How the fuck do you achieve this?!

Brothers, I have genuine question. I stumbled over those pics and tried to search any guides for painting like this. But all of them are somehow just something else, look different. They aren’t so smooth and consistent and look like usual metallic paints as leadbelcher, runefang and retributor. So if you know how to paint like this, have any guides, please share I beg youuuuu, for Vulkan’s sake

My friend gifted me Captain Fisto here... can I use him as a sally?

Just picked up Armageddon myself and had planned on going Salamanders.

Ballistus Dreadnought

Thanks everyone for the help on my last post. I had to walk away from the model for a week and come back lol.

I incorporated a few of the different suggestions: got him based, glazed over some parts with Caliban green and parts of the shoulders with Abaddon black, and made some sharper brighter yellow highlights over the moot green. I'm really happy with how he ended up.

Salamander Sergeant/Custom Leader

Painted up a salamander sergeant for fun/a future salamanders army! This guy was quite tedious to paint due to the multiple different printed bits but overall he turned out nice! Technically is my 3rd salamander but the other two have since been changed into IH. The tryanid he's stepping on is from hive fleet behemoth.

What suggestions would you guys have for kitbashing in a Dragon Warriors army? (Chaos salamanders)

Im currently working on a dragonwarriors army to go against the salamanders, however thanks to their sparcity of lore i have to come up with a few ways to make them stand out from other chaos marines.

So im here to ask their greatest foes, the salamander community on some ideas for making them dragon warriors rather than scaled wordbearers.

I already have a few ideas ive implemented into my own marines which ill leave below, but if anyone has any other ideas i feel free to put them down here in case anyone may want a few ideas in the future

Into the fires of battle with our standard held high!!

My first chapter ancient!!
I wanted to something a little unique for my salamanders ancient so I figured I’d try my hand at converting a Black Templar crusade into a salamander.

Vulkan He'stan

Got to a good point with the paint where I'd call him done and ready for table top use. I can always go in and change/add to things, but I'm pretty happy with how the model turned out. Are there spots I could touch up? Yes. Do they bug me enough to do it right now? No.

Vulkan Lives!

Tu'shan Proxy

Finished my Tu'shan mini. It is built from the Bastian Carthalos mini, with a spare Eradicator power pack, brazier from the Salamanders Upgrade sprue and an Anvil Wardens Helm. I tried using green stuff for the first time to make dragon scales but it looks more diseased than anything! I like how his armour looks more ornate and decorative, and how he towers over other space marines. Let me know what you think!
