I need help. I'm on a budget and I want to buy the Skullcandy Dime Evo. Has anyone tried them? I want them for the gym. If you have any experience with them or know a better alternative in this price range, please drop a comment.
Buying a birthday gift for my 17yo boyfriend who wants Skullcandy headphones for the gym. I’m torn between:
Crusher Evo (Sensory bass & better battery)
Hesh ANC (Active noise canceling)
Which one would be better for him? Is the bass and battery lofe on the Crusher Evo worth sacrificing ANC or is noise canceling a must have in a gym?
They connect to my phone but they won’t connect to the app
Hi guys, never been on this sub before but I'm hoping someone can help me.
Dropped my headphones the other day and now the right side doesn't play any sound.
I opened it up to have a look. The wire with the white bit at the end has broken off from the cover. Pic 1 and 2. Pic 3 is the left side for reference, didn't dare open it wider. (Left side is fine, plays sound well.)
Is this salvageable? Can I just glue this back together? Electronics is really not my field so not sure how to fix it. I've had these headphones for 9+ years and they still worked really well till this happened.
Thanks in advance guys!
I am just thinking of buying those, but not sure why that sale goes for so long :/
I’ve tried holding the volume buttons until it said pairing and I’ve also tried until it said power off. It still won’t work.
I found the crusher 720 in a store not sure if its been officially announced yet.
So after a week i can say a few things.
Battery is shocking. I have had to charge twice so definitely not the 50 hours advertised.
Performance also drastically drops when the battery nears 50%. Bass is nowhere near how it is at full charge.
Do not sit firm on my head and feel like there going to fall off all the time.
Things i do like are the bass at full charge. Just 20% is more than enough to actually enjoy the music alongside the skull crushing bass and it most definitely is skull crushing 👌🏻 in the way bass heads want🙌🏻
Build quality. These things are solid. Like the little bag they come with.
Glad i only paid half price for them on prime day.
Definitely not going to be my everyday head phones but will be in the rotation for sure
I recently learned about the Aviator 900 ANC when researching Mimi sound personalization enabled over ear headphones and I got one and I am absolutely loving it! The Mimi sound personalization makes a huge difference to music listening, the THX EQ profiles and THX spatial as well and for entertainment in general, all baked into them. They also have ANC and sidetone for utility, and the only weaknesses I can really think of is them not supporting some lossles bt codecs and not working in active mode when wired. Overall I think these hedphones are great for listening to music and entertainment in general and I don't know why they are not more popular tbh ...
Some people praise expensive or particular brands/models of headphones that don't have many or any of the features the aviator has and usually suggest custom EQing your headphones, but really, how amazing can any hardware be if it's sound is not customized to your hearing and how could someone really eq their own headphones correctly without measuring equipment and/or sound engineering knowledge and experience ? Autoeq is good to try but it's hit or miss most of the time and even if the eq might sound good at that time, until you compare with other headphones/tunings and professionally made eq profiles for your particular headphones or your own ears, you won't know how good it really is or what you are missing out on ...
So imo, the aviator 900 ANC having mimi sound personalization, THX EQ profiles, THX spatial sound, ANC and sidetone, while also sounding great(no complaints here) seems like it should be getting a lot more attention.
Just curious on how useful the feature is since all I see are complains about it
Hi I just wanted to find out if the crusher ANC 2’s or Crusher EVO’s are good for gaming on pc? I just wanted to know because I’ve been struggling on getting a good headset for pc gaming and have been using a 20 dollar one till I choose which brand I want to get …and to say I’m tored of this sound quality is a understatement
I'm torn between the Skullcandy Crusher Evo and ANC 2,, I've read so much and no one says the same thing, everyone literally disagrees, nobody sticks to a consistent opinion.
And at the same time, their prices at my country are close to headphones like the Bose QC and XM5, but I love bass so much that because of that I genuinely don't know,, literally lost
Just to clarify I am NOT an audiophile but just someone who uses both brand's headphones for music.
So I recently got my Skullcandy crusher Evo for $79.99 and I've had the xm5 for about a year and 6 months. I say if the Sony xm5 were S tier headphones. Sound quality wise the skull candy is on par or just below it by one spot. Even without anc on both headphones. The Skullcandy can pull its weight surprisingly, although the xm5 are probably better for people who want to use every last drop of anc. However the only downside on the Skullcandy is the small ear pad area compared to the xm5, the comfort, and overall clamp strength. Besides that the Evos can replicate 80-90% of the xm5 out of the box with no tuning. With tuning, it may surpass the xm5s even if the xm5s were tuned. I think both headphones are good in each of its core strengths. Neither are better than the other with the sole expectation of satoru gojo ofc.
I got these because I loved the idea of seamlessly switching between my pc and my phone... but every time I get a notification my music pauses.............. How do I turn this off. I don't want any interruptions??????????? Why is this even a feature. I will pause my music if I need to myself.
I’m looking for gym headphones, which of this options you think is the best? I want audio quality more than pure bass, and also that the headphones clamp good for the gym. I also sweat a lot.
Are the crusher anc 2 good for the gym?
I know it’s not sweat resistant but it’s really that important?
So i recently have been playing with my head set day two of using it it won't turn off I turn it off and in seconds it turns it self back on and it's not connected to anything I'm so lost
hi! I currently cannot decide if I should get an upgrade from Sony ULT Wear to Skullcandy aviators. I am from Romania, and the price difference between them is pretty big, the Skullcandy Aviators being like 210 euros, and the Sony ULT wear being like 124 euros (this is a huge difference for me). So..here is a list of reasons why I cannot decide if I should stay on Sony or switch to Skullcandy:
- I love the ANC on Sony but it is not the most important thing I am looking for.
- I care more for sound quality and comfort on head rather than ANC or heavy bass that could muddy the sound. I really wish for better sound/instrument separation in my audio.
- I mainly listen wireless on my phone and i do use my headphones on my laptop wired for games and such, though I do not talk, so microphone quality is the least important to me (I know it has a use for ANC, so the microphones do matter a bit but not a lot to me).
- I also don't like the plastic cracking sound whenever my Sony's move on my head, so that's what I am trying to get rid of when I look for another pair..
As far as I can tell, it was held on with glue so I can't host pop it back into place (method 360)
