I think it’s kinda funny how this movie and its sequel are pretty well liked despite having some of the polarizing actors in our time.

I actually do like this movie and its sequel but I do find it funny how if this movie had come out like maybe 4-3 years ago, many people would probably hate it.

The new Minions movie introduces the first Minion with a disability. Ed is deaf and uses Minion sign language to communicate with them and they don't mock him or anything.

So i watched Jungle book 2 and it was absolutely terrible

Why was this movie so bad?!?!The first movie was mediocre at best.Sure the animation and songs were good and characters like Shere Khan and Baloo were fun but other than that the movie had no story and other characters were just annoying, but this trash is somehow way worse that the original to the point were i need to apologise to the original movie, but what are the good stuff in the movie?
Good things:
1.The animation is fine, not perfect but still nice i guess.Especilly the scenes with Shere Khan.
2.Shere Khan is the ONLY good character in the movie. He actually got character development but more in a evil way.Becoming way more of a brute and blood thirsty sure he is not as funny but still he is Awesome.
Bad things:
1.The story is just wasted potential, instead of i dont know having a interesting story of Mowgli having to adapt to the man village and new creatures around him.We just have a movie where Mowgli goes to the jungle but then for some reason he wants to go back to the village, while Shere Khan is chasing him….WHAT?!?!Why are we doing the same story from the first movie, all the events are just the first movie, why are we going in circels, what is the point of this movie. We dont even have Mowgli being akward or working for the village,he just goes to the same adventure that he already did!!!
2.Characters:Mowgli is just bad here, sure he was a piece of shit in the first movie but you probably think that he would grow and learn but no,he is just a selfish brat who complains about the man village having “to many rules or its just work” when we are never shown in this movie that he works anything, and my reaction is “Mf what work are you talking about”he also gets mad at Shanti for stoping from going to jungle, which is something that he already knows. Then he feels bad for escaping the jungle and he is just so selfish. Also i like how he blaims Baloo for scaring the girl, when he is the one who told him that. Also he just dosent grow or change.Although i did laugh when he finally got consequences.
Shanti:Has no character and no real goals.Sure at first her phobia sound interesting but the movie never develops that. The movie tries to have this couple between Mowgli and Shanti but the movie just hints at that idea, honestly i hope that Shanti never EVER dates with that hypocrite, who just blames her and bullies her.So yeah i guess that she is a girl character and girls cant have personality do they 😡(i am being sarcastic)
Ranjan:He is just annoying and doesn’t do anything so he is kind of there i guess
Bagheera:He isnt a character he is barely in the movie.I do want to mention how when Mowgli says goodbye to him its just a normal goodbye but when he says goodbye to Baloo,he is crying his eyes out. What a complete “screw you” attitude, sure Bagheera was stupid in the original(leaving Mowgli alone multiple times)but still you knew him for years and Baloo for just a few days.
Vultures:Them knowing that Mowgli is going back to the village is a plot contrivance, sure they could know that Mowgli isnt in the man village but how do they know on what specific location he is?Isnt the whole point of stealing Mowgli is to hide him?We dont even have a scene of them seeing him.Its just a stupid way to help Shere Khan get to Mowgli, also Lucky not dying is just lame.
Baloo:He is just awful here, first of all the fact that Mowgli has to remind him to road is ridiculous, also his character is assassinated.Him learning to leave Mowgli behind in the village in the first movie was forced and badly rushed but at least he LEARNED!In this movie he just goes back to being selfish and learns the same message. Why?!?!?And there are weird stuff with him.Saying to Bagheera”We beat that tiger once we can do it again”Yeah, yeah its not like Shere Khan almost mauled you to death and that you needed help from vultures and the fact that you needed that tiger’s biggest fear just to chase him off. Also him just telling to other animals about the man village is just rude, when did Mowgli ever tell YOU to talk about that subject it makes him selfish. But other than that he is just the same character but worse.
Kaa:He is just a punching bag and nothing else, also why did he lie about Mowgli and where he is?Why not tell him the truth. He wanted to eat him in the first movie so thats why he lied but here he cant eat anything(because he does not have anything)
Elephants:The leader is a dumb in this one and so are the other elephants.Small elephant is a plot device to show Baloo where to go
3.Stupid stuff in the movie
I:The whole vulture’s somehow knowing where Mowgli is even if they didnt see him on screen
II:How did the monkeys build the temple?Sure its implied that they had help, but they are animals it would take them years for them to do this and Mowgli looks slightly older(keyword “slightly”)So what is stoping animals for making buildings and inventions and weapons they are basically OP humans, why are they aftaid
III:Where is King Louie?Did he die,was he banished? Its never explained
IV:Why were the village front doors open? The movie centres around the idea that the village is a dangerous place but they dont close doors. If they dont close them, why do they keep OPEN HOUSE DOORS?!?!?No wonder that Mowgli’s stepdad has a injury, they basically want their village destroyed by other animals. What was the point of bringing Mowgli into the man village if animals can easily go in the small civilisation?
V:Why are there no guards at the village?Like this is india there should be someone looking out for these beasts if they keep the door open.
VI:The ending is horrible.Instead of Baloo learning his lesson he just comes up with a new plan where Mowgli,Shanta and Ranjan just hang out with them by pretending to carry the water to the village? Why!?!?This is a horrible plan, what if someone sees them or what if their families find out that they aren’t bringing the water? Then they would be screwed also Bagheera is assassinated here as a character.
Wow this one was bad like really bad.Maybe not boring but definitely broken.I am really sorry for writing so long,i really am but i just wanted to present this review because its fun.So have a good day or night show this to your friends and family(optional) and ask them on how they feel and i wish you a birthday for those who have it 🎁.

