Guys I know what I am saying is severely contentious but I think it is true. I have humble request to all those aspirants who come from humble background to leave preparation right away and get a good job first. See this preparation will bring you nothing except instability depression and social exclusion if you failed to clear the examination. It is rather practical to get a job first and then give 2 attempts of UPSC while
Staying at job. Thank me later😇

Guys I don’t want to be explicitly political here but let’s discuss it as social phenomena. Why people are turning away from the political party which almost captured almost entire country? Is it excessive divisive politics or degradation of social and political institutions which is causing downfall of the biggest party of the country? Kindly enlighten me but don’t be excessive political, tell me only sociological angle.

Guys of late I was going through toppers interview to understand their strategy and especially looking for things “what worked for them” and I came across this guy!! Dude is so self-obsessed with him that he decided to ruin every interview that he conducted with toppers!☹️

Everytime he ask questions to toppers, would not allow the guy to answer rather answer it by himself by saying “yaad hai aapko meri aapse Budhwar ko mulaqat hui thi aur Maine aapko bola tha ki aap wo abc pen use mat karo balki xyz pen use karo aur dekhiye aaj aap IAS ban gaye!”😭😭😭

I was like “dude, c’mon man!! Who taught marketing to this guy!!”🤡

Of late, Amit Kilhor has been spotlight and many influencers have started criticising him. I wonder why? Why it is so? Many of the times he has been brutally outspoken.

Guys I have recently switched from Science optional to Socio optional and let me be honest it scares the *hit out of me after seeing the toppers answers. They have really good writing skills and good handwriting as well. I have none and honestly I am losing my ground slowly but steadily. Is it suicidal to change optional from Science to pure humanity at this stage? I am doomed 😞😞😞😞

Guys I have felt over a period of time after writing multiple Mains is that key to success in Mains is making notes. Not necessarily from Newspapers but from anywhere- be it Yojana, DTE, Geography and You or any other sources, but making notes is essential. I get annoyed when some topper pops up and says I did not make notes and yet ended up with a single digit rank. I am like “dude you are making sure 99.99% aspirants will fail with this strategy!!” 😌

Guys relax! It’s a just appreciation post seeking your viewpoint. I know many teachers who claimed their questions appeared in essay paper verbatim and I was hugely dissapointed after attending few of them. But Ruchika Maam has really taught how to craft a beautiful essay. Last year I did not get best marks in essay but even with that much minimal preparation I scored more than average obtained marks in essay paper. At least I am not out of the list because of this damn essay paper. Give your opinion? Who is best in essay paper?

I have newly switched to Socio optional and being a science optional guy, needless to say I have a very bad handwriting. 🥺

Now some of my seniors who cleared CSE in various years have been scaring the shit out of me saying without good handwriting I won’t be able to score good marks.☹️

This exam is headache, guys. I take care of one thing and another one appears almost instantly. 😖😖

During my GS preparation I read a lot of Buddhism and always held it as nearly perfect religion as a society can have. But then for my State PCS preparation I had to study Pali literature and I am losing my mind now!

I can literally quote suttas from Tripitaka that might disturb many of you.

Let’s be honest, kind of questions UPSC has been asking these days, I think reading newspaper has very poor ROI. Instead, one should focus more on building sound command over static subjects like Polity, Geography etc.

But the other part of me want to read newspapers religiously make notes out of it and revise theme multiple times before appearing 2027 Mains. But it seems a lot of efforts and also my optional is yet to be covered holistically.

Now I am trapped between these two choices.

Don’t know what to do. Feeling totally lost

While I have seen enough BS about UPSC’s so called “analytical” questions and that one need analytical approach rather than memorisation of facts and concepts in order to qualify this exam, the truth is one needs to memorise huge chunk of data and incorporate them smartly in mains to fetch good score. Similarly, you go in prelims without rattafication of facts and you better be mentally prepared to write Prelims next year as well. Peace!!✌️

Okay, now I get it! Insofar having background in science optional, I thought Sociology will be cakewalk for me but now after going through the syllabus, PYQs, Toppers copies and their marks, I am really scared and reasonably doubtful about my potential to score well in this subject. Seniors suggest, will appreciate any toppers who could give their two cents to this.thanks🙏
