TVTime refugee with questions

First off, apologies to Serializd users for the influx of us former TVTime users slowing things down. Most of us will be nice additions to your community (I hope) 😬

I have a few questions on how to manage a series in Serializd in the following situations:

  1. I’ve finished the current season, but want a notification when the new season starts, what’s the appropriate status? Widow’s Bay or Ted Lasso, for example

I don’t want to leave it as Currently Watching, because it gets so cluttered. I’m hoping I can use that for shows I’m actively watching

  1. What do you mark a new series that you want notifications when the first episode is released?Like Harry Potter

Same issue about not having it as Currently Watching

  1. What about a show that has now been renewed for another season, but doesn’t have the future season input yet? Like RJ Decker

Again, same issue about not wanting it is Currently Watching

Thank you in advance for your expertise!

next watch page

can you add a page that shows what the next ep of shows we’re watching is??? and it’d be helpful if we can sort of just tick it off right then instead of having to go to the show’s page (like tv time)

Thanks to the devs of Serializd and a suggestion

Hey I've been using Letterboxd for some time now but I've wanted to track my shows and as that is unavailable I was kinda sad I couldn't find a good option until I found Serializd.

This app works perfectly and everything is designed exactly as I personally would design it to be to the last detail. I can only give one suggestion actually. When you mark an episode/a season/a show as watched again, somewhere there should be a display of how many numbers of rewatches you currently have for that item.

Thanks to everyone involved in the making of this wonderful app!

Syncing to AwardSeason.fun

This is a little side project of mine that allows you to see how your watchlist stacks up against awards/nominations going back decades. I just updated it so you can sync your Serializd account (as well as Letterboxd).

awardseason.fun

Just something I do for fun, if you have any suggestions let me know!

Time Watched Stats on Serializd

I totally understand why people would love a feature like the 'Time spent watching TV' stat, but does anyone else actually not use the app, or at least hesitate to, because of it? I'm a big fan of TV, but I don't really want to be reminded of how much time I spend watching it. It almost feels like the app is trying to make you feel guilty for engaging with it, if that makes sense. There's many shows I've never added purely because I don't want that stat to keep going up.

I built a free K-drama watchlist app because I kept losing track of what episode I was on, just shipped genre & year filters! 🎬🫶🏻

I’m a solo dev and K-drama fan who got tired of forgetting which episode I was on across the 5 dramas I’d inevitably start at once. So I built a little tracker for myself, and figured other people here might find it useful too. 👀🫶🏻

What it does:

Track what you’re watching, completed, plan-to-watch, or dropped — with episode progress

Discover popular, recently released, and upcoming Korean series

Rate shows and see anonymous community ratings (no one can see who rated what)

Add friends / join groups to compare watchlists

Just shipped an update adding genre and release year filters to Discover, so it’s easier to narrow things down instead of scrolling through everything.

It’s completely free, no ads: kdrama-tracker.com 🫶🏻🎬

Would genuinely love feedback, especially on what’s missing or annoying to use, still very early and building this solo.

Serializd vs TV Time? 📺.𖥔 ݁ ˖

i just joined serializd about a week ago, and didn’t use tv time at all before it went down
for those that used both, which did you prefer? how do they compare? i’d be so bummed out if an app i was using shut down, but i luv serializd so much so far that i’m just curious as to how other users feel.
i’ve noticed a huge number of people mentioning in their bios that they’re coming from tv time. just curious about anyone’s thoughts!

also, my user is cherryz on serializd if anyone coming from tv time is looking for some new mutuals!! i follow back and luv making friends in this community 🎬🩷📼

Feature request: A prompt that appears when you mark the last episode of a season as watched, inviting you to log and rate the entire season

Rating seasons seems to be an overlooked feature, which is a shame because it looks so good in the diary when you filter by season and you get to see it this way. A prompt that invites people to log and/or rate and review seasons would be a good way not to forget to do this!

I built a dedicated K-Drama tracker to log episodes, watch time, and ratings – would love your feedback!

Hey everyone!

As a huge K-Drama fan, I always found general movie/TV tracking apps a bit cluttered when all I wanted was a clean space focused purely on dramas.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been working on a project called K-Drama Tracker, and I’ve just opened it up for people to try out!

What it currently does:

Track Progress & Watch Time: Keep tabs on finished, currently watching, and upcoming series (and see your total time spent watching!).

Ratings & Lists: Rate shows and maintain your personal watchlist.

Social & Community: See top-rated community picks, add friends, create groups, and share progress.

I’d really love for you to check it out at kdrama-tracker.com and tell me what you think. What features are missing? What would make this your go-to app for tracking?

Thanks for taking a look and happy watching! 🍿

Netflix has been digging its own grave for a while now

I think they secretly always knew their model was unsustainable and they have been trying to milk it as much as they can these last few years. My only advice is not to get too attached to any Netflix show, they are a tech company
