I decided to change the RSN (Rangers sports network) by putting the score on the right, and the names on top of it. The original is on the left and the one I made is on the right. Which do y’all prefer?
Inspiration: ESPN
Font: Sequel 100 Black 85
Make a scoreboard and Post it in the comments and then On Saturday ill Make a March Madness style bracket of all the Score bugs that you guys make.
Rules.
- No AI Scorebugs
- No Recreations (you can be inspired by real scorebugs)
- Can be any sport including Motorsports
- One Entry Per User
Based on NBC and Amazon's scorebugs, the in-house scorebug used on various WNBA broadcasts this year, and the NBA's own general presentation and aesthetics. I kinda got lazy/forgot to add a space for series status, in part because it didn't come out the way I hoped (at minimum I might want to make it bigger). I might prefer a modified version of the concept I came up with for ESPN before the season started.
Decided to release a new scorebug that kept it short and simple while still having some cool affects to it. All feedback is welcome dropping other sports soon.
Just a damn shame that I have to watch about 162 games of Phillies Baseball, Flyers Hockey and Sixers Basketball with this joke of a scorebug. No logos, just abbreviations. Especially terrible when they make the background of it grey. Why can't they use what NBC uses for Sunday Night Baseball? (attached)
Just wondering, are there any known instances where some "innovation" in the score bugs actually started from a video game vs. originating from a broadcast?
Did I do too much with the logos? If I did it again I probably would incorporate them directly into each teams respective box matching the backround color. Also I think removing the bottom line with the records would work well.
used a idea i had in a previous scorebug i made for the nhl
I apologize if this has already been made but I've been seeing a lot of AI posts recently and they've just been getting on my nerves. I've seen some backlash from people online including myself and I just feel like it's time to stop. Other subreddits have gotten to this point, such as r/FantasyBookers , and maybe we could steal their idea and just have a side bar dedicated to AI or something? Just a thought.
I wanted to give it a more old timey theater vibe but also simplify it. Obviously drew from the new FOX scorebug a bit but added my own flare. The logo of the team who has possession will be in color while the team on defense with be greyed out. The ad placement would fizzle out, but I feel like a network like Netflix wouldn't have a whole game without some sort of ad placement for their top performing shows periodically.
I'm back again!
I wanted to get some opinions on a design like this of mine. I set a challenge to myself of making a bug that's a bit more unique and different than other competitors.
Let me know!
new to scorebugs AND wnba so pls disregard if you don’t like it lol. love how compact and clear it is, bonus points for the wnba logo fitting seamlessly (imo) in the middle as the divider
[REPOSTED b/c I was accused of using AI to make it]
