Chunky boy

Denji came out of his hide to eat and I noticed he's definitely gained weight since I adopted him almost 4 weeks ago now. Little guy has started to get so sassy and demanding after a feeding because he wants more and more. Definitely living up the pacman name

I was around 6 years old when this happened and even as a 25 year old, it still stuck with me.

We used to live in this incredibly haunted house when I was in elementary school. My mom did her best to try to shelter (gaslight) us about it because she didn't want to scare us but all it did was make me feel like I wasn't believed anytime I came to her about seeing something.

I had a problem sleeping alone despite having my own room, so often I would sleep with either my grandmother or my mom depending on the night. That might, me and my two brothers decided to sleep with our nana so we were all squished in the bed. I woke up in the middle of the night needing to use the bathroom, so I carefully got up and went to the bathroom. Afterwards, I realized that it would be pointless to go back to my nana's room since no doubt one of my brothers would've rolled over and taken my spot. So, I decided to go back to my own room for the rest of the night. As I got to the doorway, I froze because it was pitch black and I had this sudden fear wash over me out of nowhere. Then, I heard a deep, unnatural voice say "Go back to sleep"

It scared me so bad that I bolted right back into my nana's room and launched myself on the bed. I still don't know what that was. Both of my brothers were still in bed when I ran back and our dad did not live with us.

It's usually a hit or miss if I'm believed when I tell people this story because it sounds too cheesy and it doesn't help that when Creepypasta became a thing I got told that it was "Jeff the Killer" as a joke because he says that same line.

I have a TON of stories from that house alone, but I wanted to share my biggest one first

Denji finally came up after 2 days with a big appetite. Fed him a cut up nightcrawler that he immediately jumped at as soon as he saw the tweezers enter his enclosure. I ended up accidentally dropping the third piece and he continued to try to bite the tweezers whenever I attempted to pick up the dropped piece, but because he kept getting closer to the door, I left it alone and tried to give him time to settle down. Later on since he kept showing an appetite, I decided that I would try to give him a dubia roach since they've always been his favorite so far. He ate that and when I yet again tried to pick up the dropped piece of nightcrawler he kept lounging for the tweezers and getting closer and closer to the door. I shut it and decided to just leave it alone since I'm going to have to change out his substrate within the next two days anyway. This dude proceeded to glare at me no matter where I was in the room for a good two hours before finally deciding to sit in his bowl and bury himself again afterwards

I think it's safe to say that he knows Tweezers = Food and that's about how far his thinking goes

TL;DR: Denji kept jumping at the tweezers anytime they entered the enclosure

I got Denji almost 2 weeks ago now and after spending a few days above ground and not burrowing, he decided to finally bury himself and not come up. After two days, I did uncover him to check on him and make sure he was still alive and not losing weight. I Attempted to feed him and he was not at all interested. Finally, after 5 days he resurfaced on his own and ate his first super worm immediately!

He really had me paranoid this whole time, so when I turned over and saw him and immediately jumped out of bed to feed him. Who cares if it's 2am when your baby is hungry
