Was introduced to an AD June 1st. Asked to put Wimbledon on my list. After figuring out it’ll take at least couple years, asked if two tone DJ41 would come quicker. He said yes and took around 17 days. Super cool AD! Promised him I would take photos with it at my child’s sporting event and he was stoked also. First Rolex I’ve purchased. Everose chocolate dial! So I went in looking for a steel version and I got the call from the AD for a rose gold. I don’t have history with any Rolex ADs but I’m on the fence about this. I don’t think the dial matches with the rose gold and I know I’ll never be called for the steel without any purchase history. I found a chocolate dial rose gold fluted in the gray market for retail price. What should I do? The chocolate dial looks much better on the rose gold. 1. Buy the steel Wimbledon gray market for 5k mark up 2. Buy Wimbledon rose gold from AD 3. Buy chocolate dial for retail price on gray market ?
