Property manager ghosting me

My lease ends August 17th and my property manager never reached out to me regarding renewal or move out. I’ve been trying to reach her for the past few weeks through several calls and emails but have gotten no response.

I know usually in that case it just goes to month to month, but my lease says “this agreement will not revert to a month to month agreement after this contact ends”. Surely they can’t actually enforce that if they never gave me any offer of lease renewal or notice to vacate, right? Would it just go to month to month anyways?

If anyone knows more about this please let me know because I’m scared!

Why is the IRL trans community like this

I live in a very liberal city and I want to make more trans friends in real life, but it’s so hard because the trans community here is a joke. I just want to live my life as a man, and I’ve given up a lot to do so. But some trans people almost seem to want to stand out and be othered if that makes sense. Some things I’ve noticed people doing are:

-trying to clock other trans people out in public & asking them if they’re trans

-saying “tboy” and “tgirl” to describe fully grown adults, and also in place of just saying man or woman (as if trans always has to be specified)

-making no effort to pass (ie. ”trans men” that show off their chest)

If I express that these things are ridiculous, I’m somehow not progressive enough? I think it’s more progressive to treat trans men the same as cis men and trans women the same as cis women. I’m sure there are other people who think like me in these LGBT spaces, but they probably don’t express it for that same reason. I wish more people were just normal and had common sense.

How much do looks matter in casting?

I’m a 22 yr old tenor in an undergraduate vocal performance program right now. I know I’m probably too young to distinctly determine my fach, but I have a lighter, more flexible voice (I’ve been singing coloratura baroque arias and some Donizetti songs). My voice teacher told me I wouldn’t get cast as a love interest because I’m short (5’6), which was not great to hear because most roles for my voice type are love interests. I‘m also a person of color and have heard that racism in the industry can be a big problem and some casting directors are hesitant to cast POC.

Can anyone who is older & more experienced than me tell me their experience with casting? How important is race and height? Was my voice teacher right? I want to know honestly if my experience in this field will be significantly harder because of the way I look.
