Obviously based off of the '67 Lotus 49, I wanted to build a mobile rig with only a single power cord coming out of it. I designed and built an open chassis PC that's housed in the "engine" along with the audio and transducer amps. Each velocity stack houses an 80mm PWM fan to exhaust heat. There are two 120mm fans pulling air in from the bottom. PC built based on reasonably priced, and available, components; 9800X3D and 7900XTX.

Other mentions that I can think of:

• all body and engine components were self designed and created in house via CNC and/or 3D printing

• custom ply and PVC sheet frame and body with 40120 skeleton

• Wrapped in metallic, British racing green with period correct logos

• 57" Samsung on a (highly recommended) Montek swivel mount - this rig will travel some and the single monitor made more sense than triples

• Simagic Alpha, P1000 pedals (with custom plates and haptics), modded DX8 shifter (machined elongated SEQ/H lever and "period-ish correct" walnut and aluminum shift knob)

• power seat and pedals

• Ultrashield race seat with cover

• custom dash with 14 bind-able buttons/switches and 4" round LED screen

• integrated touch/mouse pad in upholstered arm

• 2-100w transducers mounted to bottom and back of seat - dedicated Aiyima amp

• 8-speakers, including the rear view mirrors - dedicated Aiyima amp

• 6 position terminal block powered by a 360W converter

• 28" tire step

This was fun...sometimes. There are 1000 things I'll do different on the next one. I get to build a '62 Porsche 804 for his best friend.

Just nabbed a set of P700s in the 8th anniversary bundle and added some HPT haptic modules for the brake and throttle. In my excitement I screwed the haptics on and jumped in to try them out. The stock springs were super soft for me so I tried to swap out the red for the gold spring.

Damn it needed some serious force to press down and get below the haptic module for swapping out.

Also the gold spring still feels quiet, any recommendations on how a good solid stiffer setup?

Anyone having any luck with the ffb? It keeps going to device 4 no matter what, even if I disconnect everything it will reset. I have simsonn pedals and a simagic shifter & ebrake

I see most Sim hardware reviewers recommend 900 or 1080 steering angle for wheel base and in game setting.

Personally find this not aggressive enough, and run 540 on all platforms iRacing, ACC, AC, LMU, AMS2 etc and most car types formula, sportcars, GT's etc.

Previously had Fanatec CSL DD and now Simagic EVO Pro, and set to 540 on both.

I am not very quick, but am consistent.

Curious what most others use??

So I've tried getting my ffb to work properly for the last 4 hours and have had terrible luck and am too stupid to figure out the whole vjoy/emuwheel setup. I can get my wheel to be device one on forza and I can get ffb to work with pedals and shifter unplugged.(though it feels horrid, I turn a tiny bit and it starts violently swinging from lock to lock). As soon as I plug my pedals back in and rebind them in game I instantly lose ffb. It still says my wheel is device 1 until I restart the game. It then changes my wheel every time to device 2. Ive tried downloading the stupid vjoy and emuwheel but I cannot get it setup and theres nothing online about getting those setup. Please help. My friend bought this for my bday and id like to join him, im getting extremly frustrated at this point. I have simagic everything. Alpha mini, p1000i, dsx8 shifter

Just a quick feedback on how to make the FFB work with such a combo without any a extra software(s)

I have tried for 2 hours yesterday and finally find a way this morning after some googling.

Understanding:
Your wheelbase must be « Device 1 » in FH6 because FH6 is sending FFB signal to the device 1 only.

Some tips:
The Handbrake must be connected directly to the base or he will always take the FFB from the wheelbase.

You need to start the the game with your pedals unplugged from the computer. (Yeah, it’s the annoying part)

Because there is no others way to force your wheelbase to be Device 1.

Once you are in the game, configure your wheel and only then plug your pedals to configure them. You might go back to the main menu then again on the control menu to be able to setup the pedals input.

And voilà.

Next Time you start the game, remember to unplugg the pedals, go to input to double check of the wheelbase is Device 1, if yes, plug the pedals and go! If no, set the wheel input again, it will take the Device 1 spot and you can then plug the pedals.

I am a racing game enjoyer (sim / simcade or even arcade) but I thought that FH was a controller game! I started playing with FH4 and enjoyed FH5, both on controller without even thinking of trying it with my rig. What a mistake!

It is so much fun and it is pretty good in FFB and feeling! Worth the struggle.
