Just an fyi but the correct size hex wrench to remove the funky switch nobs is 1.27 mm

I got them on Amazon for around $12 us. Just an fyi since they’re small and can easily strip if you aren’t using the correct size. Also you don’t need to apply a lot of torque. Just snug them and they will be fine.

Alpha evo base connect to Simucube Savu wheel

Hi guys, I'm looking forward to buy Simucube Savu to pair with my Simagic Alpha evo. But I'm not sure that Simagic QR-A is able to connect them together. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Which Haptics for P700 Pedals?

Hey guys im going to order some Haptics for the P700 I just got. Do both models bolt right up to the p700? If so, is there a reason i should choose the HPR or the HPR GT Linear?

I believe i read someone saying they have the linear on their throttle and the regular HPR on the brake, does that sound like a good move?

Thanks in advance

I suck all over again

Hi all,

I have been playing iRacing on controller for the past year. Wanted to make sure I really liked it before committing to equipment. Worked myself up to 1800 IR and A SR. Can compete in middle pack of lower half splits in Gt3 Races and importantly keep things clean. But, I knew my steering angle wasn't great on controller, and I was probably over breaking, all costing me time. Typically, I'd be 2 seconds back from top split times in a typical 1:45 to 2 min track for GT3.

Bought the Evo Sport 9nm, P700, GT neo wheel bundle and just got it all set up. I think I have decent settings now for wheel strength, max strength, etc. But, I totally suck, 2-3 seconds behind my times from the controller. I don't have a feel for braking yet - the controller I had had some LFE with antilock braking that I miss. and I can't sense oversteer very well yet other than when the wheel torque changes which I feel like I am recognizing too late. I know this will get better with practice, but is there a good strategy for that? Should I go back to Mx-5 and work back up to GT3 or stick with what I like to race and just do a lot of practice sessions? I have no intention of joining a race and screwing others up with how I am right now.

Would adding the wheel haptics give me back what I am missing, or is that a crutch that I should learn to live without?

I know others have made a similar change but appreciate advice on what strategies work to at least get me slow controller times back and then get better.

Help deciding wheel from people who’ve used these

Not gonna buy yet, but I’m doing research on what I’ll end up buying. Originally I was going to go for moza r9 + esx wheel, but I’ve been reading stuff about Simagic being better quality overall.

So, for an Alpha Evo Sport 9nm which is the most I can afford, which of these wheels would be better as an all rounder. I’m talking Asetto corsa, AC competizione, dirt rally, LMU, automobilista, Forza horizon 6, and everything in between, maybe even iRacing if I end up being able to afford it.

GT Neo

Neo X 330T

Neo X 330R

Neo X 350W Drift

Neo X 310G

Neo X D

I am also buying a hand break and a shifter, in case it matters.

Simagic on Rseat?

Hi guys, new member here.
My name is Martin 36yo and In the very near future I’m going to switch from my well trusted T500RS (11 years and counting) to a Simagic base. I was about to go far the Alpha Evo but as durability is something very important to me I made the decision to go for the 18NM Pro cause less stress for the motor is less wear is my theory.
And since I’m a very happy user of the DS-8X shifter (for about 2 years) Simagic is an easy way to go.

I’m wondering, and couldn’t really find anything on the web, are there any people out here using (like me) the Rseat RS1 to bolt their Alpha Evo series on?
I’m not really in any doubt if the rig is strong enough cause it’s made out of arm thick metal tubes but more out of curiosity.

Would be glad to hear any feedback:)
Cheers

The upgrade was so worth it.

After sim racing with my G29 for 3 years I finally upgraded and wow. Just wow. I had been missing out. Took a little to get used to but once that rhythm comes in its so much fun. Cable management is the next step here tho.

Gt Neo maglink not connecting

Hello, I just got my gt Neo and maglink but it’s just flashing the leds, and when I hold the left stick up and update the firmware it just goes right back to flashing and disconnects, I have it directly plugged into my motherboard but I think it’s not supplying enough power for it. Would a powered usb hub fix this issue?

UPDATE: went to Best Buy and purchased a powered usb hub and that did the trick! Tysm for all the help yall

Simagic Alpha, Evo or Evo pro?

