Shinedown has always had my heart. The band has really made some bangers start to present. But I feel like the old and new Shinedown are two different bands. For example, compare Us and Them to EI8HT. Both are great, but to me they’re way different styles, which is for various reasons. I’m curious: which era of Shinedown strikes you more?

I’m counting old Shinedown as Leave a Whisper, Us and Them, and Sound of Madness since I think those three really have the grungy sound while Amaryllis introduced the more poppy aspect to the band.

Planet Zero (still love that album) was such a hard rock juggernaut that I’ll give these guys a pass for Eight. Only 3 songs with staying power from my perspective - DKD, Blowing up the Disco , S&S. The rest is solid pop rock but not my thing. Hopefully they get their edge back, but I have eternal appreciation for PZ, so they are fine by me whatever they do in the future. That album is a 10.5 in my book.

before I start I am one of the biggest Shinedown fans ever, I love seeing them in concert and I listened to their music almost every day. I hate to say this about Brent but it’s becoming more obvious that he lip-synchs the second chance chorus, the monsters chorus and the symptom of being human chorus. This does not make me hate the band in any way shape or form but it is kinda unfortunate that they don’t just go in a lower octave. And also when he yells enemies you can tell it’s pre-recorded. I get why people say he really is singing live it’s because most of the time he really is but you can kind of tell it’s not the exact version from the song but it always sounds the same every single concert you would think there would be a little bit of imperfection. Nobody is a perfect singer besides (Michael Jackson) I could be wrong but I wanna know your guys‘s thoughts on this and I hope you guys don’t rip me apart for it. But besides that the rest of the songs do sound great and you can tell he’s really singing it’s just those songs that always sound the same you can go on different concert videos and you can see what I’m talking about. Love all you guys

it’s not exact vocals from the recording but it’s processed and auto tuned so it sounds like it’s live but it isn’t I hope that makes sense but again I could be completely wrong but I think a lot of us can agree it really all sounds the same at every concert and when Brent sings it’s really always imperfect and then when the chorus happens it’s just always perfect so that’s what makes me believe that it’s lip syncing.

Personally I don't have any major questions that come to mind, I only listened to their songs on the radio, but would definitely check them out more before I attend their show!

I know this isn’t the normal type of post here, but I thought I’d ask my question anyways. I have tickets to see them on July 13th in Toronto. Originally they were bought for my dad and I to go (would have been our third time in four years) but he can’t go anymore as he is having surgery. I had a hard time finding someone else to go but my nephew said he would go. I should mention I am on disability myself so don’t have a lot of disposable income, but do prioritize experiences with family. Unfortunately if I go with my nephew, I will end up paying for everything (gas to drive to a family members place 3 hours away, get train tickets to and from Toronto plus any meals along the way).

All that to say, I’m debating whether it’s ‘worth it’ to go. I know the show they put on is definitely worth it as they are one of my favourite acts to see, but wondering if this specific show will be worth it. The last two shows I saw were basically just the hits (PZ show but at a casino so no real production and DKD Act 1), no new material was done. When I bought these tickets, I was hoping for a full Ei8ht tour with all new material but I’ve been following set lists and it seems like it’s again mostly hits with maybe a few deeper cuts and a new song or two. If they aren’t playing new material, I’m not sure if all the hassle and expense will be worth it.

Can anyone weigh in on the situation? Are they expected to majorly change up the set list for this second leg?

Hi, im writing a paper on shinedown, and I had a few questions. My first question is: Did shinedown have any scrapped album names that are known? The second question: Has shinedown ever released a book on the asking of the albums?

ive successfully dragged my friend along to the concert in my city, and im trying to make a playlist of songs that theyre likely to play. So far this is the list, but im not sure how likely they actually are, and i cant think of any others that they're likely to do. So yeah, what else should i add?

We are taking our 4 year old to see Shinedown for her first concert and I want to make her a shirt to wear. Our 12 year old has seen them already and we just did the normal band shirt for him but I’m wanting something cute for her and her little rocker self.

I have a large playlist filled with Shinedown songs but sometimes I skip some of them so I wanted to write out the 10 that as of now are unskippable.

I recently started listening to Shinedown, and I already like them. But at the moment, I only have 12 of their songs on my playlist. Can you recommend any more? Does anyone else remember a “live” concert music video of this song? It was my favorite but doesn’t exist anymore.

One side would be planet zero and the other EI8HT. I really enjoyed angry Covid lockdown music a little bit better than this one. Even attention attention is a completely different band it sounds like to the newest