The reaction to Hexed is already rubbing me the wrong way

I want to preface this by saying I do not think this looks like a great film and I’m not super excited for it. The visuals look pretty cool, but the story looks like a very generic misfit teenager becomes the chosen one plot. The kind of plot that dominated Wattpad in the early 2010s. With that said, I think some of the criticisms of the movie are baseless and some of the common talking points about both the movie and Disney as a whole are kind of irritating me.

  1. HEXED RIPPED OFF THE OWL HOUSE: No, it didn’t. Owl House didn’t invent portal fantasy. A story is not a rip-off of another story because they use the same common trope. I’ve even seen some people in the comment section of the Hexed trailer try to spin this narrative that Disney made a crappy rip-off of Dana Terrace’s show after they treated her so badly and threw her out. That idea is absolutely laughable. Disney TV animation and Disney theatrical animation are very much different entities, it’s more than likely just a coincidence.
  2. SAME FACE SYNDROME: I’ve been seeing a lot of those comparison pictures of all of the CGI Disney characters next to each other to show they all have the same face/facial expressions in marketing. I do kind of see it. The main female characters all have very large eyes, small noses and mouths, and round faces. But I think saying they all look exactly the same is a stretch. Whenever I see one of those comparison images, I legitimately can’t see it. I saw a thumbnail of the Hexed girl next to Rapunzel, Anna, and the Wish girl. She has significantly thicker eyebrows than all of them and a slightly different eye shape. What are we doing?
  3. ADORKABLE MAIN CHARACTER: Something else I’ve seen people say in those same face syndrome posts is all of Disney’s female characters these days are written the exact same way because they’re all cheerful/quirky/silly/whatever. I really think it’s a stretch to say Anna and Moana are basically the exact same character just because they’re both generally cheerful and Moana has a handful of moments where she’s a little clumsy or dumb. Also, notice how when a female character is silly and dorky everyone and their dog starts writing think pieces about how it’s bad, lazy writing, but I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about Miles Morales. I get the observation, but a lot of people pointing this out ignore the fact that these characters have other traits, backstories, and motivations that give them more depth and set them apart from each other.

I don’t like playing defense for Disney and I don’t want to play defense for what will likely be a very mediocre movie. But this is an issue that’s been bugging me for some time. I think some people are just way too eager to criticize Disney for anything even when the criticism doesn’t stand up to scrutiny. Disney is lazy and all of their movies and characters are the exact same. I’m going to go write some fanfiction about Disney being cartoonishly evil to the creator of a show I like. Animation fans can be exhausting sometimes.

You’re telling me the one time Illumination actually got off their ass and made a movie with effort and substance have a slow box office run while fucking Mario Galaxy makes a billion?

What other villain rankings do you think Schaff could do?

I think it would be cool if he did the mcu (though I don’t know how interested he would be in that)

Favourite and Least Favourite Schaffrillas Ranking Videos?

Favourites are probably the Sandler and Last Place rankings, he does gigantic rankings very well, least favourite are probably the Nolan and Cameron rankings, both of them have pretty short filmographies compared to other directors, and they've both been done to death, I agree with the lower ranked movies on both, but from there they both just turn into the most boring rankings imaginable, so they just weren't really that interesting to me.

Give me a movie, and I'll make a marketing craze for it

In this thread, I will play a marketing executive from the 2000s, a time where movies could be plastered on anything and everything to market them.

Give me a movie (real or fake), and I'll work on special marketing deals including:

  • Fast Food (Kids' Meal or Regular)

  • Snacks

  • Action Figures

  • Other stuff

You can even specify the brand!
