Hi everyone!
We're a family of 8 adults and 1 child and will be staying in Villasimius from 6th–10th July. We'd really appreciate any itinerary suggestions and tips for navigating the busy July season.
We're staying in the town centre and have rental cars, so getting around won't be an issue.
Our tentative plan is:
6th July: Porto Giunco
7th July: Still deciding (open to suggestions!)
8th July: We were considering Punta Molentis, but we've read that parking reservations can be difficult to secure, especially this close to our trip.
9th July: Either Simius Beach or Campus Beach before heading back to Cagliari the following day.

Does this sound like a good plan, or would you recommend a different order?
We're looking for family-friendly beaches with shallow, calm water for our little one. We'd also love any tips on:
The best time to arrive to avoid crowds.

Parking hacks or advice, especially for Porto Giunco and Punta Molentis.

Whether it's usually possible to rent sunbeds and umbrellas without booking in advance, or if we should reserve them beforehand.

Any other beautiful beaches in the area that you'd recommend.

M 21 sono in Sardegna con la mia famiglia in camper a cea c'è qualche posto figo da visitare? Purtroppo non ho la macchina e si accettano consigli se ci sono navette o qualcosa raggiungibile a piedi.

Ciao a tutti. A breve partirò per una vacanza di una settimana in Sardegna con amici, abbiamo una macchina e vogliamo visitare varie località di mare e non. C'è qualcosa di specifico che dovrei mettere in valigia? Scarpe da scoglio? La sera rinfresca un po' o c'è la stessa afa maledetta che c'è in tutta la penisola? Consigli per sopravvivere alla traghettata notturna?

Io e la mia famiglia veniamo dalla Danimarca e visiteremo la Sardegna nelle settimane 29 e 30 (dal 13 al 24 luglio).
Mio fratello e io condividiamo la passione per l’abbigliamento e gli accessori vintage, e ci piace visitare mercatini dell’usato, negozi di seconda mano e negozi vintage.
Per questo motivo, volevo chiedere se qualcuno avesse qualche consiglio da darci.
Avremo un’auto, quindi siamo disposti a guidare anche un po’ se ne vale la pena. ❤️❤️
Ci piacerebbe anche visitare un mercato contadino o un mercato locale dove poter assaggiare prodotti tipici e specialità sarde.

Ciao a tutti, passerò 4 giorni a metà luglio in questa bellissima isola. Avremo la macchina. Mi dite cose imprescindibili da fare /vedere? Spiagge migliori? E qualche posto dove mangiare senza farmi spennare. Grazie a tutti :)

Verrò in vacanza a Cagliari con alcuni amici e vorremmo sfruttare al massimo i giorni per questo cerco consigli utili su:

• Spiagge e calette nascoste raggiungibili solo a piedi
• Ristoranti dove mangiare bene
• Pescherie affidabili per prendere crudi
• Locali per aperitivo o serata

Avremo la macchina, quindi vanno benissimo anche posti fuori Cagliari.

Qualsiasi dritta è super apprezzata: posti preferiti, chicche locali, cose da evitare, orari migliori.

Nell'ottica di una vacanza in Sardegna con BnB a Arbatax e SENZA macchina (Senza affittare), quali sono le possibili escursioni/posti da visitare raggiungibili che consigliate? E in che modo raggiungerli?

In particolare, nel nord ci sono le famose "calette"; quasi tutti raccomandano di andare in macchina per raggiungere i sentieri, ma esistono modi per raggiungerli anche senza macchina? Alternativamente, tour in barca o in gommone è un alternativa valida?

Quali sono altre mete raggiungibili senza macchina che vale la pena visitare?

I have read on here some recommendations already but I'm hoping for a bit more advice.

My family and I are landing in Sardinia around December 29th. We will stay for one week all together with my parents and then one week separate (2 weeks total). But these questions are just related to the first week as I'm helping my parents plan the best winter holiday that they can have.

I was originally thinking the East Coast specifically the Gulf of Orosei and places such as Santa Maria Navarrese, Baunei, Tortoli, Barisardo, Lotzorai. But now I'm thinking that the West Coast has a bit more going on potentially in January... I don't know the West Coast very well so looking for an opinion here too!

Another question is whether Cagliari is worth it? I've watched a few videos and it looks nice but at the same time I've been recommended NOT to go there.

Key things to keep in mind:
- we like history, nature, potentially renting bikes, potentially skiing, potentially kayaking (all if the weather permits), eating local food, drinking at local spots, we don't like touristy places, natural hotsprings, markets, old architecture, and we like a good view of either water or mountains.
- we will have a rental car but don't want to do much driving if possible.
- ideally places that aren't super expensive to stay in!

Hey everyone! I'm heading to Sardegna and can't wait. Would love some local wisdom before I go.

A bit of context: There will be a couple of us, we're a French/italian mix but have never been to Sardinia!, into good food (love fresh seafood, local pasta, anything authentic over touristy), and we're not afraid to go off the beaten path for a stunning beach. We will stay a mix between the east coast and the southwest part with family. What I'm looking for:

Restaurants: hidden gems, family-run trattorias, anything serving incredible fregola, bottarga, or fresh catch. We'd love spots that feel local rather than tourist-trap.

Beaches: both easy-access spots and more secluded ones worth the effort. We're open to renting a car or hiking a bit if the payoff is worth it.

Any tips on what not to miss (or what to skip) would also be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!
