Does anyone have sociology mind maps by Smriti shah mam?

Same as above, and does anyone have any additional notes or value-addition material that could help improve answer quality and give an extra edge in the exam?

Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

UPSC has a way of introducing you to things you never studied

Was going through some previous year questions today and realised that half the time I am not even solving them, I am discovering things I had never heard of before.
The more PYQs I go through the more I realise how difficult it is to actually predict what UPSC can ask.

What is Sociological explanation of downfall of BJP?

Guys I don’t want to be explicitly political here but let’s discuss it as social phenomena. Why people are turning away from the political party which almost captured almost entire country? Is it excessive divisive politics or degradation of social and political institutions which is causing downfall of the biggest party of the country? Kindly enlighten me but don’t be excessive political, tell me only sociological angle.

Is One year masters programme in sociology worth it?

I was looking to do masters in sociology from ignou since I will anyways be reading it for my optional, I came across this one year masters programme start by ignou.
I reached it a bit more and it seems it is eligible on UGC NET as well since I have a 4 year undergraduate degree (Physics research).
What I am confused about is if I will be able to pursue an assistant professor role with this one year masters programme? Or I’ll have to face academic friction from the state universities bcz of lack of their coordination with UGC and lazy application of NEP.

Can anyone here help me with this? Thanks

Critical consciousness has ruined us

Can not watch a movie without analysing ideology.
Can not see an advertisement without thinking about consumerism.
Can not enjoy a meme without wondering what it says about society.
I just wanted to study Sociology for UPSC.

Sociology paper 2.............................

Have studied P2 last year from nitin sangwan and made notes from it along with toppers notes but now i feel those notes are very generic and scattered, now i have 2 options:

  1. watch lectures of smriti shah mam from tg(54) tho i have notes of those lectures and so dictation time saved and will try to complete those lectures in 1 month and then start AW, notes are of of around 500 pages
  2. There is a mind map book of smriti shah mam, that book is of around 800 pages.

i need to complete this in 40 days at max cz iske baad AW bhi krni hai

For those who have actually been part of an evaluation/accountability group was it effective?

I have seen quite a few people here and on other subReddits taking the initiative to form small groups for answer evaluation and accountability.
For those who have actually been part of such a group, how effective was it in practice?
Did it genuinely help you stay consistent and improve your answers or did the group become inactive after a few weeks?
Also curious about the evaluation part was peer feedback actually useful, or did you feel you needed a mentor to properly identify mistakes?
Would appreciate honest experiences
