ONN Roku TV goes to home screen whenever it checks for update.

At about 9 am every day my TV changes inputs from whatever i'm using to the home screen, I was tearing my hair out because it does it while gaming, which is obviously extremely annoying. I looked through the settings and looked online and couldn't find anything until I noticed my "last checked for update" time was the same minute the TV reset. It's not even actually updating, just checking and it resets my input source.

I love my Roku Stick.

Some time ago, I asked for tips and guidance for my Roku, and a comment saved me from subscribing to a streaming service through Roku, for which I'm grateful. But getting back to the subject, I really loved Roku, especially when I activated developer mode. I loved Roku a lot; the system is very fluid and easy to use. Congratulations, Roku!

Roku Ultra (4850X) + YouTube app stuttering >1.0x speed

Got banned from the r/roku channel for asking this simple question.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the YouTube app when playback is >1.0x speed? The audio and video quickly get out of sync, and the playback stutters for a moment every 3-5 seconds.

I can't find anyone online talking about it, but it's happened now to 3 different ultras, one of which was brand new out of the box today.

I've tried factory resetting them all. No clue what to do other than find a different streaming device.

Is there anyone else out there having this problem?

Banned by r/Roku

I caught a permanent ban in r/Roku for telling the truth about their shitty products. If you use that sub, you better censor yourself. If you start to tell the truth, they’ll just kick you out.

Help getting my roku to turn on

I have my dad’s roku tcl tv from around 2019-2021. I got it when he moved last year and had it in storage, I pulled it out when I needed a tv and cannot get it to turn on. Wondering if I need any other cords. Tv was working fine before it was put in storage.(white usb cord in photo was not connected to anything as it was too short)

TCL ROKU tv is stuck on repeating factory reboot

My TCL Roku TV, model 55S21, is stuck in a continuous reboot/factory reset loop. I have already tried performing a factory reset, but it did not resolve the issue.

When I attempt the recovery/update process, the TV downloads and installs the update to 100%, restarts, and then immediately goes back into the same reboot loop.

I have also tried obtaining the Roku software update for a USB installation, but the Roku update website will not accept or recognize my TV’s hardware/model information

Roku remote directional shield

I'm looking for a but of help. I work at a nursing home and there are 2 residents per room. This particular room has 2 roku tvs and as you can surmise, when 1 uses remote it affects the other one. I have found a temporary by blocking the outer edges of the ir/rf "window" with electrical tape, making it very directional thus eliminating controlling both at once. I am looking with no luck for a "cover" of sorts that I can snap in place to essentially narrow the beam down. Any and all suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Unable to watch ROKU live on iphone/ipad

Hello. Can anyone offer advice on how to watch ROKU live on my iphone and ipad? The app will only let me connect to a ROKU device and my TV, and use my iphone like a remote control to watch the TV.

TIA

Edit: I’ve followed advice posted here and now I just go through my browser. Thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my question.
