Has anyone had any luck getting into a new dr quick for a breast lump?

Awkward question, and I’ll be deleting this soon 😅 but i didn’t do a good job at establishing care with a pcp or gyn when I moved here a couple weeks ago, and I just found a breast lump. I’m sure it’s nothing, but I would like to get it checked out just in case, but everyone is booked out until at least October. Has anyone been in the same situation, and was able to get seen quicker?

Thanks guys!

Black tie -

I am fortunate to have been invited to >4 black tie events this fall. I cannot wear the same thing to all. I looked at Armoire, but it seemed spendy

I have ordered Nordstrom rack

Tried Ballard goodwill, Eres, Refind, etc

What are good options - for larger sizes? My younger self is laughing at me.

Chicago to Seattle (maybe?)

Hi all! Long story short, went through a breakup, moved out from our place in Chicago to my parents home in the suburbs where I was raised. First time ever I am working 100% remotely and am not tied down to Chicago by a lease or partner.

While I initially wanted/intended to find a place of my own in Chicago, I realized this is an opportunity to try out some new cities I’ve always wanted to visit and maybe live. Seattle is one of those places!

I’m still ironing out details but I’m hoping to stay for a couple months to get a sense of the area and lifestyle. I love city life, being car-less, and always being able to walk and find something to do. I’ve never visited the PNW but when I travel I prioritize hiking and the outdoors since I don’t get that in Chicago. PNW has always been on my list but never had a chance to make it out there.

A bit more about me/my lifestyle:
- Early 30s, will get back into dating eventually
- Big on walking/transit and not needing a car (at least right now, I have no interest in adding a car payment to my bills)
- Prefer cooler climates typically
- A bit of a fashionista, I like my designer items and dressing up when I can
- I don’t know anyone in the PNW and am moving alone (unless I bring my kitty!)
- I’m pretty social, like craft beers, enjoy gin cocktails, and am big on wine! In Chicago I’m a foodie and friends always come to me for restaurant or bar recs.
- I’m active, workout, and like to play pickleball
- I’ll be doing a short stint in DC as well since I really loved the city and all the things to do (minus the current administration…)

I was hoping to hear from any ladies who made a big move like this or what your thoughts are on the shift from another major city to Seattle?

Dance/cardio classes?

I'd like to try some different dance or cardio fitness classes with good music. So, not a technical ballet/hip hop/class, but something open to beginners. I already go to poprox (which is great), but would like to try something else. Also, not pilates (i want something on my feet!), but also not bollywood or kpop.

Tattooed hotties!

Looking to get my shoulders done, American traditional peonies or roses or blackberry brambles. Finding an American traditional artist is not the challenge, but a reputable, dope lady artist is the niche I’m looking for.

If you have any recommendations for female tattoo artists that do American traditional or botanical work please share!

Looking for a good dry-cleaning place for silk?

Hey all,

Looking for a good dry-cleaning spot to get my vintage silk skirt cleaned! It's got a few oil stains that I don't trust myself to remove at home. I'm in Cap Hill but I'm okay with anywhere, so long as it's doable by bus. Thanks! xx

Babymoon ideas in the PNW

Hi! I’m entering my third trimester and traveling back to Seattle to see my family before giving birth. Since I don’t want to tack on more travel, I’m hoping to spend 3 or so nights somewhere in the PNW vicinity for a relaxing babymoon with my husband. Open to OR and Vancouver area destinations as well. Anyone have any interesting hotels / Airbnbs/ spas / general ideas that would be special for this kind of occasion? TYIA!!

Beauty recs - brows, hair, nails, face etc!

Hi ladies! I just moved to North Seattle on Wednesday and I’m so excited to start putting down some roots and find quality providers.

My first stop is brow threading - I just moved from an area where there were zero threaders for hours (the locals thought it was illegal to do (??? 🤣)) and would love a good tip. I’m doing a sublet to start here but open to finding quality providers in north Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond and then downtown.

I’ll also eventually want to find a good hairstylist for brunettes, mid range on cost, I just started doing a root touch up and solid cut 1-2x a year. I’d consider “mid range” to be $80-120 for the haircut itself.

Would also love facial balancing recommendations and medical/cosmetic tox injectors, preferably an RN/NP with a love for aesthetics. 🤍🤍 And microneedling! I found a few that seem great but a lot are booking far out so any tips are still recommended.

Korean lash lifts?! Never done one but it’s on my wish list!

And finally nails!! Gel tips and pedicures. I don’t get my nails done as often anymore but I’d like to know where to go when I do.

This one is a long shot but…. Anyone have tips of a good orthopedic and plastic surgeons?

  1. like THE BEST ortho hand surgeon in the area, one that can handle crushing injuries
  2. a board certified reconstructive plastic surgeon for a non healing hematoma on my hip thats been super unsightly.
  3. Now that I’m closer to quality medical care I’d love to know where to look. Function is most important but aesthetic matters too. It sucks that Avery at Grey/Sloan is no longer taking patients … 🥲🤭😉

Gosh that sounds like a lot now lol but thank you ladies!

good esthetician for skincare routine advice/help???

i'm looking for a good esthetician that can help me figure out the right routine for my skin and what my skin actually needs. i feel like i've wasted so much money on products that end up not even working so i'd rather get advice from an actual professional. i know that there a lot of estheticians but i feel like a lot of them are more services like face masks and peels. or is this more of a dermatologist thing? thanks!
