4th of July Fireworks

Im confused about the "John Olguin Fireworks Extravaganza" fireworks show at Cabrillo Beach. It says tickets are $130 for this event, but also fireworks viewing is free? Does that mean access to the beach is open to the public? Can these fireworks be seen from Point Fermin park? Sorry, I've never been to Cabrillo Beach, but San Pedro is the perfect meeting point for my family and friends.

Vibe Check

I currently live on the westside and they are pricing me out of my current place. Happened to find a posting for a spot in San Pedro off of Gaffey near the Vons. I’m a single guy who WFH and was hooked by the vibe of the town. The area seems a little run down but I see a lot of potential. Planning on going to the fireworks show this weekend and explore the town. Any recommendations on moving there are appreciated.
