So I have been recently started playing shion and lowkey its really fun but I started playing her cause Im trying to get out of diamond 3 and I just cant with mei and cassidy

So I need a New character to my hero pool so you guys think She is solo carry potential ??

This game was rough I think I have alot of trouble vs the genji match up on shion. Especially on 3rd point I was obsessed with trying to take the high grounds but I don't bike properly up there or take too much poke damage or get forced out immediately it's annoying because their supports play all the way back and I can't get to them but genji can get to my supps just fine A stupid mistake I do is I keep using bike for an escape then I get out but I want value from bike so I try to force it and die kills me the first time on 1st def and another on 2nd def

I’m trying to build a competitive DPS hero pool around Shion and would love some advice.
For some background, I’ve made it into Masters playing pretty much strictly Genji and Echo. Those are by far the two DPS I’m most comfortable on, and I’ve always gravitated toward mobile/projectile heroes. I’ve tried adding hitscans to my pool before, but I honestly just don’t enjoy playing most of them enough to stick with them long term.

Shion is the exception. She’s the first hitscan I’ve actually fallen in love with playing, and I want to seriously invest time into mastering her.
My eventual goal is to climb from Masters to GM, so I’m trying to build a small but well-rounded hero pool rather than constantly swapping between a bunch of different DPS. Ideally, I’d like to have around 3 heroes total, with Shion being one of them.
From a competitive standpoint, what two DPS would you recommend pairing with Shion to cover her weaknesses, bad matchups, and maps where she struggles?

Since I already have a lot of experience on Genji and Echo, I’m especially curious whether Shion/Genji/Echo is already a strong enough pool for a GM climb, or if there’s too much overlap and I’d be better off dropping one of them for something that complements Shion better.

I’m open to learning someone new, I’d just prefer to avoid traditional hitscans unless there’s a really strong reason to add one.

My aim is pretty meh (35%, 10% crit) and her small hitbox, high mobility, invincible frames, make her extremely difficult for me to hit.

I know about the Fox Fire tell for where she'll pop out at. Are there any other tips for dealing with her?

Is Faces of Death really that much better than Joyride healing you? I see on the OWperks website that Faces is taken like 80-90% of the time across most ranks. I feel like whenever I take it, it doesn't help me that much compared to having a heal on demand with my bike.

What perks do you all pick?

1. Bike radius from ground reduced from 1.5 to 1 (33% nerf)

2. Flanker Perk: Extra health pack healing reduced from 75 to 50

Personally I thought she was balanced since she had around 51% winrate and no one is complaining about her so the nerfs felt unnecessary but it’s no big deal. What do you think?
