Okay so I love Wanda and I got her lord in season 1 but I haven’t played her since because her gameplay is just so lacklustre and I play a lot of ranked which she’s not viable in.

But I wondered, what if they actually added some of her reality bending powers to her default kit. Like she should have some sort of silencing ability. This would already add give her utility that no other character has in the game. I mean yes Thing has the earthbound, but her silencing ability would literally shutdown every single ability.

I think they could easily implement this in her kit.

What do you guys think?

Not a SW main, but my friend is, I’ve watched countless hours of SW gameplay.

People cite her auto aim as the reason for her being low skill and I just think it’s such a lazy take…

Yeah she has auto aim… 2 inches from her face. You have to put yourself at such high risk to do any damage with her “skilless auto aim” and even then, it’s a really weak primary fire. So you can tickle people 2 inches from their face… but hey, you don’t have to aim!! So that means no skill gg

You finish kills with her cynthonian bursts, which… require aim and resource management..

Not to mention, cloak and dagger literally have 2 different auto aims that are both arguably better. CnD is called skilless, sure, but no one ever cites HER auto aim as the reason why.

Namor. Auto aiming turrets that he doesn’t even have to do anything aside from set and forget. And they reach across the map. Skilless. Starlord’s Ult is a KO machine and has auto aim..

Even someone like Thing. His haymaker you technically do have to aim, but at close quarters, the hitbox is so large it kind of covers the whole screen. I wouldn’t exactly call that skillful aim - as a huge Thing main… I assure you this move is entirely more skilless in terms of thought vs value received..

She is a terrible character. In order to get value out of her, you have to outplay your opponent on almost every front. Positioning, resource management, etc… or in other words, you have to be more skilled with the character to get value out of her than someone who plays a better character…

Why has Wanda been getting so many nothing-burger buffs that address none of her core issues? Her neutral is weak, her ultimate is the most situational in-game and easily countered by a majority of the roster, and she has never ever had a meta. She is a launch character who has been arguably the worst DPS since release.

She is clearly selling skins as she has 5 legendaries and 4 recolors so what is with the utter neglect in the balance changes? Would it not be in Netease's favor to make her good to pump up even more demand for her skins? And I reject the argument that she cannot be good because she is easy to pick up when characters like Cloak and Thing have been running the game for ages.

If by some twisted turn of fate that is truly the reason the devs chose to keep both of her arms tied behind her back for 2 years... WHY THE SCARLET WITCH?? Why is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel history the sacrifical lamb of Marvel Rivals? How could they possibly think to reduce the Scarlet Witch to a vacuum cleaner? It doesn't even track with the voicelines in-game, everytime all the other characters constantly comment on Wanda's immense power I have to look around and ask, "Where is it?".

Where is the alleged power fantasy that this game has promised to prioritize above all else? Why has this character been dead for 10 seasons for the sake of balance? This is NOT the Scarlet Witch, and they have definitively failed in bringing her to life in Marvel Rivals. The people who play her and the character herself deserve so much more than this. Know that at any given point the devs could waive their hand and give Wanda her meta, and that they are certainly capable of doing so if they wished but they simply wont. And to that extent they have done this game and this chatacter a disservice.

Personally, I think they should. The team-up brought something that Wanda should already be doing, and it definitely feels in character for her.

If they do put it in her base-kit, they should then move her self-healing (while in fade) to being Jubilee's base team-up and add a new enhanced team-up for her. The new enhanced team-up could maybe grant Wanda a slight damage boost to her bursts Or allow her to recharge her bursts faster when using her primary, or maybe give her a new ability?

My son is 9 years old, and he's been a Spider-Man main for months now, but he just recently started playing Scarlet Witch just like his dad. I'm so proud! He also just started editing and posting his own clips. I think he's got a knack for it.

Similarly to the visuals for the pairup hood gets from her, the runes fading in and out looks so cool but Wanda doesn’t even get her own runes showing up in regular gameplay

I’m not a SW veteran or anything. I’ve been playing the game since Season 7.5 and I have a couple of lords but none in duelist.

So I’ve picked up a few duelists that are fun for me to learn and play especially in QP while I’m learning and SW is one. And well… to get to the point it really seems like her ult is just an invitation to die lol.

Does anyone just… never use it? I had a match recently where I was just holding ult FOREVER. I find unless I can solo ult someone who is alone on point— there’s no real value to it. Because then at least they may run off point and (depending who it is) don’t have the burst damage or control effects to stop me.

Seems actually crazy though that there’s an ult that I’d rather just sit on and NOT use because it’s such a liability. I can’t think of another hero in the game who has even close to that kind of handicap.

Is there anything you do to make it work? Or scenarios that are good? I use cover to hide as long as I can until I fly out at the enemy team, seems like the best option (aside from portal).
