[over used trope] [horror villain's revenge on main character for "stealing" their parents]

This was already around in horror for decades with the Michael Myers Halloween situation, but it never went away

1 scream three in 2000 elevated it with Roman's revenge on Sydney for their mom choosing her over him. I had no problem with that because it was different enough from the Halloween movies and it was a whole new idea from scream 1/2 but I remember seeing it on TV in 2015 three different times and getting annoyed.

  1. PLL CeCe becomes A because her parents lock her away in an institute due to her dad falsely thinking she's a threat to Allison. She comes up with some bullshit that makes no sense about Allison's friends being glad she's gone, but it makes way sense she was jealous of Jason and Ali for The parental Love she never got.

  2. in the scream TV series the reporter was adopted as a baby, which is what led to her killing spree against her half sister who her parents lovingly raised.

  3. same EXACT thing with Leah Michelle's character in scream queens, she was given up for adoption by college age parents as a baby, ALSO went to a mental asylum, although raised to be a killer, then sought revenge on her parents dying for her parents dying 25 years ago. . Scream, scream, queens, and pretty little liars jn 2015 all have the same villain motivation? There's gotta be another reason for somebody to go on a killing and or revenge spree.

Cut scene?

I was watching the trailer for Scream Queens Season 1, and then I saw this scene. Chanel was throwing a piece of gum off the balcony. Did they cut this scene? I don’t remember Chanel #5 wearing this outfit.

Scream Queens Revival Rumors Grow

I’m not saying Season 3 is confirmed or that a revival is officially happening, but recently there have been several things that make me wonder if Scream Queens could be discussed again.

Ryan Murphy recently talked about the future of his projects and the possibility of bringing back older shows. He mentioned Glee and explained that for him everything starts with one question: “What’s the story?” He also said he is “thinking about a lot of things” and planning his next few years.

What caught my attention is that while discussing Ariana Grande leaving American Horror Story: 13, Ryan Murphy brought up Scream Queens himself:

>“She did Scream Queens for me and loved the experience, and people love her in that show.”

The question was about AHS, not Scream Queens, but he still chose to mention the series and how much fans love Ariana’s character.

Then there’s Emma Roberts. I commented on her Instagram post:

>“Chanel Oberlin will be back one day”

and she liked my comment. She didn’t like every comment, only this one. Obviously, this does NOT confirm anything, but it was interesting that she interacted with a comment specifically about Chanel returning.

There has also been a noticeable increase in Scream Queens visibility on Disney+/Hulu. The show has been appearing in multiple categories (horror, LGBTQ+, etc.) and on my Disney+ interface it appears in the “Most Searched” section, ranking around 8/30, right next to Ryan Murphy’s newer project The Shards (7/30).

The promotional side is also interesting. Disney+ has recently been giving Scream Queens more visibility than before, with stronger promotion through platform categories, placements, and social media presence. The show seems to be receiving more attention now than it did in previous years, keeping the franchise visible almost a decade after its original run ended.

For a series that ended in 2016, it’s interesting to see:

  • Ryan Murphy mentioning Scream Queens again;
  • Ariana Grande still being connected to the show;
  • Emma Roberts engaging with fans asking for Chanel’s return;
  • Disney+/Hulu continuing to give the series visibility;
  • the fandom still being very active almost 10 years later.

None of this confirms a Season 3, but it does show that Scream Queens still has a strong fanbase and cultural presence.

Could Chanel Oberlin really come back one day? 👀

AMERICAN HORROR STORY — SEASON 13 Episode 8 — “HELL NO” Fan-made / Hypothetical Episode

COLD OPEN — 1996
A young woman runs through the dark corridors of an abandoned mansion.
She hears a voice behind her.
VOICE
You can’t run from what’s inside you.
She turns around.
Nobody is there.
The lights suddenly flicker.
Then every light in the house goes out.
A door slowly opens by itself.
CUT TO BLACK.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY

ACT I — NEW ORLEANS
Madison Montgomery arrives in New Orleans.
Something immediately feels wrong.
Several witches have been experiencing the same strange phenomenon: they can feel the presence of someone who doesn’t belong in their reality.
Madison walks into the room.
MADISON
Great. Another supernatural crisis. Exactly what I needed.
One of the witches looks at her.
WITCH
We don’t know who she is. We only know that she appeared here.
MADISON
And where is she now?
WITCH
We don’t know.
A pause.
WITCH
But she’s scared.
Madison raises an eyebrow.
MADISON
That’s not exactly reassuring.

