A skull still in chainmail from the Battle of Visby, 1361.
The Battle of Visby was a violent Medieval battle near the town of Visby on the Swedish island of Gotland, fought between the inhabitants of Gotland and the Danes, with the latter emerging victorious.
The battle left a lasting archaeological legacy; masses of slaughtered soldiers and citizens lay scattered across what was once a blood battlefield. Slashed and broken bones, skeletons still in their chain mail and armor, and smashed skulls, some still with spears and knives protruding out of them.
It is one of over 1,100 remains discovered from the 1361 Battle of Visby on Gotland island, Sweden. The soldier was likely killed by a heavy blow to the face, as evidenced by damage to the jaw and upper teeth. These artifacts are currently displayed at the Gotland Museum (Fornsalen) in Visby.
A three piece skeletal cutlery set, designed by Dutch artist André Lassen, features a spoon, fork, and knife crafted from materials such as bronze or stainless steel.

An intricately carved human skull known as a kapala, originating from Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
It is estimated to be approximately 300 to 350 years old. The carvings feature religious symbols, such as the sacred "Om" syllable and the eight auspicious symbols, meant to represent impermanence and spiritual awakening. Such artifacts are historically used in rituals to represent the transitory nature of life and to guide souls toward enlightenment.

I was wondering your guys take on my skull tattoo. For me the ohm symbol represents the essence of the universe symbolizing creation and ending. Going with the skull it means eternity after death.
