Lease takeover in UDistrict starting end of Aug26-27

I am looking for someone to take over my 2026-27 lease. Theory U-District is a modern apartment located just a few blocks from the UW campus. The unit includes a bright window-side bedroom, in-unit laundry, and a full kitchen. The apartment is fully furnished, offering a comfortable and convenient living space.

This is an all girl apartment with one other resident currently. Mostly college students living here. Looking for a lease takeover for as soon as possible. This is for the shared room circled in red. Lease includes Aug 29th 2026- Aug 31st 2027.

The unit is pet friendly, and has great outdoor spaces. The entrance is secured and package room is always secure as well. Close walk to the Ave where many great coffee shops and restaurants. Let me know if you have any questions!

Starting Over in Seattle: Apartment Hunt from Hell

I am starting my life over after domestic violence and have decided to move across the country to the place I’ve always dreamed of living.

I have half a dozen friends living in surrounding areas, enough money to pay a few months rent, and a steady job. But…

I was married for almost two decades and my ex husband got all the credit. Mine is very low, not even 500. I am struggling to find a place that will accept lower credit.

My rental history is also strange for the past year. I lived with my ex boyfriend for two years before he tried to delete me permanently. For the past six months, I’ve been in limbo on my son’s couch.

This is all bad on paper. I look like a risk. But I’ve raised two kids, had my own business since 2005, and have had steady work. I’m extremely chill and have never messed up a rental or had an eviction. I just need a place to call my own, and it only needs to be 300 square feet.

Roommates are not an option. I am in my 40s and very set in my habits, and the whole point of this is to be free, finally. I also will need to have a small area for my younger son to come stay a few months out of the year.

After hundreds of dollars in rental application fees, I am coming here seeking a rental. Please don’t tell me to apply at certain spots, I already have. I do not qualify for any programs for lowered rent, etc. Lower income places are denying me or not getting back to me. Scams are rampant.

I have a squeaky clean background and all of my debt is medical. I have one car loan, with mostly on time payments. I am getting rid of the car when I move, so that will be a non-issue.

I can provide many personal and professional references. I just cannot provide a perfect rental history or work history, as I have been mostly self employed or raising children. I have money for this move, and will take care of whatever place I end up.

TLDR: Need apartment for low credit, have one?