ACT II — CHANEL
A blonde woman walks through the streets of New Orleans.
She looks completely lost.
She checks her phone.
No signal.
She looks around at the unfamiliar buildings.
CHANEL
Okay. Either I’m dead, kidnapped, drugged, or this is officially the worst vacation I’ve ever had.
A strange man approaches her.
Chanel immediately notices him.
CHANEL
Don’t.
He keeps walking toward her.
CHANEL
I said don’t.
The man suddenly disappears.
Chanel freezes.
She looks around.
CHANEL
…Hell no.
TITLE CARD:
HELL NO

ACT III — MADISON MEETS CHANEL
Madison finds Chanel inside an old house.
They stare at each other.
Silence.
CHANEL
Why are you dressed like that?
Madison looks down at herself.
MADISON
Why are YOU dressed like that?
CHANEL
Excuse me?
Madison studies her carefully.
Something about Chanel feels strangely familiar.
MADISON
What’s your name?
Chanel looks offended.
CHANEL
Chanel Oberlin.
Madison freezes.
MADISON
Wait…
Chanel smiles.
CHANEL
Yeah. I get that reaction a lot.
Madison looks confused.
MADISON
No. I mean… I shouldn’t know you.
Chanel’s expression changes.
Suddenly, a mirror behind them cracks.
Both women turn around.
Madison realizes something.
Chanel hasn’t simply arrived in New Orleans.
Someone brought her here.

ACT IV — THE CONNECTION
The witches discover the truth.
Chanel comes from a parallel reality.
A reality where the supernatural rules are completely different.
But there’s a problem.
Chanel’s presence is destabilizing the barrier between the two universes.
The longer she stays, the weaker the boundary becomes.
Madison tells her she needs to leave.
Immediately.
MADISON
We need to send you back.
CHANEL
I’m not going anywhere with you, witch Barbie.
Madison stares at her.
MADISON
First of all, rude.
Chanel rolls her eyes.
MADISON
Second, I’m literally trying to save your life.
CHANEL
And third, I don’t trust people who dress exclusively in black.
Madison looks down at her clothes.
MADISON
That’s literally my entire personality.
Chanel pauses.
CHANEL
Okay. Fair.

ACT V — THE DOOR
The witches discover a hidden door beneath the house.
It isn’t a normal portal.
It doesn’t lead to Heaven.
It doesn’t lead to Hell.
It leads somewhere else.
Another reality.
Chanel slowly approaches it.
Madison warns her.
MADISON
Whatever you see on the other side, don’t touch anything.
Chanel opens the door.
She looks inside.
Her expression changes completely.
She recognizes the room.
CHANEL
No way…
MADISON
What?
Chanel steps closer.
CHANEL
That’s my world.
Madison looks through the doorway.
On the other side is a familiar room.
But something is wrong.
A screen suddenly turns on.
On it:
CHANEL OBERLIN — SUBJECT 01
Madison looks at Chanel.
MADISON
Someone has been looking for you.
Chanel’s face drops.

ACT VI — THE CHOICE
The portal begins to collapse.
Madison tells Chanel she has to go.
Now.
MADISON
Go.
Chanel doesn’t move.
For the first time, she looks genuinely afraid.
CHANEL
What if I don’t belong there anymore?
Madison looks at her.
MADISON
Then you figure out where you belong.
Chanel looks at her.
CHANEL
That was surprisingly inspirational.
Madison immediately looks annoyed.
MADISON
Don’t tell anyone.
Chanel smiles.
She steps through the portal.
The door closes behind her.
Madison stands alone in the room.
Then she hears a voice.
VOICE
You let her go.
Madison turns around.
CUT TO BLACK.

FINAL SCENE
Chanel opens her eyes.
She’s home.
She looks around.
Everything seems normal.
She slowly gets up.
Her phone is sitting on the table.
She picks it up.
47 MISSED CALLS.
Chanel frowns.
Then a notification appears.
WELCOME BACK, CHANEL.
She smiles.
CHANEL
Finally.
Another notification appears.
Her smile disappears.
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN NEW ORLEANS.
Chanel stares at the screen.
CUT TO BLACK.

END OF EPISODE
No announcement.
No explanation.
No confirmation of a new season.
Just one final credit after the episode:
EMMA ROBERTS
AS CHANEL OBERLIN
Then, after the credits:
TO BE CONTINUED…
