Major health systems sponsoring epic EHR training

I'm currently finishing up a few certs in Health Information Management and will be applying to the major health systems (it seems to be Sanford and Avera). I'm open to any role. Does anyone on this sub work for them, and do they offer sponsorship to get certified as an Epic Analyst? That is a certification I have been working towards, and from what I've read, they usually want you to have some background in IT or admin and records. And you also need an employer to sponsor you for the training and certification.

Rugs in a tent by the mall

Has anyone ever looked at one of those "rug sale" tents that are out in the JCPenney's parking lot from time to time? I guess I instinctively mistrust things sold in a fly-by-night tent, but I really need an area rug at the moment. Are the rugs legit, and are the prices lower than going online? Any input would be great, thanks!

Is Tuthill Park Disc Golf Course closed?

I’ll be there this weekend and will have some free time and just curious if the course is closed for something? Says on google it’s permanently close so just curious.

Edit: Solved. It’s open. Thank you!

Sioux Falls Dentists!

Hello everyone! I am looking for a dentist in the area, I need about 5 cavities filled but I am a college student who has limited income and no parental help for dental work. I have purchased my own dental insurance through Delta Dental, and they will cover 50% of my fillings, however even with that I would need a payment plan option. Does anyone know of any dentists in the area accepting new patients that offer payment plans or any other form of lower costs? Thank you!

Mobile home communities

Looking for opinions on the various trailer/mobile home parks around SF. I have my eye on Misty Glen and Powderhouse. Anything positive or negative I need to know about either of these? I know Misty Glen does not allow fences. This isn’t a deal breaker for me but I would prefer to have the option.

There’s a ton of homes for sale in Country View right now, and some of them I really like. But I’ve heard mostly negative things about both the area and the fact that their lot rent is twice the price of every other park. Is it significantly better than other parks in SF or do they really just charge that much just because? Please share any experiences if you’ve lived there or live there now!

Any other ones that I missed that I should consider? Any I should absolutely avoid no matter how good the house is?

Thanks friends!

Since when do county inspectors assess the interior of your house?

This seems wildly invasive

To the Dbag at Roam on Sunday night.

I just want to thank you and your buddy for parking your cars in front of and blocking BOTH of the handicap spots and the handicap loading area so you could pick up you wives. My 81 year old mother who had knee surgery last week really appreciated having to struggle across the parking lot, with her walker, to get in her car. It was my daughters 21st birthday last night and you were a stellar example of who not to be as a human being.

Do folks hunt deer in the area?

I don't hunt. I wish I knew how, but it was never something I was introduced to, nor was my husband. I've shot a gun once when visiting family in Michigan one time, and hit the center of the target on my first try, but was absolutely dreadful the rest of that trip to the range. I would love to hunt my own meat but I'm sure it wouldn't turn out well for me.

Are there folks who hunt deer in the Sioux Falls area and sell the meat, hide, or bones? I did some searching and it does look like some business do sell a little but was just wondering more about individuals. Not really sure where to look to even make a request.

Local fashion shops to support

My family use to enjoy doing clothes shopping down town. We like to support local. Checked them out today and saw that only like 3 are still around. Is there any other local boutiques cloths stores in Sioux Falls? I would like to continue to support small and local. It’s just sad that we can’t walk around downtown to do clothes shopping anymore. Also just hoping that downtown won’t only be a bar and restaurant area.

Any place a person could adopt a ferret in/around town (before a pet store?)

Hey all. I’m moving out of my dads place in the next 2-3 months and would finally have the space and ability to take care of a ferret. I’ve been around them before and know what I’m getting into, don’t worry, I just want to know where I could get one. I’d like to adopt from a shelter or something rather than a pet store, just morally would rather do that. I CANNN do a pet store for sure if it’s my only option, but I generally prefer shelters.

WITH that being said, is there any animal shelter in-around town that has ferrets that need to be adopted?

Dagger & Arrow Hot Sauce

I recently moved away from South Dakota and made the mistake of not stocking up on this Hot Sauce. Its absolutely fantastic if you haven’t tried it. Has anyone ever had it shipped to them? I’ve tried calling them, emailing, and filing out their contact us form. I even looked at the websites of those that sell it in stores and looked if they shipped it and had no luck.

Edit: you can have em shipped through Fersons website!!

Local Show Discovery

My band is touring through Sioux Falls and we’re trying to figure out the best ways to get the word out about our show.

For those of you who regularly go to local shows/concerts, how do you usually find out about them? Local Instagram/Facebook pages, venues, flyers, Reddit, local music calendars, word of mouth, something else?

We’d love to promote the show in ways that actually reach people who are into live music, so any recommendations for local pages, groups, calendars, venues, or other resources would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Where can I go to find more friends in SF?

My boyfriend and I are looking to make more friends here but we don’t really know where to go. We are both 20 so no drinking. My boyfriend is super into video games and I am a little bit as well but I more like crafts. I’ve tried searching google but I don’t exactly know where to look or what places are actually fun and more lively. Does anyone know what kinda of events there are in SF that are good for making friends with these types of hobbies?

Iowa drivers living up to their reputation

Its the weekend so all of the Iowa drivers come to Sioux Falls to show off their driving skills.
Yesterday I was almost hit by a white Yukon as she was frantically trying to figure out how to get into Costco (she was in the outer lane), then I saw her drive down the road a bit towards the gas station and attempted to make a left turn where there was no road in front of the gas pumps, then drive down a bit more and try it again. This wasn't someone's gran, she looked to be in her 30s.

Today's spectacular specimen of Iowa driving, I was headed south on Minn Ave under the 229 overpass. A black Yukon with black out Iowa plates was in the far right lane, I was in the middle lane. The Yukon almost side swipes my car, and would have taken out the front passenger side if I hadn't slammed on the brakes fast enough. Then proceeds to pull sideways across my lane blocking me and everyone behind me until the left turn lane clears enough then they cut in front of the cars coming into the left turn lane so they could make a left and get on 229.
