S25 Ultra battery life is driving me insane 3-4 hrs SOT and 9hrs of total including standby. Please help me figure out what's wrong.
I've had my S25 Ultra for almost a year now, and the battery life has become absolutely horrendous.
I'm barely getting 3–4 hours of screen-on time, and the phone lasts only around 9 hours total, including standby. This is with normal day-to-day usage (browsing, messaging, social media, emails), not gaming or heavy video recording.
I've tried pretty much every troubleshooting step I could find:
- Put unnecessary apps into Sleep/Deep Sleep.
- Turned off Always On Display.
- Turned off Battery Protection.
- Checked battery usage for obvious rogue apps.
- Updated to One UI 8.5.
- Cleared cache after updates.
- Device Care says the battery health is Good.
Despite all that, nothing has improved.
At this point, I feel like something is draining the battery in the background, but I just can't figure out what it is. It's honestly driving me nuts.
How do I actually identify the culprit? Is there a way to see what's causing excessive drain beyond the basic battery usage page? Are there any Samsung diagnostics, ADB commands, or third-party apps that can pinpoint the issue?
Could this be:
- A rogue system service?
- Poor cellular signal?
- Google Play Services?
- A corrupted app after updating to One UI 8.5?
- A hardware issue, even though Device Care reports the battery health as Good?
If you've had this happen, what was the actual cause, and how did you fix it?
I'm happy to post screenshots of my battery usage, app list, or any diagnostic screens if that helps. I just want to get to the bottom of this because 3–4 hours of SOT and only ~9 hours total battery life on an S25 Ultra is nowhere near normal.
