I learned you’re not supposed to use toilet paper to dress your wounds so I took a pad from my sister

I feel like people generally don't consider more shallow small cuts as a valid form of self harm. I had to show a nurse my cuts the other day, and he showed no concern, even seemed a bit annoyed. Probably because he thought I had serious cuts and was dissapointed that it was just cowardly "larping" cuts. My parents also don't care. They saw my cuts before and they just look annoyed. They don't care if I continue or not.

I had a mental break the other day and thought about seeking therapy. But after seeing the scars people have here and seeing the nurse be annoyed, I decided against it. I am most likely just being overdramatic and should just fix things myself. But I just want a definitive answer. Because people always say that all SH is valid and that there is nothing wrong with seeking help. But the same people always look annoyed and dissapointed when they find out my problems aren't serious.

So, do you all think that shallow small cuts like these are valid, or is it honestly not that serious? I just need a definitive answer.

I have school on Monday, church Sunday, and my has no work Friday so she will probably see these, is there anyway I can hide these? I don’t have long sleeves shirts and I can’t wear a jacket as I live in AZ and my mom will get suspicious.

it’s mainly the fresh stuff I’m more worried about, though the scars too. I want to be able to have them out, it feels validating (is that weird?) but I don’t want people to be concerned or ask a ton of questions. i’m not even sure how noticeable they are. they’re pretty recent but have closed and most are scarred/scarring. there are some that are likely not as visible on the camera because my camera quality isn’t great.

Unfortunately my mom took away my eyebrow razor so I’ve been using a dull xacto knife :( I’ve never cut so small on my arm like this before and it’s quite confusing to tell what it is
