Hey Sones! About a month or so ago, I posted on here asking everyone what sound they would want from SNSD for their 20th Anniversary comeback. Well, I’ve been thinking more and more about what kind of sound I would like and wanted your opinions.

Part of me loves the idea of a “classic Soshi” sound: big melodic chorus, bright energy, strong harmonies, clean choreography, and that unmistakable Girls’ Generation feeling. But another part of me feels like a milestone comeback like this one should show growth and evolution, not just revisit what they’ve already done.

I’ve been imagining a true Y2K/retro-future pop concept: late ’90s/early-2000s pop influences, sleek futuristic production, strong group harmonies, empowering, encouraging, and emotional lyrics, and visuals that feel nostalgic but still modern. Not “I Got A Boy 2.0” or “Genie 2.0,” but something that keeps the SNSD DNA while pushing it forward. I think one or two songs that’s more reminiscent of classic Soshi, or the pop maximalist sound of the 2010s, could still fit on the album. It would just, of course, have to be in the sound sphere of the rest of the album.

I personally would want this to be their best album. Really come back strong!! An album where every track is strong and worthy to be a single. A timeless album.

I recently went on X and saw someone retweet a post about the Taeyeon-Hyungdon couple and I know general consensus weren’t super positive about the pairing and I’m not gonna sit here and claim they were the best couple on the show or whatever, but the sheer vitriol people have against Hyungdon and the vile things they say about him on there were disgusting to read tbh. Saying how ugly and fat he is so casually like he’s not a human being.

I know people like to quote Taeyeon about how jealous she was of Seohyun who got paired with Yonghwa lol but I don’t think that should give people license to slander the poor man either. Idk if this was a big enough issue to warrant this post but interested to hear what others think about it and if they’ve seen these comments for themselves and what they thought about them
