I haven’t played OW since 2019 and started playing again 2 seasons ago and MAAAAAAANNN have I been enjoying sierra so so so so much. Currently I’m level 52 on her and I got the 2 skins and 2 weapon variant haha.

But what I’ve seen is that there’s almost no one that counters her and it’s so much fun (I’m gold 2 :P)

I’ve always had issues with genji as a bastion main, but with sierra whenever I face a genji and he starts deflecting I hit a tremor shock under him for a 100 and it’s so easy to finish him off. Same with mauga, I just avoid when he has the over health and tag him and he’s drained half of his health and the rest is not that hard. Oh and don’t get me started with a mercy,cat,pharah or an echo they’re immediately toast.

The left click SPECIALLY with the 2nd perk is literally why I wake up everyday and play her. She’s actually so much fun man I haven’t enjoyed and loved a hero this much in such a long time.

TBH idc for comp whatsoever unless it’s drives but I really really really hope she gets more cosmetics and cooler weapons designs and hopefully a mythic soon!

I've always thought of Sierra as a uninspired DPS who gets very little play time (at least in my games I see her once in a blue moon) and seems to always underperform.

I just want to know from the people who do like her, why do you like her, what's the appeal? I know there has to be one but I just can't see it and would love to know what it is.

I've been playing overwatch for the first time in 4 months and I've found that I really like using Sierra.

I've only been using her for a day now, but the main issue I have is hitting people and finding value with tremor charge.

I also don't understand it's overall function.

Is it mainly used to damage around corners?

Or, is it like Anna's boitic grenade where its used to charge ult while also disabling the enemy?

Or is it just like Junkrats mine and its used to do quick burst damage.

I'm open to all answers because this character is really run.

I’m one of the people who actually likes Sierra’s tracking shot and I think it’s a fair skillshot. I think there is more to do with the drone. Here’s me spitballing some ideas.

* Have the one of the drone resets be in the air so that Sierra can traverse quickly. I think that can lead to a lot of skill expression in regards to movement. Of course, it would have to be while Sierra is in the air, if she lands on the ground, then the second drone use works as normal.

* Visual flair: When Sierra tags an enemy and the Drone is in the air, the drone also tracks the target with a pink laser sight. Does no damage, does not reveal, go around corners, etc but it’s just a bit of visual flair so that it doesn’t just feel like it’s just hanging out.

Minor perk: Replace the increased launch by 25% with a Hanzo-type wall hack for the drone, within its vincinity. Fun idea, have the outlines be pink instead of red.

Major perk: Replace the health pack with Sierra gaining 40% Damage Reduction while in air while using the drone. Visual flair, have it look like a pink force field.

I am not a Sierra main but I am Black. Just finished reading this article on D.Mon and man it is SO obvious how much the devs half assed Sierra in comparison to all the other new heroes after seeing how much more effort were put into Shion and D.mon. I don't want her to be the Wyll of overwatch (as in being unpopular by fans bc the devs neglected them). She is DEFINITELY heading that way currently. A kit designed to annoy low level lobbies while also not being given much story relevance or unique kit is a recipe to be ignored.

I think we should organize an effort to get the devs to go back and put time into her kit to properly realize the drone rock climber hero fantasy. imo the thing that could give her a lot more skill expression and unique place in the roster is dorothy. Sierra should be THE recon character and honestly would benefit from playing more like a sniper. I could see a cool gameplay loop of breaking off from the team to set up a good perch to scout the enemy movements. This info would be highlighted to the team. Once has a target she hits her skill shot and then use more movement abilities to keep up with them until they're down. So less dmg immediately, let her chase the kill with some unique more fluid drone movements and roof climbs (thats something that could be Sierra only!). This is all just off the top of my head bc while I'm not a dps main I really don't want the only regular Black american girl to fall off.

lmk your thoughts on how she could have a more unique kit

Overall she feels weak, and my goodness her guns noise can get grating but I have a feeling I will be playing her a lot. Her projectile feels like almost the same speed as LW and he's without a doubt my main. Will be nice to have a dps that shoots like him so I can keep working on my aim. Also Dorothy jumping can feel like petal jumping which feels familiar... sooo hi 👋lol

I understand new heroes often get nerfed after their initial release, but I literally can’t kill anyone on the enemy team whenever I use my ult😭I even try to anchor the drone high up so that it covers more surface area, but literally NOTHING. I was wondering if anyone else is facing this issue? Maybe it’s my skill issue 🥲

Wanted thoughts on a power shift to make Sierra’s gameplay loop slightly more interesting.

Basically the core of the idea is to make it so that whenever you grapple to Dorothy you get a 20-30% fire rate increase. This would promote the playstyle of using your drone to engage into risky combat scenarios.

In exchange they can find a way to make tracker dart less annoying for lower ranks, at least until they learn how to use cover
