Riven players are pure fucking cunts. You picked a champ that only exists so you can feel like you have hands. Every single one of you is just a desperate whore who needs to cancel animations to convince yourself you are not dogshit. Without the fancy Q resets you would be nothing but another top laner getting shit on.
You live for the style points while still dying like a complete pussy. Flash over the wall miss every ability and still act like you are the main character. Your whole identity is built around looking mechanical when half the time you just throw yourself at people and hope the animation cancel carries you. It does not. You still feed.
Riven mains are the most insecure retards on the rift. You practice the same three combos in practice tool like it is going to fix the fact that you have zero game sense. You are a walking ego trip for people who need a complicated kit just to feel something. The second the enemy plays safe you fall apart like a cheap whore.
You think missing every Q and still somehow getting the kill makes you skilled. It does not. It makes you lucky. Most of you would be hardstuck without the broken animation cancels. Your champ is just a vehicle for people who peaked at learning how to cancel an auto. That is your entire personality. Braindead retard champ with infinite mobility chain cc and 2 second cooldown shield, disgusting pieces of shit

I played a few games of Yone last night and when you get ahead it just feels like there’s no way that people ever catch you up because of how hard you scale,

When I’ve played riven however I’ve felt like even if I am ahead then there’s still the possibility that people catch me up and even have a kill opportunity still,

I don’t really know why this is but it’s not very fun because Riven is the champ that has made me feel excited to play the game again and just feeling like I’m gimping myself by playing her isn’t a nice feeling.

I started league a month ago and am currently level 26. I started playing adc and shifted to mid lane. Played a couple games on riven and got 33 kills with her on one game. Ever since then I have been only playing riven and don’t have fun if I don’t play her. I know I could improve faster if I play other champions but I can only see myself playing riven

I’ve also been watching videos to know how to properly use her abilities such as fast q or double cast etc.

A thing I wanted to ask is how to play against mages that have high range as I feel when I play against them they play far back and attack me and sometimes they don’t let me walk up to the minions without me taking a lot of damage.

I also wanted to ask if me playing riven only mid lane is bad for learning her as a champ or if I should play top lane with her as well.

I also want to know what to do if I’m behind with her as a lot of the times if I get killed or have a high cs disadvantage I feel useless.

​I think after eclipse changes. Riven has landed in an okay enough spot winrate wise. But I think a major issue with the changes is they've made her losing matchups even worse and her good matchups even better. With the exception of maybe Renekton.

Matchups like Illaoi, Zaahen, Jayce, and Quinn are significantly more difficult because Eclipse and Blackcleaver are not that good vs these champions. And Axiom is just flat out worse with the changes for obvious reasons. Meanwhile some of Riven's best matchups like Tahm Kench, Sett, Mundo, Sion, and Mordekaiser are potentially even better than they were before Riven got nerfed.

I think for this reason Riven has been shifted into more of a counter pick at least in top lane, making the experience even more feast or famine. I personally don't think Riven has an identity that fits being a counterpick the same way Mundo, Gwen, or Malphite do. But at this point that is who she is most similar to in terms of the difference between her good and bad matchups in toplane.

It does seem like there are still Riven onetricks doing well in challenger, but they are doing so in midlane from what I can tell. I'd be interested if anyone has strategies to make these matchups more neutral for Riven. In particular Zaahen, Quinn, and Garen are matchups I find very hard to get a lead versus even if I am not being camped, and so I feel like I am slowly losing the match unless I get a lucky break to start snowballing.

Edit: I also think it's a bit of a sticky situation since I think the wave to improve Riven in these matchups is to give her more tools to stay in lane (more hp regen/bigger valor base shield) or increasing her burst. Will also make her have more favourable matchups in midlane.

Is it viable to build full ms on river?((Riven)When i say river i mean riven That's my nickname for her lol) Also does she get any stas from ms like hecarim and is there any critical heal item like on aram or in real life when you chose your items when you go to get for waht you need like heal and ms or sheild so i can take their or mine it doesn't really matter but that's besides the point im making here...thoughts?

I stopped playing riven a lot a while ago and I wanna get back into her. What lane is the best for her now? I see some people say she’s not worth playing top but idk if that’s just a skill issue or something.

I'll be cosplaying Riven at Riftbound's Regional Qualifier in LA, and just finished building her sword!

This sword took ~80 hours to build and is ~60"x14" weighing 3.5lb.

Materials used: EVA foam, PVC pipes, an acrylic sheet holding the shattered pieces together, plastazote LED foam and 96 programmed LEDs (48 on each side). The LEDs have a static green mode and a pulsing/breathing animation (which I can't show in pics :/)

Battery and Adafruit microcontroller live in the crossguard chamber. Buttons for mode swaps, On/Off, and USB charge port are by the handle.

I just saw the August clip talking about why Riven doesn't have innate armor pen

He said She has to give something up for it but never actually gave a reason as to why She has no armor pen, I can only assume he means her ad rations/cd make up for the lack of armor pen?

We can take a look at a recent release in Ambessa , this champion has same or arguably better mobility than riven while having %Max health, Armor pen and Spell vamp all in her base kit so She can kill tanks,can still one tap squishies and sustain

In this very sub I believe everyone actually sees the issue and where the frustation comes with Riven, a few patches ago this champion was Exodia on 3 items but no one likes playing Riven like they play Kayle

Give Riven some early game strengh so you dont do 0 damage when enemy takes tabis and Nerf her late game so She doesnt become Exodia If She gets ahead

Since the bastionbreaker buffs I have been going bastion breaker first over axiom arc as it gives me split push and get more gold off plates in side lane. Should I go back to axiom arc or do yall think it’s a good idea.

I know it's not a real thing, but it does feel like that when I start to play well and the wins come in, it's only a matter of time before Riot send me down a streak of fuck knows how many games with the most creature-like team mates.

Sure there are ways that I could've got ahead in lane, which is why I wanted to make this post, I was wondering if there were any higher elo Riven players in here that would be happy to work on my laning with me, I know this is a big ask but I feel as though I've hit a bit of a wall when it comes to Riven atm, I've been learning her for the last 5 months, put well over 500 games in on her and my mechanics on her have definitely improved, but I struggle into Juggernauts that just stat check me and have a load of built-in sustain.

Getting fed in this elo is the only consistent way I believe there is to climb, people won't listen to you if you're 1/3/4 because they see your KDA and assume that you're just shit and don't know what you're doing, but if I'm 8/1/3 then they will follow me around where I want them to go, I need to be getting fed in lane and coming out strong so that I can command my pleb team mates to where they need to go whether that be objectives or side lanes (hopefully they listen) so that my odds of winning are increased, macro in this elo means almost nothing because people do not play the game properly and just want to fight all game.
