r/RyzeMains

I think Ryze should use the World Runes for shits and giggles but then again, it's all fun and games until the Rune Mage Shit's and giggle's 😔

OTP-Names

soooooo I was wondering and pondering and came to the conclusion that now, that I have been indoctrinated in the Blue Man Cult, my account shall be given a matching name. I came here to gather some input by my fellow eqeqeq enjoyers.
Here is what I am currently considering:

-RyzeAndCommitTaxFraud

-EQEQEQEQEQRQ

- Number42withRyze

- Ryzecooker

- Veni Vidi Ryze

Edit: grammar

I don't understand

Why would Riot’s designers rather create an item like Actualizer than simply revert Desperate Power? This item is clearly just another version of Desperate Power — and even so, they still refuse to bring back the old ultimate.

Sentry Ryze build.

Mostly optimal for toplane but kinda works in mid as well.
Roa->Seraphs->Actu->Raba->Fimbulwinter

Yes this is late game build you spike like crazy with Fimbulwinter last item. Actu does 51% increased dmg, shielding so Late game Actualizer E->Q does like 2.2k dmg plus you have 5k hp.

Runes -> Dft bone plating for surviving lane. or electro

Fimbul 4th is also ok for high hp low dmg.

buy 2nd tear after seraphs stack so when building actualizer.

Basically, you flash Act E->W to make enemy AD disappear.

Looking for an old Youtuber

I remember watching an old-school Ryze main YouTuber back in the day and I'm trying to find his channel.

He was kinda toxic and used to upload videos doing 1v5 challenges against Bronze players, along with other similar challenges. Does anyone remember his name?

Tiple tonic is far more important than you think!

Made a post about it before but the gist of it is this.

With double adaptive, Doran's ring + Tear + Dark Seal + Blasting + Elixir of Force. You one shot the caster minions with an EQ and kill melees with a full combo AT LEVEL 6,7,8.

This saves you at the very least 3s (closer to 5s) of waveclear. Making it, in my opinion, MANDATORY!

DO NOT SLEEP ON IT!

An awareness report

4 to 5 accounts successfully got SultansOfLeague down with blatantly racist posts over the span of 5 hours. It might, or will happen to this too if you don't take action. Report any and all posts that seem suspiciously tipping over the racist race war type of chud posting. Our brothers will be missed. I suspect draven mains got deleted for that too. Have a good one.

Edit: turns out dravenmains is still up. Sorry for the false status report. Still they got the SultansOfLeague down, that I know of.

Yoo we sleeping on that 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆!

That 25% extra shield with the MR makes Mages and AP assassins regret waking up today. Yeah we lose on Rabadon's (rant again for why passive should be with levels) but on a mostly MR comp its more efficient.

Edit: AP* not MR

How do you play this champ?

For context, I'm a mid-Emerald mid laner playing in the competitive scene (scrims, leagues, etc) and I just don't really understand how to maximize the value on this champ. I know his most fundamental skill combos and I think I have solid itemization (which I'll list below for review), but there's more I just don't understand with him. The only thing I think I understand quite well on how to play Ryze is that he's meant to hard shove the lane to keep prio. That's about where my Ryze knowledge ends. First, let's start with the build. Currently I do:

- Sorcs/Steelcaps/Merc Treads (depending on enemy team comp. Also I haven't played him since new boots came in so I haven't tried those yet.)
- RoA (Tear first, though)
- Archangels
- Actualizer if I feel like I can get away with it
- Situational between Rabadon's, Zhonyas, Frozen Heart, Shadowflame, and Void Staff, where I choose based on how much I need to survive vs how much damage I need to put out.

Here's a couple of points that I think I fundamentally misunderstand about how to extract value out of Ryze. If anyone has advice on any of these, I'd greatly appreciate it.

- Fighting feels awful. Because of Ryze's short range, I feel like I can hardly ever participate in a fight. If I'm in range for my spells, it feels like everyone on the enemy team is already in range for theirs, they get on top of me, and I lose a ton of HP just peeling them off before having to go back in and fight again.

- Late game feels extremely volatile. This probably pairs a lot with my previous point, but even though I do insane damage late game, I also feel like I die instantly late game to most champs/comps. Back to the "if I'm in range to cast my spells, I'm in lethal range for the enemy team" concept. Should I be doing like... 2 defensive items just to survive or something?

- What is his niche? While I do enjoy some Ryze and kept him in my competitive pool for a bit, it ended up being hard to justify picking him. I see he's picked a lot in pro play, but I don't really see why. When my team is drafting, I feel like anything I'd pick Ryze for, there's just better picks. So I'm assuming there's some kind of key piece I'm missing here.

Again, any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
