Booked a Royal Enfield Bear 650 (Golden Shadow) yesterday after cancelling my Continental GT 650 booking 😭

What’s confusing me is that the app already shows “Dispatched” within 24 hours and tentative delivery is showing 22 June.
Dealer is still saying 2–2.5 months though.
Does “dispatched” mean the bike has actually left the factory / warehouse or is it just internal processing?
Also what usually happens after dispatched in the RE tracker?
How long do you guys think it realistically takes for the bike to reach Vadodara, Gujarat after this stage?
Would love to hear from people who recently got a Bear 650 delivered.

Headlight Adjustment

Anyone managed to adjust headlight height?

Mine feels too low in the delivered setting. I checked the manual, but the instructions are weird. It mentions one screw to adjust height by rotating it, but rotating it does nothing but loose the screw. And I still can't move the headlight.

Image is screw owner's manual.

Is my rear tyre faulty?

Hi all,

I have had four punctures on my Bear 650 rear tyre in the past four months (3600 km done so far). The last one was last week, and as I type this, I'm sitting out in the boondocks waiting for a truck to come pick my bike up. Each time it has been a nail or a large thorn. The absence of a centre stand makes fixing a puncture a real pain, especially since there is no tubeless option for the Bear. I own four other motorcycles, and I have never had a similar issue on any of them.

I have the stock MRF Nylorex installed at the back. The rear tyre looks absolutely fine to the eye. Do you all think there could be something wrong with my tyre that could render it more puncture prone?

TLDR: 4 punctures in 4 months over 3600 kms. Is my rear tyre made of chewing gum?

He is coming together finally!

Shadow holds an incredibly special place in my heart. I’ve been putting some personal touches on him recently to really make him my own, and I wanted to share how he’s looking right now.

Super happy with how the aesthetic is coming together. Looking forward to sharing more rides and catching you all!

Ps: The seat cover and tank grips are from Raw & Rugged. I am planning to remove the seat cover soon due to the rain, so I thought of sharing this look before the change!

Hey everyone,

I have a Royal Enfield Explorer V4 (Print version) in Size L, but the fit isn't quite right for me. The jacket is in [Excellent/New] condition.

Looking to trade for one of the following:

Explorer V4 – Size XL

Crossroader – Size L

Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

[ I have friends in Bangalore & Hyderabad, so sending the jacket to Bangalore or Hyderabad is not a big deal]

Condition: It’s brand new and includes all liners and armor.

Drop a comment or DM if you're looking to size down or swap styles!

FuelX Lite vs Pro+ for Bear 650 with de-cat + free-flow exhaust + BMC filter?

Hey everyone!

I’m running a BMC performance air filter, free-flow exhaust, and a de-cat on my Bear 650. The bike feels like it’s running too lean now, and I’m pretty sure it really needs an ECU remap.

The issue is I don’t want to mess with the warranty yet, so I’ve been considering a FuelX Pro+ as a temporary solution. Wanted to know what you guys think about it from actual experience.

Would the FuelX Lite be enough for my setup since it’s almost half the price, or is the Pro+ worth spending extra on for intake + exhaust mods like mine

I know FuelX isn’t a perfect solution and doesn’t work across the full rev range like a proper tune or piggyback ECU, but I’m thinking of using it for now and upgrading to a piggyback ECU later when I’ve saved up some money.

TIA!

Handlebar options

Hi folks. I wanted to check which handlebars I can go for. I’ve already installed moto torque handlebar riser and it’s still not comfortable, there’s a bit of lean.

I saw KTM 390 Adventure’s Handlebar, and SM650’s too. Does anyone have any experience and suggestions on this?

TIA!

Bear 650 - Tubeless Conversion

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to convert my Bear 650 to a tubeless setup. Since the stock tyres are already tubeless-ready, I’m debating between sealing the existing spoke rims or replacing them with aftermarket alloys.

I’ve dealt with three punctures in the last six months, and between the bike's weight and the lack of a center stand, it’s becoming a massive headache.

Has anyone here successfully sealed their Bear 650 rims, or is there a reliable aftermarket alloy set you’d recommend?

Suggestion

Hello everyone, I’m planning a bike ride from Mumbai to Goa, stopping in Udupi. I’m going with my partner, so I need to buy some bike accessories. Here’s what I’m thinking:

  1. Bike accessories: I’d like to get top racks and side racks.
  2. Should I put a top box or bags on the bike?
  3. I need a new jacket for my female rider and a helmet for both of us.
  4. I’m thinking about getting a tubeless kit for my bike.
  5. I should also carry some emergency items.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or additional items I should consider. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sunday morning rituals.

Riding in the hills has been exhilerating albeit a little bumpy. It pounces ahead eagerly even in steep climbs and very rarely do I feel the 200+ kilos of bike. Apart from replacing the rear shocks, could anyone suggest a hack?

Bear 650 ABS and EMS communication lost error

So after 4000km, the bike first started with ABS communicator lost error , then after few days both EMS and ABS communicator lost error started . It only happens intermittent and when it happens bike still runs normal , but the Cluster goes blank .
Gave to service centre , they tried reset ECU , new ECU , it did not solve any issue . Then they cleared the history related to CAN communication timeout /DLC failure
Once I got the bike till home everything was fine, next day morning again the same issue came . So service centre are telling this is the first any issue related to bear 650 is coming .
Anyways I have told them to replace the ABS wiring and the module and see if it works .

The error code is U2944

Attaching the actual error
