I didn't do a complete breakdown because I couldn't figure out how and when I looked online for a teardown video I found one for pretty much every model BUT the Curv. But I flipped it upside down, and removed the part upfront. I cleaned it thoroughly with IPA, let it air dry for a day or so and then reassembled it. I never removed the wheels (again, I wanted to but couldn't figure out how) so I'm not sure what's going on here.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I’ve had a QEevo Edge for a little over a year now and it is one of the most frustrating products I’ve ever bought. It is constantly getting itself stuck, ramming into dog bowls if they’re left in the floor, and just generally driving me crazy.
At this point I’ve set up a bunch of no go zones and fake walls, but it hasn’t helped much. And I always have to do a pass through the house to make sure it doesn’t have an absolutely perfect cleaning route before it starts cleaning. It feels like the work of cleaning isn’t gone it’s just different.
Yes, I have the collision settings set to the most sensitive possible setting but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
At this point I’m convinced this vacuum can’t actually “see” anything and is really just a marketing scam.
If anyone has any advice I’d really appreciate it, but really just here to rant.
After 7 months of flawlessly working and maneuvering through our apartment it now happened: our Saros 10R here got stuck under my filing cabinet and unlike all the other times he registered the obstacle and moved around it, instead tried with all his might to get under it and damaged himself.
I could've foreseen it since he also got stuck there 2 days ago but stopped before inflicting damage on himself. This should have been a warning sign.
My question now is:
Can/should I contact Roborock and try to get him replaced/checked or would that be in vain? Is there an underlying problem here or am I just unlucky this happened?
For clarification:
I just cleaned all his sensors a week ago so I do t think dirty sensors were at fault here. And he didn't have any issues before.
I just got myself a Saros 20 and now realise they have those so-called module slots in the water tanks.
One empty slot in the dirty water tank, apparently designed to host a Deodorization Module for Waste Water Tank.
Two or three such slots in the clean water tank. One sky blue is apparently a filter for the water output. One preinstalled contains white pellets, possibly to treat hard water. The third slot is empty and I'm not sure what it's for.
I went quickly over the user manual but could not find anything about that. I guess I was just looking at the wrong manual.
Hi, I'm about to buy my first robot - the Saros 10R.
It doesn't come with much spares or accessories so I'm wondering what shall I get right away? Spare mopping pads for sure, dust bags as well. What else?
Does it have to run on original wash fluid or can something else replace it? What's the usage?
Thanks!
I’m brand new to all of these robot vacuum stuff. Right now i’m looking to buy my first and I rather spend more once then upgrading later. Which I need help with finding the right one from you guys recommendation
My home:
- 2 beds, 1 bath
- All hardwood/ wood floor
- No pets
- Lots of furniture with tight spaces and chair legs
- Dust and woman’s hair is a bigger issue
The models I have been looking at are:
- Qrevo Pro
- Qrevo CurvX
- Qrevo S5V
- Or any models that you think would actually do a good job
My priorities are:
Great obstacle avoidance and navigation around tight spaces.
Strong vacuuming and mopping performance.
Reliable dock with minimal maintenance.
Good long-term value (I want something that’ll last several years if possible)
If you’ve owned any of these, what would you recommend and why? Would you buy the same one again today?
My use case: single floor, mix of hardwood and medium carpet. Dog and cat, lots of pet hair. I'm coming from a roborock s5 which did great with navigation but the roller was always very stuck with pet hair. Plus I want a self-emptying base.
Based on reviews, I got the Ecovac T90 pro and had it for a few weeks. I was impressed with the tangle avoidance (roller is clean still) but three issues:
I've always been impressed with the roborock navigation and overall quality - anything better than the T90 in a similar price point?
Does anyone know why my roborock Q7t+ won’t clean the living room? Even if I select it to clean that zone/room only it won’t clean. Has anyone had this issue and knows how to fix it?
I’ve just ordered the S5V on sale on Amazon. I’ve been scouring the web and I’ve only seen one comment in one thread where someone said their S5V had been updated to be Matter compatible. I asked Roborock’s support and at first they said it’s not, then they said it is. Does anyone out there have one that can confirm either way? I’ll cancel and go another direction if I have to, it’s just a good deal.
Day 2: tried using the deep clean option. Is this normal for the bin to get clogged like this? It defeats the purpose of having a self emptying bin. This is my first Roborock so not sure what to expect.
Vacuuming: This is replacing a Roomba J7+. I have pets and a wife with long hair. So I really need something that is great at vacuuming. According to vacuum wars, it had one of the highest scores for vacuuming.
Hair Tangle: I can tell that the hair tangle is better, easier to remove the couple of times it wrapped around the roller.
The only other thing I’ve noticed is it wouldn’t dock if the station is on carpet.
This is our first robovac - we have only had it for a week
When I put it on the highest vacuum setting with the tightest grid pattern it still barely picks up anything.
When it’s mopping, it is leaving whole areas without mopping it, and the mop pressure is really inconsistent. I’ve checked that the mop pads are on correctly and spinning and they are. The water flow is on medium
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but it was a really expensive investment and isn’t performing well at all. If anyone knows what might be wrong I would appreciate it!
First time buyer, looking to purchase a Roborock and unsure which model.
1000 sq ft mainfloor, all hardwood, have young kids and a cat.
No budget but don’t need the most expensive option unless it’s highly rated and recommended
Any input appreciated
I moved to a new place a few months ago and now have another floor to clean.
My Saros 10r has been doing its job but it’s a pita to move it between floors.
Is the Saros 20 significantly better that I should try to get it?
Amazon Prime day is coming to Japan in a few days so looking to pick something up.
Open to other models as well.
Im reviewing different options of the roborock robot vacuums and im looking to buy. Which one should I go for, also I would like not to spend to much money
Hi everyone,
I have a Roborock Saros R10 and over the last few weeks I’ve noticed small white pellets appearing in the clean water tank of the docking station.
They seem to be coming out of a small filter or cartridge located inside the clean water tank (see photos). The pellets are hard, round, and look almost like tiny medicine pils?
What exactly are these pellets?
Has anyone else experienced this with the Saros R10 or other recent Roborock models?
The robot and dock still seem to work normally, but I’m concerned that the filter may be deteriorating.
Thanks in advance!
I bought a Roborock Q7 M5+ during the Prime Day sale, and I’ve had it for about a week.
I scheduled Room 1 to clean at 6:00 AM, but it’s almost 2:00 PM and it’s still cleaning.
It has already gone back to the dock 3 times to fully recharge before continuing.
Now it seems to be acting strangely and looks like it’s trying to re-clean areas it has already finished instead of completing the room.
Last week I decided to give a thorough clean to my little helper and I noticed a pebble was rattling inside. What is better than violently shaking it around without the battery lid to shake it off?
Instantly regretted it. It ripped 3 of the 4 PCB traces.
Don't worry, thanks to my background in electronics, I was able to fix it half decently and it's now working again! Buyacasha 😎
What a day...
I have this aluminium threshold between our lounge and conservatory. My Saros 20 (and my previous Saros 10 and S7 MaxV) can cross it, but it’s a bit of a messy brute-force event involving lots of wheel spinning, grounding-out and backing up. That would be fine if it only did it when transiting between the two rooms, but it will cross it multiple times when doing the lounge and the same when it’s doing the conservatory, presumably as it’s trying to get right to the edge of both rooms.
Moving the room divider wouldn’t help, as then it would just do the same all the time when cleaning the room I’d extended to include the threshold. I have the threshold marked as such, but it still doesn’t stop the robot constantly struggling with the overlap every time it does either room.
Any suggestions please?
