino who only has his lung kidnap attack to get away and it has a long ass cool down. Mag and peni also suffocate Dino counter wise too

There is just sooo many things you have to worry about as Dino that thing can get away with that makes no sense

Even against healers he isn’t too good, if you see the enemy healers have either mantis or Adam then you most likely mean you have to swap ASAP as they will easily heal far you via headshot.

No wonder he has low pick rate , don’t get me started with

What does devil Dino eveb do better than thing besides being cute ? No really

WTF

- Venom for example has amazing teamup that gives him all he needs regarding survivability and damage ( blade and Jean ), they are so damm good that the enhance version enhance is dive tank survivability even more, no need on being depend on another player needing to press a button for you

- Magneto with scarlet witch teamup fix magneto biggest issue which was consistent damage burst and infinite reach while being on really short , meanwhile his teamup with Emma is straight up garbage unless you get the enhance version

- Rogue was nerfed super hard presumably to accommodate with gambit teamup and as a consequence she just sort of explode the moment she try to engage fights, she really really wants the enhance version of gambit teamup and even then it’s not enough to remediate her low hp and damage outside of it. Her teamup with magneto should be an actual shield not just huge damage reduction, it would not be the end of the world if she had one . Or at least give her cc immunity and the damage stored on southern brawl permanent instead of decaying quickly

- Devil dinosaur teamup with Jeff is literally and figuratively à nothing burger teamup, in my opinion it should be buffed so that the base version has INFINITE heat gauge, to justify the healing mechanic. Not only is the healing weak but realistically you can’t really afford to heal your team ( most likely the tank brawling ) as heat gauge is resource management and the only range attack devil dinosaur has.

- Thor enhance version of his teamup… are worthless to be honest, he gets a bit of shield for hela… it’s a bit if healing. Thor does not want to be in a dying posit in the first place and poke meta is extremely hostile to him , so you don’t really want to play him in most situations in the first place

- Tankpool ( this holds true for all version ) teamup with hela takes freaking FOREVER to upgrade, you start out weak as fuck to slowly upgrade and get stronger meanwhile everyone and their MOTHER is already strong by default

- With captain America… it’s not even his teamup that is bad, it’s his base kit and low damage that holds him back hard

- Peni is Thanos on a lot of defensive maps and I will constantly ban her only my dps assure me they can flank nest lol

What are your takes regarding vanguards current gameplay and their teamup this season?

Am a console player and I don’t know if it’s a controversial take or not but people ( especially dps ) have an extremely hard time understanding that dino weakness is… headshots, you have punisher , Jean, hela, namor ( kinda ), starlord, dpspool

Seriously even off healers like Adam and mantis LOVE going against fini because hitting his massive head refund their resource like crazy since Adam and mantis are rewarded on headshot on top of dealing huge damage on him

You dont need your entire team to be projectile based just 2 or 3 characters is enough, something like

dino + strange + punisher+ Adam + silver fox + rocket

Or dino + Emma + jean + 1 diver + mantis + rocket can also work against another enemy team with dino but in this team comp if mantis isn’t constanly pumping crazy damage with a few headshot while constanly healing & damage buffing it doesn’t work

Keep in mind that having dino on your team also enable aggressive offensive triple support play style with Adam or mantis cluster shot burst heal on top of being very good at massacring ground base diver like Daredevil and Magik when he peel for his team

For vanguard tankpool can ship him with headshot, Emma can fight him at mid distance and she has diamond form to defend herself if he try to lunge at him

If the dps on your team refuse to play ranged characters and both chose to play dive and ignore dino then your front line tanks are kinda cooked, because you mostly fight dino with ranged burst damage.

I really like dino design, his strength and weakness are not hard to grasp at all, he has many answers that are popular but for some reason a lot of people act like he is god and refuse to built team comp that enable or counters him

( this post made me realize that only 2 tank in this game can deal headshot crit dammage Lmo, it’s peni and tankpool )
