Are the Gen 2 Toasters as spacious on the inside as the Gen 1?

So my 2012 XB uses a TON of oil every week. I gotta use a quart every week and half or so. I was interested in doing the berryman soak but several shops told me that its useless because if im burning that much oil, the rings are done and nothing will help and its a waste of money and the rings need to be replaced or engine needs to be changed. Is there any truth to this?
I was also told switching from 5w20 to 5w30 will help the problem a little or maybe even a lot, so is that true or even recommended?
I have been using Valvoline restore and protect for 3 or so oil changes now and topping off with it a quart every 1.5 weeks for months and there has been absolutely NO change in the oil consumption. which is alarming because ive heard so many good things about that product and it helped solve or greatly reduce peoples oil consumption issues. but for me it did or has done nothing. this makes me believe my rings are toast or something is going on that is beyond fixable with additives like oil or a soak...
anyone have any advice or insight pls share
Check out this time capsule for sale! Only 7k original miles. It's not customized to my taste, but it is very 2004. I don't think it's worth anywhere near the asking price, but it's pretty cool though. What would you pay for it? https://www.facebook.com/share/1RdD6DjoaM/
They want 8k Canadian

06 XB my grandmother bought brand new. It was a family car, everyone in my family has memories in this car. I purchased it in 2020 & unfortunately due to west Texas roads not having storm drains, I flooded and blew the engine. That was in 2022, it sat for years with the hopes of some day driving it again. I sourced an engine and installed it. My baby's alive again! I've put 2,000-2,500 on the new engine and I haven't been happier.
I got the car off of a family friend a few months back for $2200 and I love it. “The cube” as I’ve called her came with the mileage posted, a car play screen, and a reverse cam. Since then I’ve added about 4k miles to her.
A quick tour of my beloved includes:
- a repurposed ash tray turned sauce drawer
- center dash cabinet turned snack cabinet
- AliExpress/Tiktok shop slop
- things I’ve (legally) looted off of other cars such as a Pokémon card, religious memorabilia, and other trinkets
- bedazzled steering wheel cover from my last car
Only real change I’ve done to the car is replacing the halogen bulbs for brighter ones but other than that I don’t know what else I should do to her or call her besides “the cube”.
I don’t wanna make her flashy, nor can I sit here and say I’m the a professional car thing doer, but I yearn to learn

Hello! I’m about to purchase a 2006 scion xB, guy has said the A/C blows but not cold, and the front right pops, but he want’s 1250$ for it, what do I need to expect to fix on it? I’m very mechanically gifted I guess you could say but wondering what the community can tell me about this car, thanks!
Bought for $4,800 with 148,376 miles. There are some things that need to be fixed but nothing major that'll impact its driving ability. Don't know nothing about cars but I wanna try to mod it. Suggestions as to where to start? (nothing grand)I'm for sure gonna tint the windows. So see through goodness gracious.
I’ve got an EZ pass in mine but that’s sorta boring. Can’t be a phone because there’s no charger over there. What’s in yours?
Doing the soak today. Cylinders 1,3 and 4 are bone dry after the blowout with the starter but cylinder 2 is holding onto this puddle in the back of the piston I can’t get my syringe to haha
Guessing it’s not getting blown out cause of where it is puddled the back. Got the piston to TDC and gonna try to let it evaporate out for now.
I'm not exactly mechanically inclined, but replacing the blower motor, resistor and cabin air filter seemed easy enough on my 2012 Scion xB and was. I replaced all of them with new Denso & Aisin parts. It worked fine the first two short drives that I took, and then it stopped working completely.
The wiring harnesses to blower motor and resistor look fine, and wiggling on them with fan turned on doesn't seem to allow it to work intermittently. Seems the next step is to check the relay and fuses. When I look at the fuse box, is it the top blue Denso relay that I should be checking?. I attached a pic with the diagram. Also, which fuses should I check?
Or any ideas of what else I can try?
Due to the small trunk space i am forced to do Sub UP and port Up. I really wanted to do sub up and port back but there is no room for the port to breathe/work properly cuz its so tight back there so im forced to do sub and port up. So for those who have done this, how did it sound?
Thinking about running a large diameter tire to gear up for highway driving.
We all know the xb2 needs a 5th gear but what about larger tires?
Has anybody tried this?
I’m upgrading to 17”x8” 38mm offset rims.
What would be a good tire size?
2010 Scion xB. Let’s say I’ve been driving for about 45 minutes on a hot summer day. I stop for gas, shut the car off for about 5 minutes, then start it back up. The radiator fan comes on immediately, which I understand is normal because of the heat soak.
What I’m noticing is that during the first few stops after I get back on the road, the idle RPM will occasionally dip down to around 475-500 RPM when I’m sitting in Drive with my foot on the brake. It never stalls, and after I drive another 10 minutes everything goes back to normal (for me) and idles around 600 RPM.
No check engine light, coolant temperature stays normal, and the car drives fine otherwise.
What would cause the low idle only after a hot restart? Heat soak affecting sensors, throttle body behavior, fuel trims, cooling fan load, or something else? *throttle body been cleaned within last 800 miles*
This was a picture I took last year at the Petersen of an AC Propulsions xB. Someone originally inquired about an EV powered xB and of course you can't post pictures in threads, so I decided to make its own thread. Anyone else own one of these?!
