I’ve seen this happen too many times in my ranked games where we get too many DPS mains, one will hesitate when picking support, then proceed to play something like Adam, Mantis, Ultron, Jeff or Healpool in double support.
Like, I get that you don’t wanna play support but why do this when Rocket, CND and Luna are open who are much more viable picks and have a low barrier of entry?
As someone who mains tank, this role is often at the mercy of supports and picking someone with low healing output in the neutral will ensure that no space can be created due to taking too much damage with subpar healing.
Before any of you say “Just have good positioning with these healers on your team!” Try facing a comp with Cyclops/Phoenix/Moonknight/Punisher together or Hela/Namor and see how quickly you get melted when trying to walk up. You are forcing your team to play around shit heals and worse support ults which is not fun for everybody.
And no, I won’t fall for any Healpool propaganda as this stupid MVP merchant with a negative win-rate in every rank has costed my games due to a non existent support ult, and inflated healing numbers that don’t mean anything if your team can’t live or kite a SL/Puni ult.

Probably exactly a week ago, downloaded this to play with my partner who is BARELY able to keep their place in plat rank.
Leveled up to 15, did my rank placements, I get placed in silver III.
Every. Single. Game. Someone from the opposing team admits to smurfing, the most honest of all being a celestial champion lord daredevil. I had such a miserable run that when that daredevil was placed in the opposing team for the SECOND match in a row with me, I had to pass my controller to my partner.
The daredevil admitted to smurfing on a alt so they could play with their friend thats new to the game which is understandable to an extent, but 7/10 of the time someone admits they’re in a much higher rank and the reasoning being so they can play with a newbie can’t hold up as a reasonable excuse anymore.
This is my first time playing a shooter game on a console, so I’m quite obviously not good at this game, but at this rate I can’t even progress to get any better if I’m just facing people that have HUNDREDS of hours on ONE dps.
I hear smurfing is bannable but is NetEase even CONSIDERING any of the reports about the smurfers? 😭

Casuals need to exist for every game, don’t get me wrong, but it kind of pisses me off, unfairly pisses me off, that I love marvel as much as I do. Because 2 things:

1: Most casual gamers don’t know that much about Marvel, so when somebody who isn’t well known is added, they complain. Complain complain complain. My duo, as much as I adore them, says they’re going to drop the game if they don’t stop adding nobodies.

NOBODIES?! BROTHER please open up Disney plus and just spend a day or two watching anything that isn’t the avengers. I promise you’ll find something to enjoy, and learn to love characters that aren’t iron man and Captain America, Spider-Man and Hulk.

2: THIS IS A VERY HOT TAKE DONT CRUCIFY ME People not trusting Netease’s vision. Yeah, we have a lot of duelists. Yeah, strategists are useful in fights. They might even be what makes or breaks teamfights sometimes. But saying that people need to drop the game if they add another duelist is WILD. Dude.

Just play the game.

And not everybody has the capability to heal.

Had the strangest thing happen to me yesterday. Was playing comp with my buddy, we both usually play tank, but I fill whenever it’s needed.

Well we queued into a game and pre selected our characters before the bans started (Angela and Thor). Another teammate of ours hovers on strange. Cool, no problem, I’m sure one of us will switch after ban phase.

Well after seeing that our teammate plays strange, another teammate then clicks on scarlet witch and requests team up. Whatever, I don’t love having a scarlet but it is what it is.

The bans roll around and she now decides she’s gonna ban my Angela at all costs. All 3 bans she’s putting Angela. Of course it goes though on the last one. I ask her what her problem was, as everyone else on the team was trying to ban OP/meta characters.

Her reasoning: “we don’t need a 3rd tank”. I was baffled. No communication. Just relentlessly banning Angela. The plan the whole time was for me or my boy to swap to something else. But no. She had to waste a ban on me at all costs.

If it matters this was in a celestial 1 lobby.

But yeah I just never thought I’d see the day where a team has too many tanks. Considering the solo tank epidemic.

Legit, carrying an entire time healing, and there's always one asshole "I ain't getting any heals". Like bruh we won the game and I got MVP with 50k+ heals. Called em out mid game and they wouldn't speak up again. And then, I get reported for inappropriate speech? Fuckin pussies lol.

REALISTICALLY HOW IS ONE SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH THING + DINO + 3 SUPPORT COMP LIKE ITS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE

Okay so let me just say I feel very similarly about Luna players as I do to Jeff players. It's inspiring when there's a good one and I love having a good one on my team but most of them are f****** dog s*** that never switch. Also, this is a perspective from low celestial I imagine it gets better at high ELO. Okay, so I'm starting to think that a bunch of people that lorded her when she was more of a healbot, Now hear she's strong so they try her out again despite her being very very skillful, like yes she's broken but in a skillful way like when BC was broken for instance not like prime Dino was broken where it's just pick up and play. And they just don't know how to play healer at all. It's a bunch of DPS mains that never play healer and they don't know how and they complain about peel despite them being able to 1v1 Literally every dive character and all they do is f****** run away so the other healer can't patty cake with them and nobody can help them and then complain about no help. In some ways it is not unlike a lot of healer players but if you are that type of player, just go rocket, cloak or invis or something brain dead. Why would you go Luna? an actually skillful artisan healer with heavy diva vibes. You're giving a bad name to a very good character

Like fuck you if you ban my character selected. I won’t straight up throw, but no I’m not swapping, I’m playing whatever role or character I want, and no quite frankly I won’t be too mad if we lose. Loser ass teammates ruin this game man. You are fr a piece of shit if you ban teammates characters.

I've NEVER had a good widow on my team. They're always the weakest link. But for some reason whenever I get a widow on the enemy team they're turning my team into jfk

I'll politely ask them to swap because most of the time they'll be going double or even triple negative. And most of the time they'll tell me to piss off, kill myself or tell me to go fuck myself. At that point I go groot and wait for them to die so I can wall them in spawn. And if they dont swap and get out ill just start walling whenever they get set up. And if they're the rare widow player and they say nothing to me I just shut my brain off and stop trying

She NEEDS a rework. She takes way too much team support and player skill to work. And why do that when I can swap to one of the other op pokeslop dps? Like hela, cyclops, phoenix, elsa or punisher.
