H3s do not enter mono audio mode when using only one

Fairly self-explanatory given the post title. I primarily use my earbuds while I'm at work and cannot, although I sure wish I could, completely isolate myself from the rest of the world. Thus, during the majority of my usage I will have one earbud in the case and one in my ear. So far I like my H3s well enough, with one fairly big caveat: in single-earbud mode, they still output stereo audio. This is fine for taking calls and listening to most podcasts, not so much for music mixed after, say, the mid-sixties.

My previous pair, the Air 3 Deluxe HS, had this functionality, so newer and more expensive ones forgetting to implement it is a pretty big step back. Yes, I can enter accessibility options and switch to mono, but having to do that all of the time is worse than not having to do that.

I imagine that's something that could fairly easily get patched into future firmware or perhaps the software, so I figured I'd point it out. Ultimately not the worst thing in the world, but certainly a bit cumbersome.

Lowkey impressed by the anc on c30

been using c30 during commute for a bit and honestly didn’t expect the anc to make this much difference for under $40. doesn’t fully block everything obviously, but it cuts down train and traffic noise enough that i’m not cranking volume the whole time. transparency mode was a nice surprise too cause it doesn’t have that super fake processed sound a lot of cheaper buds have. voices still come through naturally so i stopped taking one earbud out at stores and stations. feels like they focused more on making the features actually usable instead of just stacking specs.

H3 tri driver setup finally clicked for me

Been using H3 for a bit now, the tri driver thing is probably what made me pay attention to it more than I expected. Some TWS in this range kinda push the upper end too much trying to sound detailed, but after like 20-30 mins it just gets a bit tiring. H3 does not really do that for me, I can keep it on longer without thinking about taking it out. Vocals stay pretty clear and bass feels like it is actually there instead of being drowned out. In the $150 range, it feels a bit more clean and easy to listen to compared to earbuds I've used around the same price.
