Hi everyone,
I scored around 80 percentile in JEE Main and am trying to decide between:
I'm finding mixed information online, so I'd really appreciate opinions from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with these colleges.
Some questions I have:
I've heard SAU is more academically focused and has international exposure, while VIPS benefits from being in the IPU ecosystem. However, I'm not sure which would be the better choice overall.
If you had 80 percentile in JEE Main, which one would you pick and why?
Thanks!
my main aim is to go for Master/Phd aboroad, so pls guys geniuine help krdo.
Yes, for the past few days I have literally read every single post on this sub related to btech cse
And you know what?? I'm still confused
And this is gonna be a long one
So, this is my situation
I got pretty decent marks in bitsat i can get like dual degree( physics hopefully, civil btech at the very least)
But as a second option I'm considering these 2 colleges sau cse And mahe bengaluru cse.
I screwed jee and viteee( so no thapar, vit, and any other Delhi college)
I live in noida( 30km from campus)
Ive talked to my dad and my neighbour( who is a senior engineer at eil)
And they're placing sau over bengaluru saying it's government mnu and has huge potential.
And how your skills matter more over industry tie-ups
i really want to have a great campus life
money is not a problem
really don't care about the location( as long as campus is good)
I've read a lot of posts and half of the people them either love or hate sau
So for only those studying in 3rd or 4th year (with a decent cgpa 8+) I would really love to know your thoughts
Regarding the -
Campus
Faculty
Peer group ( considering cutoffs are so low)
Hostels ( my rank was under 50 in first merit list)
Overall academics( i am considering higher studies)
Placements, industry tie ups and especially coding culture
I just know that I'm gonna join bits in the end.
(Still would be stupid to not consider a second option)
But the manipal counselling form is like 10,000 inr 😭
and after reading all these posts in this sub I got really confused.
Thank you 💙
Can someone please tell me how good SAU(south asian University) is for MA Economics.
Is this an internship, or a job or a temporary role? Also how to get selected in such programs. Pretty sure it's a great achievement for the student.
I got into mathematics and computing for 2026 batch like ik btech for ug is new here so confused Abt placement so seniors pls help
Is there a possibility of a second merit list being released for B.Tech admissions, and if so, when might it be published? Additionally, for those who have been offered admission, what is the deadline to accept the offer?
same as the title
Is it even worth doing IR from this university? I've heard mixed reviews, those who say that its IR course is second only to JNU in this country while others who say how its faculty has been assimilated by RSS and BJP. Looking at its Syllabi, it doesn't seem as impressive to other Universities and colleges, the topics seem to meander without any specific specialization or details. It may just be that the website did a terrible job at promoting the syllabus and perhaps the goals and objectives of the programme are different from what I expected.
Are there any recent alumni or students currently studying who can comment on this? What is the programme and the university like? I don't expect it to be perfect, i.e. it's non-existent placements, but how are Professors and fellow students.
Would be appreciated if anyone could comment on the Hostel situation. How to apply and what are the chances?
Bhai result aaya aur usme mera naam 37 par tha for btech exam entrance test , ye rank thi ya bs random order pls tell and also admission lu ya nhi
So, I got an offer letter from SAU through its entrance test. I want to pursue a career in research (mainly cosmology/astrophysics), I thought of getting in a research oriented program. Obviously, the first choice was IISER or IISC if am lucky, but I don't see much chances of getting in. The second option was through CUET in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University for the same course, but I am not sure about getting in there either...
The last date to pay and confirm my admission is 8th June, and IAT is on 7th June. The result of either IAT or CUET would be here by then to say 'Well I got an admission there, why go here?' or an option to be like 'aww I didn't get in either lets go for SAU, cause it would be closed by then.'
Now, is going to SAU and paying well above 1L for a sem a good choice?
IDK cause there are no genuine reviews or placement data, what am I supposed to base my decision on?
I just got my name on the first merit list , so people who are already in the course, could you tell me a bit more about the college? How's the campus life and environment? And what about the faculty?
Thanks
Dear Juniors
Let’s get one thing straight right now.
If you’re hunting for career answers, advice, or your future on Reddit, stop. It’s an anonymous playground for people who want to complain without putting their name behind it. You’re entering the world of business. You’re supposed to be future management professionals, not tourists. Act like it.
If you have a serious query, you raise it on a serious platform. That means LinkedIn. If you don't have a profile yet, build one today. DM us there, and we will be happy to guide you.
But let me give you a fair warning: we are not here to sell you a fantasy. We won't provide you with fancy, rosy pictures or repeat the marketing gimmicks you see on brochures. We will give you the cold ground realities and the true picture of what actually goes on behind the scenes.
On Reddit, anonymity breeds coercion. People will try to push you into joining without presenting half the facts. Be smarter than the room. You’re training to be managers and a manager looks at data, talks to real people, and operates in the real world.
Come to the right place. Talk to real professionals. Let’s see what you’re made of.
