last year I made post about how I feel like Dragon Age pulls a lot of Dalish inspiration from Native Americans but yet none of the Dalish look it. so I made a rook that had heavy native inspiration! I wanted to do the same for women in case someone wants to feel represented in that way as well!

I finally got around to starting this game!

second play through with this Rook with some minor adjustments to the original. i think she’s stellar. i’m very attached to her.

edit: i feel the need to say this as i am slowly accumulating some feedback of disdain for the design of the qunari in the new game in comparison to inquisition. i modeled my Rook after the tarot card for qunari women of inquisition. i remember seeing the long blonde flowing locks of a strong woman in the image and fell in love when i first played inquisition, geez 12 years ago now. only to be stifled by the disappointment in not having the option for long blonde flowing hair in the character creation. your options were bun, mohawk, or bald lmao
my rook is to pay homage to that stunning artwork and is also to be imposing and formidable when staring down her sword on the battlefield. if i could write my own story based on her and her own personal adventures i would, but i refuse to play off someone else’s ideas and world building.
