21 female 5’6

Hey guys, I have a concern, might be dumb. But first, I started off my weight loss journey from 208+ and now i am 179lbs. My thing is, I have been eating 1500 calories and was not prioritizing protein, I go to the gym and strength train 3-4 days a week, I never really thought about being “skinny fat” but now I have been thinking about it and how I do not want to be that. I have been over thinking and wondering if I ruined myself and probably lost too much muscle?? My goal was to be slim, fit and “toned”. Did I ruin myself and the chance at that? Is it too late? I want to do my diet right
I need truth and advice, thank you

Am I actually skinny or just skinny fat? I don't know what people see.

Am I actually skinny or just skinny fat? I don't know what people see.
I'm 19F and people always tell me I'm skinny. Some even say they wish they had my body or tell me I should gain weight.
The thing is, I don't feel skinny. I have noticeable fat around my stomach and hips, and I feel like my body looks very different without clothes on. It almost feels like I'm misleading people even though I'm obviously not trying to.
I recently learned about the term "skinny fat" and it feels like that's exactly me.
Is this a common thing? How do you explain it to people without sounding insecure or like boasting? And if you've been skinny fat before, what actually helped you lose the belly and hip fat while still looking healthy?

Edit:
I think people are getting it wrong. I’m not really insecure about my body. I’m just sharing the fact that I’m not able to explain people what my body type is when they get it wrong and that feels like lying to them.
Also about losing weight, it’s not cuz I’m insecure, it’s cuz I wanna look toned. Is losing weight a stigma now? Like I like my body the way it is, but is it wrong if I wanna change it?

Also I don’t usually workout at all and I want to change that this time, hence asked for tips.
Not cuz I’m insecure 😭

How to fix skinny fat but underweight

Hi,

I want to change my physique so badly. I wake up and hate how I look with or without a shirt and I wanna make a change.

I am for context 5’7, and 50 kilograms. I know I am underweight with a BMI of around 18? However, at my weight, I am dissatisfied with the amount of stomach and face fat I have. I have been stalling and spinning my wheels in the gym for maybe 6-8 months with no real strength gains.

Initially, I tried a bulk however I noticed I gained mostly fat and ended up cutting it short. To fix it, I then was running a slight deficit to hopefully cut off the body fat and while it has worked, I don’t know what to do. Any advice? I want to escape this purgatory.

Am I skinny fat?

I literally cannot stop thinking about it. I always look bigger than other women my age (21). I am 170 cm and weight floats around 54 kgs. I am also really scared that with aging, I will start to gain weight. I saw it happen to friends. I cannot exercise very much but I watch what I eat.

Does navel shape determine body weight or fat distribution?

I have a genuine question.

Can a person's navel shape be related to their body weight or the way their body stores fat? Anything like some navel shapes determine weight gain in future or confirmed weight gain or some navel shapes determine that the person will never gain weight.

Is there any scientific connection between the shape of the belly button and body composition, or is the navel's appearance determined only by genetics and how the umbilical cord healed after birth?

Am I skinny fat?

F, 19, I recently lost upwards of 20 pounds this year, but now can't get the thought of looking slightly "chubby" or just a little squishy, especially in my thigh area, out of my head. I'm 5'2 and now around 100lbs (I feel as though I appear a little heavier than I actually am)Images are from today, except the last two pictures are before I lost weight, and was between 117-123lbs for comparison.

Will I lose muscle or become skinny fat on a 1,000-calorie deficit? I'm 81 kg (179 lbs), 6'0", and currently skinny fat. I'm eating around 100–110 g of protein per day, lifting weights 5 times a week.

My goal is to get lean, but I'm worried that such a large deficit might make me lose muscle and end up looking even skinnier or more skinny fat.
