"they balance around the casuals" is a flawed argument

You guys probably saw the Clip where it took literally 3 minutes just for the first fight the end and some team capturing point. This should not exist"they balance around the casuals"argument really made some of the dumbest balance decisions come to life(looking at you self shield)and is a really flawed decision overall. Now i dont mean that we stopped listening casuals entirely because they are important and are a huge part of the community like ı also think BP should be kept weak because he is toxic.Low elo stompers are always a thing in games and some games also make them weak on purpose.

But i think what rivals is doing isnt healthy for the game there is a reason this game is known for shitty balancing.I think balancing for the casuals this much does not work because of many reasons.

First is it makes casuals not improve stuff like so much healing, survavability, too many escape options makes player not improve at the game.Dps players doesnt know how to take position, tank players doesnt use cover and took bullets head on, supports can get away with burning their important cooldowns because they can get away with this mistakes normally a support or dps should die if caught in a bad position but in rivals mistakes like this dont get punished so even some high Rank players doesnt know how to position well. There is lots off tank players who doesnt use cover because the absurd healing and support ults in this game make them not learn it by normally playing the game(and ı know damage is also high but healing is a lot higher just look at ow supports)

there is a reason you see champ cnd players who are shit because thats what happens when you give a character 3 immortalty cooldowns they never have the learn the basics of the game and this makes so dive dps has to be insane or they do not compete in this enviroment.ı know there is a lot off players who doesnt wanna get better and just wanna play the game but you shouldnt cater to them this much the casual player isnt passionate about your game like a top 5 percent player is.

I know they are a small percentage but there is a reason most games balance around them pro play and high ranks is a core part off your community casual players can come and go but your pro players stick with the game and many people also watch high Rank streamers and pro players and those people can get tired off this game when the balancing is this shit.

Like not nerfing mantis who has a 60 percent winrate across all ranks just because in the hand off casuals is insane.

Now i dont know if they think they can get more money this way but İ think a lot more people enjoy the game more if it had good balancing.Making casual players competitive players that care about the game seems like it would make more money(im not sure about the money part but it would be better for the community)you cant do that when for competitive you balancing is shit. l know ı will get a lot of hate for this but ı really think this would be for the betterment off the game.

TLDR:we shouldnt forget about casuals but we should be balancing around pro play more

Edit:guys i used the space bar sorry for the inreadeble text at the original post

How hard is Ryze?

to keep it short im silver struggling to find a main, constantly switch roles, can never stick to a champ because their downsides always feel like they outweight the advantages, for example, vlad no prio early, viktor has to respect ganks so hard my ego cant handle it, if i get ganked i like to dance around the lane and waste jungle time and root them, or Q them when im on vlad. I performed the best with sylas, vlad, akshan.

I just hear people say ryze is hard/ has bad matchups but hes one of the champs ive never tried nor do i know how difficult he is or what makes him hard, never really vs him either. I understand I should just play whatevers fun but im not looking to be demoted nor do i find constantly losing fun, any other champ recs are fine too just not vegan toddler champs like nafiri diana. Dravens cool too but heard ADCs have not a lot of impact on the outcome of the game nor do I like playing with supports who are somehow even worse than me

THE CLIMB

Now in order of actually hitting Challanger, i need advice from my fellow brethren. How do you hard win lanes vs nasus, ornn or garen? Even when i go even they are way more useful than me. This information is crucial in order of us getting nerfed.

New to ryze

Hey looking to get into OTPing ryze. Just started playing him and enjoying it. Is he worth trying to OTP out of bronze? Any tips you can recommend.

Played some LoL Classic — my thoughts on modern Ryze

First off, I used to be a die-hard follower and advocate of the Desperate Power playstyle — and now it's been faithfully recreated on the classic server.

If you've checked my post history, you'll see I've been pretty obsessed with Ryze's old ultimate, Desperate Power. I've imagined countless times what it would look like if that old ult were brought back into his modern kit — and in my mind, that version would be so, so much better than the current Ryze. But after actually playing the classic server, the feedback I got was pretty clear — I don't think modern Ryze would be better off if his ultimate were reverted to the old Desperate Power. Here's why. To me, modern Ryze's passive essentially does the same thing as his old ultimate. His entire kit already keeps him in a state that feels a lot like Desperate Power — his abilities have built-in AoE, which means he can maintain really strong fighting power even when his ultimate is on cooldown. He doesn't fall off a cliff without it, unlike the old days when you only felt truly powerful while the ult was up.

