Can anyone help me identify if this Rolex is fake?

Just looking at an old family collection, it’s very dirty and has some worn out gold on the bracelet (thought the gold on the bracelet wasn’t gold plated)

Rolex Verification?

I found this guy in the street 10-12 years ago and just unearthed it. It had a broken clasp but otherwise still works. Is it even real?

Is it real? Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date from 2004

Hi Reddit gang,

I bought a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date from 2004 and only recently did I have it opened by a watchmaker to see what is inside. Took some pictures from the movement, can you confirm this is real?

Reference: 15200 with sunburst dial
Movement: 3135
Year: 2004 (corresponds with serial no. on the case)

Appreciate the help! Thanks.

Hard to beat the original 16622 Yacht-Master

I am currently on the wait list for a Titanium Yacht-Master, as it's the only other Yacht-Master that's appealing to me. The original Yacht-Master platinum is stunning when the sun hits the sand blasted dial. What is your favorite Yacht-Master to date?

Datejust

Been offered this by a friend for £3k, I know the picture isn't much to go off but can anyone tell me if it's real or not - and a rough idea of value would be appreciated!

Buy or pass? Rare Rolex Ref. 1513 with original mesh bracelet

I found a very unusual yellow gold 34mm Rolex ref. 1513 at a vintage watch store in Japan and would love to hear some opinions from vintage Rolex collectors.

The watch has its original mesh bracelet and what appears to be a cross-fluted bezel. The condition is excellent overall, the bracelet is extremely tight, and it also comes with the original box. The asking price is approximately $18,250 USD including Japanese sales tax.

I was originally searching for a yellow gold Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse ref. 3738, but I randomly came across this watch while shopping. The store itself is very old-school — no online shop, no social media, and the owner is known for being quite selective with customers, which probably explains the low Google Maps rating.

I was lucky enough to try it on, and honestly, it fit my 6.25-inch wrist surprisingly well. The integrated mesh bracelet and hidden clasp felt much more special in person than I expected.

Now I’m torn between continuing the search for the “right” Ellipse or buying this 1513 while I have the chance.

I also learned that ref. 1514 has a somewhat similar appearance to the 1513, although the bezel design seems slightly different. The 1513 I found also has a wave-like pattern on the mesh bracelet that I have not seen on most 1514 examples.

I’d really appreciate any thoughts on:

* the rarity of ref. 1513
* current market value
* collectibility of these mesh bracelet Rolex models
* differences between ref. 1513 and 1514
* whether this feels like a strong buy or something to pass on

For comparison, I’ll also attach a photo of the Golden Ellipse I was considering. I would also like to share my current collection:
* AP RO 15450st gray dial
* AP Code 11.59 15210qt smoke dial
* Patek Aquanaut 5167/1A (usually worn with a rubber bracelet)
* Rolex Day Date 40 228258 sundust dial

Rolex day date authentication help

A family friend recently passed away and this was his watch. He wore it daily for over 20 years so it definitely shows wear. Unfortunately there’s no box or papers/card, so I’m unsure if it’s authentic.

From what I can tell it appears to be a vintage Rolex Day-Date, possibly 60s I also can’t find many examples with this exact champagne stick-marker dial.

I’m considering buying it from the family if it’s real, so I was hoping some of you could give your opinion on whether Rolex made this dial/font configuration from factory and if the watch itself looks authentic. Any info would really help.

What concerns me is the day marker being off centered
Some letters touching and looking sloppy
But I’m no expert
Admins deleted my thread on the other post so reposting it

One user stated it’s from the 60s

I will try and get more pics of everything
I appreciate any advice

How would you rank these 3?

  1. How would you rank these from favorite to least favorite for a woman who exclusively wears yellow gold jewelry?

  2. If you could own 2 of the 3, which 2 would you choose?

A. 2001 26mm President, Sunbeam Dial
B. 1994 29mm Yacht-Master, Champagne Dial
C. 2014 36mm Datejust, Champagne Dial

Thanks so much!
