Disclosure: I’m not the artist. I’m the project lead running the crowdfunding campaign. The deck is made in agreement with the publisher Glénat.

Olivier Ledroit is one of the first French artists to have brought gothic comics to the mainstream. His work on Requiem Vampire Knight (written by Pat Mills) is almost entirely black and red. This 78-card divinatory tarot is built on that universe.

The cards keep their classic names and structure, so the deck stays readable for any tarot practitioner. What changes is the lens. Take The World (XXI): in the comics, the world itself is called Résurrection, so the card of completion and wholeness is also read as a card of rebirth, of what comes back from the dead.

• 78 cards, 8.5 × 16 cm (bigger than a standard tarot)
• Rigid, book-shaped box with magnetic closure
• 70-page booklet
• One-time edition: it will not be reprinted or sold outside the crowdfunding campaign
• Part of the funds goes to an association

The campaign runs until November 5. Happy to answer any questions here.
