proud riven player, made so much sick plays with this fun champ but im quiting this cancer for good, everything i grinded for gone to shit cause riot decided to curse me with loosers queue for no reason and put me to play with mental sick people as my teammates, 16 games 15 losses 1 win MMR gone to shit everything gone to shit no chance rebuilding this, lost my motivation, thank y’all wish y”all good luck boys

okay so first off: i know thats not meta.

But i tried it in some games and it was pretty fun most of the time. (though im very low rank and i guess anything works in low elo).

but i wasn't sure on what to build? runes too. i took second wind because i think it helps a bit against the poke dmg and also dorans shield instead of dorans blade. im keeping ignite because i cant imagine myself playing without ignite.

as for my other items: i just bought random stuff that the game recommended me to buy, so axiom arc etc. if i saw a lot of ap on enemy team i'd go maw.

What would be an actually decent build path for riven bot? (also runes?)

Hi, starting to main riven here.

Just want to know what first item I should build and why. Should i build for top lane or team matchups? From what i searched, the most common first items are (not in order):

1. Axiom Arc
2. Eclipse
3. Sundered Sky
4. Black Cleaver
5. Maw of Malmortius
6. Umbral Glaive

I know it’s probably a skill issue but how do I go about winning this matchup, I feel like I lose level one if he has barrel or his shot. And then I’m just zoned off cuz of his barrels or his shot.

Yeah idk, feels like 75% of my matchups against tanks and fighter tanks I have no choice but to proxy, even if I’m two kills ahead, when they hit 6 with their first armor items, I literally can’t lane against them so I have to proxy. How is it fun to play a champ that requires heavy proxy into almost every tank, some even non tanks “illaoi”, and if I get ganked once while proxying because I’m not a pro at tracking enemy jg every move, it’s gg. How do u get over this bullshit, or is it just the champs identity, go next and find a diff champ to play ig.

Hey guys I’ve been trying to learn riven recently, I think she’s pretty strong rn and I’ve always wanted to learn her as a toplane champion. Let me preface by saying I am not a top player, my toplane fundamentals are not fantastic, but I understand wave management and tempo well enough to apply toplane. Normally I play in mid-emerald, but have been learning top in mid-gold.

The garen matchup is just puzzling to me. I understand that you want to E his silence and only short trade with him, but he seems to win out anyways. Even in gold, garens will realize you want to e his q and will resort to just spinning and 1 shot the wave and harass me off of a couple cs from the wave as I attempt to set up a freeze. (Then he just tanks me and the minions and crashes the wave and runs away if I try and fight) and after stridebreaker I can no longer short trade into e away because the slow allows him to catch up. Ultimately it’s not difficult to not die(50% health = one trade dead LOL) but it feels like he just out sustains any short trades I do and outscales me in the sidelane while I can 1v1 him at no point in the game if he’s even mildly human with the attack speed/crit build.

Idk if my rune/item setup is part of the problem. I tend to go conq with sorc secondary for nimbus with ignite and rush eclipse > deaths dance.

Looking for some sort of tips to make this matchup playable as many rivens say this is an easy matchup, but I find Darius to be much more manageable even if I’m down a little more cs in lane.

He just feels like the ceo of every game where he has to fuck up extemely hard for me to punish, and I’m insta dead if I fuck up once.

Hello folks, I noticed alot of riven mid players recently, I'm currently in emerald. I really like the champ design cause its similar to my main champion Qiyana like all the dashes and combos you can use. So I start my riven (midlane) journey now and I wanna ask you guys: what are the most common trading patterns into mages and bruisers? I would appreciate some niche tips on her too!

(I know the basic combos like AA Q right click, Anim cancel and so on)

I cant for the life of me play against these two fuckers. They both ignore all my damage with innate resistances (malphite can just stack armor and keep hitting me for 200 dmg per auto and garen doesnt care about my damage and cant retailate so much worse than what i can hit him for.) I cannot go even in lane because they are so much of a threat to me that i cant walk up to get cs properly. Help.
