I’ve asked before what I should build to hide/ store my loot in case of a raid and the 2 biggest options were brain box and Chinese bunkers and now I’m wonder which ones are better and how many I should place I think I’m going for 6-8
I believe I’m about to be raided so in case I do what’s the best way to hide loot? Should I do a 1X1 hqm bunker or stone 2x1 2 grids away?
Yoo, out here looking for help from some rust and PC experts. I recently upgraded from am4 to am5. Now running a R7 9800X3D and 2x16gb DDR5-CL36-7600mt/s sticks. (G.Skill Tridentz Z5 RGB).

I’ve recently started getting random crashes (never been an issue before with my AM4 rig). My game just suddenly closes itself while being on main servers and so on (I don’t crash on aim trainers). Basically, I don’t get any indications that my game is about to crash, no drops, no freezes, nothing. Game just fully closes itself out of nowhere meanwhile all my other apps and windows functions like normal. After the crash my pc is also fully normal.
Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this? I’m suspecting my RAM. I’m running the ram att 7600mt/s in bios (full speed at expo), I don’t know if that is the issue?
I’m able to run rust sometimes for an hour, sometimes 30 min. It just depends. Crashes randomly basically

I’ll try to explain this as best I can. I’ve noticed that I keep running into hostile scientists on the outskirts of the map, near the beaches, or even along the roadsides—and all the time in the sewers—but when I go to certain places like the satellite dish or other locations such as the military silo, I don’t see any scientist NPCs, either on the surface or in the underground areas of those locations—the same goes for the oil rigs. Here are some details about my server and setup: I’m on a local server using SteamCMD; when checking entities, I found that there were 306 scientist NPCs, and I’m playing solo without friends. I’ll provide a list of screenshots showing that I haven’t disabled or restricted character spawns; I don’t have any mods or plugins. Thanks ;)
Any insight into why I got banned for a highly suspicious account? I literally just bought my pc a month ago to play Rust, as RCE was horrible. I was roaming, killed a couple of people with a SAR, died spawned on a bag, got kicked from the server and am now banned

I’ve been playing Rust for over 9 years. I have more than 10,000 hours in the game. I’ve made funny Rust moments videos on YouTube, played with friends almost every day, and spent most of my free time in Rust. I’m also a skin collector: almost every week I buy half of the Rust Item Store, and my inventory is worth around $1,500.
Let me say upfront: I have never used cheats in Rust and never planned to. I’ve always been against third-party software that gives an in-game advantage because I understand it’s punishable.
Today, August 13, 2026, I joined the game to stay AFK and watch my base while working. At some point I alt-tabbed back into the game and saw a server kick with the reason EAC ban. I immediately checked my Steam profile and saw “1 game ban”. Honestly, I didn’t immediately understand what was happening and didn’t know what to do.
I started looking into the situation. From what I understand, EAC bans are not simply removed, and Facepunch is likely powerless here. After that, I wrote to Facepunch support hoping for help, and I’m currently waiting for a reply. I also submitted an appeal to EAC regarding the game ban — I’m still waiting for an email response.
Additional context about the software I run in the background:
I’m really interested in what could have triggered the EAC ban and which factor caused it. What can I do now, and where else can I write to appeal the game ban?

Battlefield 6 added secure boot and cheaters in their lobbies dropped from 7% to 2%. Valorant's Vanguard anti-cheat relies on it, too. It's being used because it works.
Over 80% of Rust players already have the hardware for it. Unless your motherboard is over 10 years old, it almost certainly has Secure Boot and TPM. And if it is that old, sorry to break it to you, but you do need to upgrade hardware over time to keep playing games that get constant updates.

Hello everyone, I’ve logged onto my steam account recently to play the new update when the game booted up and I joined a server I was kicked for an EAC ban. I work away from home (fly in fly out work) and haven’t been on my pc for 16 days while I was away and haven’t touched rust for roughly 6 months as I don’t have enough free time to play. When I checked my steam profile it showed I was ban about a month prior to when I actually tried to play. I have recently been having trouble of random Chinese friends appearing on my friends list and my mates asking me why I were playing a steam game whilst I way away at work. I assumed my account was compromised and changed all my passwords and account settings. Is there anyway this is reversible as I’m still pretty fresh to the game with roughly 800 hours. Is there any way this could have been another person or program?