Edit: i think i'm going for the EVO, thanks a LOT for all the helpfull feedback and info!

From the responses here i've gathered that the EVO's 12Nm is more than enough, both 12Nm evo and 18Nm Pro owners say they mostly run between 6~12Nm at most while racing anyway. Plus someone pointed out that the 12Nm as advertised by Simagic is the Holding/Nominal torque, the peak values actually go up a bit so there's more wiggle room than that.

/Edit

I can't decide which i should get and i'd like some help. Right now i have Simsonn pedals with haptics, a Playseat Challenge DD which can handle up to 15nM with minimal flex and a 4,4nM Belt driven T500RS. The T500RS is the final thing i'd like to upgrade and i've decided i want to get a Direct Drive wheel in the 10~15nM range to have enough wiggle room to not have clipping while also being "done for good" and never have to upgrade it again.

Originally i wanted the Alpha; 15nM range, great reviews, great build quality. Then i saw the EVO series and that's where i lost track of what to go for.

* Evo sport: 8nM is too weak for me and i think i'd regret this, feeling like i should've gotten more

* Evo: 12nM, while i've read that 15nM is generally considered the sweet spot. I'm a bit worried that with 12nM i might run out of range to run it optimally without clipping especially in open wheel cars.

* Evo Pro: 18nM, objectively the best choice, but also very expensive and not exactly what i was hoping for as a budget.

Then there's the Alpha vs Evo dilemma too;

* Alpha is "outdated" and will not continue to be supported as long as Evo

* Alpha is cheaper

* EVO line allegedly has much better force feedback definition

* EVO allegedly also has a lot more technical issues and more likely to have faulty products

Can anyone help me here? Do i go for the trustworthy, but (soon) outdated Alpha? Or the 12nM EVO which might make me regret not getting 15nM+? Or do i go for the 18nM EVO pro which is out of my budget (budget is subjective in sim racing though) and possibly has technical issues?

Alpha evo 9n.m hot

Hi guys,
Quick question: I’ve had the Alpha Evo 9Nm since February.
I’ve recently started doing 45-minute races on iRacing, but every time around the 35-40 minute mark, the base gets boiling hot and the fan spins up really strong.
Here are my current settings.
Are they too high/strong? Is there any risk? Because I’d like to start doing 2-hour endurance races soon, but if the base is already struggling after 45 minutes, it’s going to be tricky.

Better choice for a newbie? Simagic Alpha Evo 9nm or 12nm

Better choice for a newbie?

I will be using it on a Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 in the begining, and hopefully upgrade to a full rig once i've got space and if i enjoy it enough.

It's been a long time since i tired it, so with the more expensive option i'm a bit scared i might not enjoy it.

There arent really any atractive used uptions on the market (people are charing more then i would pay new or a maximum of €50 less.)

Both are bundels.

Simagic Alpha Evo 9nm Wheelbase

Simagic GT Neo Steering Wheel

Simagic P700 2-Pedal Set

€700

Simagic Alpha 12nm Evo Wheelbase

Simagic GT Neo Steering Wheel

Simagic P1000 3-Pedal Set

€1100

Just a bit scared i might not enjoy it enough and might up selling it all.
And it has to come out of another country so warranty might be a bit more of a hassel if needed.

Not getting any Rumble strip vibration on iRacing - Evo Sport

Hello, I just picked up the Simagic bundle and testing out iRacing for the first time with it, it feels great aside from the fact i have no feel on rumble strips. Not talking about 3d curbs, i feel those very well, but the rumble strips are doing nothing at all, can hear them but cant feel. i can even drive into the dirt and basically feel no vibrations in the wheel.

Before anyone blames iRacing, it's all I play and my wheelbase that I am replacing had a ton of feel on the same rumble strips on the same track.

i've messed with settings in Simpro and in iRacing with no luck, any ideas to help? anyone else having the same experience?

Upgrading from a G29 from 3 years ago

I was really debating between going with a Moza setup or Simagic, but most of the reviews I read were all positive towards Simagic. Plus, the haptics are what really sold it. I did go with the smaller wheelbase at 9Nm; I read that's all you need for GT racing, but if I made a mistake, please let me know!
