Just ordered the new Harvester 220

Very limited media out on this but I’m taking a chance. This is my first proper slug gun. My brother in law has used the hell out of his 220 and swears by it so I figure I can’t go wrong with the updated version.

Looking for scope recommendations that will handle slugs as well!

Thanks for looking!

Savage Model 69rxl series E

Who has links to forehands and normal grips. These customs are kinda extreme for my intended use.

First range trip

First range trip with my new to me savage axis ii precision. Was a lot of fun to shoot but made me very aware of how rusty I am with a bolt gun shooting from the prone. None of the stuff I’m using with it now is the permanent solution. I have a whole host of parts coming for it now and I can’t wait to really get it set up and dialed in.

MDT TIMBR CORE RIFLE STOCK bushing (Savage SA)

I recently picked up one of these TIMBR CORE stocks for my favorite hunting rifle (an 11 FCNS in .308), and maybe I’m just inexperienced in rifle assembly, but MDT makes ZERO mention of this little bushing in the instructions that were included with the stock and bottom metal.

So here’s where it goes: There’s a little recess in the underside of the chassis where the rear action screw is located, and the bushing fills the gap between the chassis and the bottom metal.

Tagging u/Rough_Arm7222 as it appears he recently started a subreddit for MDT over at r/MDTTAC
