How do some snakes go so fast?
How do some snakes go so fast? For example, even when speeding they are faster than other snakes which are speeding. Is it a mod or something? Thanks for input
Anyone else look away after you die so you don't see your body get viciously swarmed and devoured by the snakes?
reddit.comSilly rant about small worms
I know I know, the biggest worms are built off the backs off 100s of fallen worms. BUT it drives me absolutely insane when I get big and small worms will not leave me alone. I know we are here to eat eachother but I would really like not being circled by 5 worms at any given time. Why can’t I get big and girthy in peace? 😭
R.I.P to my "twin" (idk if this will make sense)
So, I was playing a few minutes ago (my name is SkeksisQueen because I'm a shameless Dark Crystal nerd) and I found someone whose slither looked SUPER similar to mine. Same cosmetic, same colors, etc. I started wiggling to say hi, and they happened to swerve into me right then, causing them to die. Which...I appreciated the free food, but I felt kinda bad about it. If you're reading this, sorry twin!!
I just died because some guy spawned inside my Snake face
I was #1 and a dude spawned not close, INSIDE my face
PC Player vs Mobile Player
I just tested the difference between playing Slither.io on mobile vs. PC, and the difference is absolutely insane. Not only do you get way more visibility on PC because of the NTL Mod, but mouse precision is also basically perfect. On mobile, you have to control your snake precisely while dealing with high latency and much more chaotic movement. On PC , using a mouse, your movements are way more precise. It’s practically a completely different game.
So here’s my question: Is a mobile player really as bad as they look? Because honestly, I think a PC player who “plays well” compared to a mobile player is often just a normal player with massive advantages from their hardware and software. Better hardware and software means higher FPS, lower latency, better visibility, and much more precise control. When you combine high FPS, low latency, and mouse precision, you’re basically giving an average player a huge advantage over everyone else. It’s almost like a form of PaytoWin, except the advantage comes from your hardware and software instead of actually paying to win.
For example, a mobile player is like someone running through mud while blindfolded, competing against someone running on perfectly smooth asphalt with proper running shoes. Obviously , that doesn’t mean the blindfolded runner is bad. It means the conditions are completely different. The difference between Player 1 (Mobile: running through mud while blindfolded) and Player 2 (PC: running on perfect asphalt) is absolutely massive.
So yeah, when you see a player make a perfect circle or a completely straight line with basically zero micro-deviations, or pull off a perfect dodge before you can even see what’s happening, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re insanely skilled. They might just have a mouse that can track even the tiniest movements, hardware running at 120 FPS, and the extra visibility from the NTL Mod.
They’re basically running on perfect asphalt while you’re running through mud. It doesn’t matter how good you are if you’re playing with 60 FPS, limited visibility, and much higher latency, it’s just not a fair comparison. You can be just as skilled, but you’re playing under much worse conditions.
Slitherio on a MacBook?
What’s the best way to play on a newer Mac Laptop, thanks…
Dios! Que aburrido, lo peor es que
reddit.comWho are the usual players on server 7771?
Just started playing on it and I'm curious to know who's the regular leader board players are and the players I might see
Looking for a friend
I was playing slither.io earlier and essentially befriended another snake. originally, i had been a tiny snake stuck to their side - until i died the first time, rejoined, grew, and found them again. we became so close - we travelled so many miles, split snake rations and they killed for me and saved me from multiple smaller snakes. we played for like 20 minutes together before they tragically died and i crashed myself into a snake to die along with them - we were number 5 and 6 on the leaderboard at the moment of our deaths.
per il popolo - i have no idea who you are, but its been an honor, and i hope to find you in the next server.
love, mojito 🫒🍸🤍
wholesome little interaction
had to go slightly afk for the screenshot but i met this little purple worm and we were just going in circles for a while
at some point they were trying to encircle a bot. i was longer but i wasn't sure if they'd let me trap it myself (i would have let them eat it) or see it as a threat so i just watched for a bit, but then they died in the attempt
rip to you my friend
Controling this one basic human reflex will instantly make you better at the game
Do you notice that when you turn your head towards a player or boosting in their direction, they turn their head back to you too ?
This simple reflex is probably getting you killed constantly.
Experienced players have usually trained themselves out of doing it, but if you can learn to control it, your survival rate will go way up and you can take it for your advantage.
