I remember boxbox used to max E for fun in some match ups, is that still ,possible nowadays? If yes, then what matchup could be played that way? Especially interested in midlande matchups

I'm a Diamond player and me and a friend started a fresh-account challenge. The rule is that we can only play mechanically difficult champs, and whoever climbs higher wins. I got top lane and decided to OTP Riven because I've always liked her playstyle.

I'm not completely new to the game, so I'm not really looking for beginner advice or combo guides. I already know the basic combos and understand that mechanics are important on Riven.

What I'm more interested in is the learning progression of a Riven OTP. If you were starting over today, what would you focus on improving first, second, third, etc.?

For example:

• Matchup knowledge?
• Trading patterns?

In your opinion, what separates a Gold/Plat Riven from a Diamond Riven, and then a Diamond Riven from a Master+ Riven?

Basically, if the goal is to climb as fast as possible while OTPing Riven, what skills give the biggest returns besides just learning combos?

Hit rank goal on other roles and trying to hit it as Riven top now. Been trying to find a reliable source for Riven matchups that would have narration on lane goals / trading patterns.

I noticed Alois has those up for some but it's a bit hit or miss depending on how much he goes over the champion interactions. YT always recommends me Viper / Adrian Riven vods as well but those seem just like straight vod rips with rarely commentary about the matchup on a granular level.

What have they done to her? No damage? No Waveclear? No pressure? What is this, this isnt the riven i remember, i was vs a yorick who was 1-3 and he wasnt even in lane and he almost killed me with his minions and ult while roaming to drake. And im stuck with a 7 min tp and ignite fighting his minions? Is she better mid or what should u play her if i want to start playing her again.

Yo, im looking up what the kr players are doing and i see 1 thing which is very common. almost all of them rush mostly dd first/maw vs heavy ap. has anyone tried this, if yes, is it good?

Hey Riven mains, I have a few questions about Riven's build path:

1. When is it better to rush Axiom Arc vs. Eclipse as a first item?
2. In the games I played, building Black Cleaver didn't feel like it had much impact. Is the item actually bad on her right now, or is it just a me problem? If it is strong, when should I actually buy it?
3. Spear of Shojin stacks and increases damage on passive and abilities. I know it doesn't give CDR anymore, but why is it still not viable in her build?
4. Against a team with a lot of healing and tanks, should I go LDR + Chempunk Chainsword, or is Mortal Reminder enough on its own?

I've been playing a lot of Riven lately, and I see situations where I could run a crit build. In this patch, what's the full crit build for Riven?

So we all know top laners have like the worst fame in the game alongside Yasuo, Yone and Yi players, and among top laners i feel Riven mains are among the ones with like the worse reputation.

What do you all think? Are Riven mains overall toxic? In my experience it’s a 50/50, I either get a 0/13 Riven that is the most chill human in existence or the riven with the protagonist complex that I’d you don’t do what they want they run it down