However, that doesn't mean the old ultimate is strictly worse. The movement speed from Ryze's passive is backloaded — it only kicks in after a full combo. Given his pitifully short range, that delayed speed boost often fails to make a real difference. Old Desperate Power was frontloaded: you press R, you get the speed. That upfront mobility is simply more effective and way easier to use. So, after playing on the classic server, I've taken a fresh look at modern Ryze's kit. Instead of reverting his ultimate, I honestly think what he really needs is a revert of his W. The more I played the classic version, the more I felt that the old W is simply superior and far more irreplaceable than the current one.

Is Cassiopea the hardest matchup in mid laning phase currently?

Ryze is the one who benefited from deathfire touch, but Cass benefited even more. I never lost to Cass before the rune was released but now she feels too difficult to win in laning phase. I never won a single laning phase against her. Is she the hardest matchup in mid laning phase currently? Any tips? Perhaps use ghost in level 1 or 2 to avoid her Q and play aggressively?

Ryze is not a strong champ statisics says so.

How can you seriously argue that Ryze is a strong champion when there are practically no Ryze OTPs in Challenger? There’s literally only one player who consistently plays Ryze at that level. If the champion is actually strong, where are all the high-elo Ryze mains?

And before someone says, “There are just fewer Ryze players,” that’s exactly the point. A champion being theoretically strong on paper means nothing if the actual results at the highest level don’t support it. Challenger players spend thousands of games mastering their champions, and yet Ryze barely has any representation among them.

Look at other champions even unpopular or supposedly weak ones and you can still find dedicated OTPs reaching Challenger or Grandmaster. Ryze is one of the few champions where even extremely dedicated players struggle to reach that level consistently.

So if Ryze is supposedly “strong,” why does the highest level of the ladder barely reflect that? At some point, you have to look at the actual player distribution instead of just saying, “Ryze is strong because his kit has good scaling.”

A champion can have a theoretically strong kit and still be weak in the actual game. If the champion requires significantly more effort just to achieve what other champions can do more easily, that matters. Show me the Challenger Ryze OTPs. If Ryze is really that strong, where are they?

I can't even enjoy League Classic

Every game before I reached League Pass Level 10 in League Classic I enjoyed every game I played, specially those I was able to pick Ryze, no matter if I started well or bad or even the role I got assigned, but every game since I reach Level 10 AKA the Ranked queue, it has been cancerfest after cancerfest of camping, team refusal to help, toxicity against me because I'm getting camped and doing poorly from it, and continuous losses (mind you I haven't won a single game post-League Pass Level 10, all losses), specially since I realized that compared to actual Old Ryze, this one has A Q RANGE THAT IS SMALLER THAN THE REST OF HIS SPELLS AND AUTOATTACKS INSTEAD OF BIGGER. The fact I'm being queue'd on a streak of constant losses + the Q thing is actually making me hate the game again.

Any guide on how to optimize Ryze in League Classic? I cba to endure the constant harass of tryhard retards that I get to get camped by every game.

Thought on actually why Ryze feels weak

It isn't necessarily that Ryze is bad. It is more so the current meta that is the issue.

The meta of double mage bot causes a few things. Engage to pair with it, more MR being built (not many great ad tank/bruiser killers).

Ryze struggles into high range. High range on the enemy team but also high range on his team. I have had so many games with no engage poke comps on MY team and it feels impossible for me to do anything in fights mid and late. I'm usually the closest person to fights and having to partly be the tank buying space. It just feels terrible.

Trying to kill tanks before 4th item void is impossible as well that were able to hard stack MR.

Bring back the adcs bot!

I think ryze shouldnt level up ultimate when Asol on enemy team xD

Im exaggerating ofc so hold your horses.

But this is the 2nd time this has happened to me, where ryze ulted aggresively after we took baron, and we got wiped.

Literaly donated penta to ASOL LOL.

We still won that game, but oh man, that was something xD.

Its also on me, I shouldnt have taken it.
