"Going out" Top/ Dresses Dont Work On My Body?? 😭

Hey soft dramatic sisters, I really need your help. I've been searching for a while and feel highly limited in my options for "going out" or elevated casual outfits. Because of this, I have found myself with a wardrobe full of bottoms and basically nothing to wear on top for nice occasions. (Only a few t-shirts and satin botton-down shirts in there 😢)

Ideally, the style of dress/ top I'm looking for would be the SD version of sensual, cute or sexy (ideally think Love Island or DCC but not picky!). It shouldn't be that hard to find BUT...

I have big boobs (34H) 😭 which require a full bra all the time which means that I've never been able to make the following styles of tops/dresses work for me:

  1. Backless (need full bra)
  2. Off-shoulder/ one-shoulder (need the bra once again
  3. Halters (bra usually shows on sides and fabric struggles to cover chest)
  4. "Short" crop tops (Boobs take up a lot of the top making it higher than it should be, and completely changing the look. Sometimes, it just ends up being a bra-top lookng situation that I dont go forward with)
  5. Edit: Boat Necks (make me and the boobs look super wide and boxy)

What has worked well:

  1. Full or 3/4 length spandex-like full coverage ruched tops
  2. Edit: Wrap dresses work SOMETIMES if again in a "sticky" material. Everything else looks matronly, creates gaps and requires a top underneath which takes away from the look

...That's basically it

Am I cooked? Or are there any other styles that work with SD AND my body that you think I haven't thought of yet?

OR if you're in the same situation as me, please let me know if you have any tips that have overcome these issues.

Inclusion of pics would be very helpful with any description/recs ❤️

Thanks in advance!

Fabrics: which ones favor us

For me personally I’ve noticed I look horrible on anything crochet, it’s too stiffed and does nothing for my figure. I really love sequin as a concept but I don’t know if it’s flattering…which fabrics/embellishments/details are recommended for SDs?

Making a "wrong" outfit a little better

First is buttoned, second is unbuttoned

I'm drawn to classic lines, but they tend to look a little boring on me. I've found that making little accomodations can help an outfit feel a little more harmonious, even if it's not perfect.

I am breaking rules still (cutting my vertical line in a few different places) but knowing my lines helps me to break rules and then balance them out in other places, such as opening a neckline.

This isn't my best outfit by any means, but Kibbe isn't law, it's just guidelines.

Yes I know my pants need to be ironed

Wedding guest dress recos

Hello all! I have a wedding to attend in a month. It is a “garden party” theme, cocktail attire required and will take place at a nice country club nearby. I have tried to search for some longer dresses online but I haven’t landed on any I love. Any suggestions or recommendations for dresses that you have loved?
I’m a bright spring, 5’8, size 6-8, 43 yo and I don’t love my upper arm area but open to having it exposed. TIA!

4th of July Dress?

Yes, I know I need shape wear for my belly. I will. But otherwise, how does it look? Boyfriend thought it look a bit cheap but he liked it. Idk.

I NEVER wear dresses but they always look good. I just don’t have the confidence unfortunately, but I’m really going to try this summer…maybe.

I just won’t look in the mirror before I leave hahaha

Wide leg jeans PSA — Abrand has a Tall range now

Went shopping today, found these cute Levi's 728 high rise wide leg jeans. Cute, but an inch and a half too short for my taste.

So I went down a rabbit hole and found out Abrand Jeans has a Tall range now. The style's called 94 High & Wide, seen it mentioned on here before.

I'm wearing the Levi's in a 26/32, for reference.

Swipe for fit pics: pic 1 is Abrand, pic 2 is the Levi's, pic 3 is me wearing Levi's.

No affiliation, just tired of everything being made for someone else's bodies...

What are y'all wearing these days?

Am I on the right track?

I’m new to Kibbe and am trying to add more SD pieces to my wardrobe! I’m not the most fashionable, so this feels new to me. Do these pieces look like I’m heading in the right direction? My feelings won’t be hurt if I’m totally off base. :) I’m a very analytical person, so finding some guidelines and new pieces to put together has been fun! Styling everything feels like the next challenge 😅

Any recommendation for online styling services ?

Hello everyone !

I have been typed as a soft dramatic, natural / ethereal essence / dark winter. I am looking for someone who could help with with my overall style and aesthetic. I am a lot into dark ethereal, dark witch, a bit medieval vibe. And i want the typing systems recommendation to fit the aesthetic i am going for. But here is my problem.

I can't, for the life of me, find a stylist to help me. I have paid like 3 different people on fiverr who had great recommendation, but all they help me with is to create a wardrobe with basics. And i understand the basic garments, i can find the recommendations online easily... What I need is someone to help me merge everything together. I have been trying on my own, but i just can't succeed !

So does anyone here have previously paid a service online (something like Our fashion garden for example?) and was satisfied of the outcome ?

Thank you :)

Face-framing updos

Hi! Recently I've been trying to align SD guidelines of hair (face framing, voluminous, drawing out sharp contrasts in the face) with my desire to wear my hair up. When I pull my hair into a bun, all the wavy/structured hair that provides a nice balance with my features is removed and my features end up being washed out (basically I resemble an egg). Even with those buns where there's some strands framing the face, there's not a strong enough effect and still ends up making my features look harsh compared to the more balanced look with hair down.

Does anyone have any suggestions for updos that create the same framed / balancing effect as with long hair?

Ta3 swim, meh?

This is an old ta3 swimsuit I’ve had for a long time and I don’t wear it often. The front is like a corset which is nice. The back weirds me out, am I being dramatic about that? Lol. Yay or nay? I like the skirt and pockets. Do I bring it on vacation?
