Gold IRA match
Since Robinhood Gold matches Roth IRA contributions up to 3% a year, should I be investing at least $7500 a year in my IRA to max that before adding to my regular brokerage account? What would be the advantages/disadvantages of doing so? I know I can withdraw only contributions without penalty, not gains.
Is Robinhood a good app to day trade?
I am very interested in learning how to day trade and I already use Robin Hood to invest but if I could day trade that would be great.

Credit card question - Car down payment
Just trying to get feedback. Has anyone tried to use the Robinhood gold card at a dealership for a portion of the car purchase? I have $9,000 saved up for down payment so I would not put more than $9,000 on my credit card. Although I did read dealership sometimes impose fees or maximum amounts.
Assuming I figure that all out, is there any issues from robinhood's terms of service?
How do y'all use the gold card, do you also have a checking account with robinhood?
I was mostly on capital one ecosystem, that's where i had my credit card, checking and savings.
i do some investing in robinhood so i figured why not get the gold card i heard good things about it.
For those that have used it
- do you see a benefit in also opening the RH checking/savings
- how do you typically redeem your points on the gold card
- how do you use it alongside other cards if you have any others?
My one year with managed investing
So I took $50k and gave it to the managed investing
I have my settings at medium risk. For growth. To make a major purchase in 1-3 years. Which isn't true but whatever.
So the managed portfolio invest in WAY too many things. Between my 5 sectors it's about 65 things. Way too diversified.
Or so I would think. It does everything youtube videos tell me not to do.
But after exactly 1 year yesterday. Out of the 251 trading days in a year. It was positive 224 days. Yes some were only like 0.1% but still.
For the year I was up 51.73% destroyed the s%p and for the last 45 days up 38.74%
There are days the dow is down .5% yet I still make .25%
On top of that, the shitload of stocks it invests in are full of dividends. I literally get dividends on something every single week.
I thought this was going to be straight up garbage, but it has been totally killing it
Banking App Switch
I just got my invite to the banking app, I currently use Schwab for my personal banking. For those that already have it would you say it’s worth moving over to? Schwab reimburses me on all ATM fees is that the same here or is it select ATMs? Schwab transfers take maybe two days for me depending, what are the transfer times in Robinhood? Is it also 24/7 customer support?
What is everyone’s experience with Robinhood Strategies? ROI? Ease?
Signed up on Day 1 and I’m curious what everyone else’s experience has been.
If I just look at 2026 so far with a highest risk tolerance and growth I’m at a ROI of 6.6%. VOO is 8.3%.
And Robinhoods own fund is up 235% in 2026.
Seems like VOO is and forget it still wins.
Using your gold card points
Are people typically using their points from the gold card to redeem directly to their balance, putting it into the gold accounts high yield savings, redeeming it to the brokerage account to put into ETFs, or redeeming it to Robinhoods Roth?
Traditional IRA
I have a traditional IRA with Robinhood. Funds invested in various stocks. But if I want to sell few stocks and invest those funds in some other stocks ? Is it considered a withdrawal or I am good ?
Backdoor IRA with match
How would this work exactly? Put the max amount into a traditional, get the 3% match, then dump everything into Roth IRA and pay taxes on the match? Does this exceed the contribution limit? Do I pay taxes for the entire thing or just the match?
Finally - credit limit increase
Only took 18 months of pretty much max spending but looks like they finally increased my line. Anyone else having similar luck?
