Hypothetically… let’s say I just got brought on to direct a Ghostface movie disconnected from the Scream movies… what would you want to see?

Hypothetically, of course… 📞😱

Wicked Premiere Issue - Winter 1999

I remember getting this from Blockbuster. The article mentions Kate Hudson in the Scream 3 cast. Was she was cast and dropped out? I was 13 in 7th grade when Scream 3 came out. Its the first Scream movie I went to see in theaters. It made me a fan of the franchise. I had a crush on Neve Campbell. I remember checking out random Scream websites during my keyboarding class. Those were my early internet days.

What do you want to see in Scream 8? Drop your wildest theories (and your realistic ones)

Now that the dust has settled, I've been thinking a lot about where the franchise could go next, and I'd love to hear what you all want from Scream 8.

Here are a few things I keep going back and forth on:

  • A family member returning: Someone connected to the Prescott or Carpenter family coming back, or turning out to be tied to the new Ghostface. Who would make the most sense?
  • Stu's return: It feels like the obvious fan-service move, so it might be too predictable. Would you still want it, or would it ruin the surprise?
  • Melissa Barrera: Would you want Sam back? Should her story continue, or has it run its course?
  • Jenna Ortega: Same question for Tara. Is her arc finished, or is there more to tell?
  • The twist: What kind of twist would actually surprise you? Who would you never see coming as the killer?
