Hi, im pretty sure ive installed some sort of spyware by accident, as my accounts kept getting hacked (i got most of them back by now, and ive already changed passwords, added 2fa…).
I don’t really know how to get rid of it, i have done a windows security full scan and offline scan. And ive also deleted my chrome browser and extensions that i had on it.
Any tips?
I looked in my battery usage in apps and at the very top see an app with no name, just the android logo. I tried to open it and the page restarted numerous times. The fourth time I clicked the open button my phone restarted. My phone has never done that before. The whole thing is so weird and I am worried my mother installed spyware on my phone. Any ideas? My boyfriend seems to know too many small private details about me that I usually only keep on my iPhone (mostly in my photo gallery or things I don’t share with anyone). I really don’t understand how this is possible.
I don’t have any obvious signs that my phone is hacked (no strange apps, no battery issues, no pop-ups, nothing like that).
The only strange thing he once said was: “be careful, you connected to my Wi-Fi.”
I’m not sure if he was joking or trying to imply something.
Is there any realistic way someone could access private information on an iPhone through Wi-Fi or by being on the same network?
Or are there more common explanations like account access, settings, or something I might be missing?
I think my uncle somehow hacked into and got access to my WhatsApp live chats and call history. Honestly, it's so weird. I didn't think it was true at first when my family said he could do these things because I don't think I've ever given him my phone password.
I recently got into trouble because he revealed my exact chats with a guy on WhatsApp. My family also mentioned that he can listen to live calls between family members. Honestly, I don't know how he could do that. He's just a software engineer.
Ever since this incident, I've become very paranoid about expressing anything to my friends. Honestly, I think he only got access to my WhatsApp chats and nothing else because everything he complained about before seemed to come only from my WhatsApp conversations.
I think my Discord and Instagram are safe, but I don't know. Maybe he got access to my phone at some point when WhatsApp was first installed. My family and my uncle haven't spoken to each other for many years, which makes it even weirder that he would be spying on his teenage niece.

Hello everyone, I don’t want to believe this is happening for real, but I’ve had some issues with my now ex boyfriend that have left me concerned he has access to my device. He joked about putting hidden cameras in my shower once (this is one of the reasons why he’s an ex), and I noticed that he often knew things he couldn’t have known if he didn’t have the ability to listen when he wasn’t home. I decided to investigate my app privacy report when I noticed that the actual camera app itself was regularly being opened sometimes for 12+ hours at a time specifically when he and I were apart. After digging further, none of my other apps are showing that they’re accessing my camera in the background. I have included two photos showing the same day where it says my camera was open for 13 hours yet my battery usage report shows it was only in use in the background for 1 minute. I’m confused as to how that could be and would love some reassurance or other explanations. Thank you for any help in advance!

Hello, thank you again to everyone who took real time out of their lives to offer insight or advice! It seems the general consensus is that it’s extremely unlikely my ex has remote access to my iPhone. After reading the responses here and investigating my settings further, I’m inclined to agree. I’ve still taken the suggestions given here and reset things on my phone just to be safe. I’d also like to thank those of you who expressed concern and made other suggestions related to hidden cameras in my home or AirTags being used. Unfortunately, if there is anything going on it’s more likely that he’s using hidden cameras. He lived here temporarily, quoted things I’d thought out loud to myself while I was entirely home alone, and even questioned me about things I was doing alone in my bedroom. So thank you again to everyone who’s taken this seriously. I still don’t really want to believe any of this could be possible, but he’s given me every reason to at least look into things. With all of that in mind, I’ve taken the suggestion here to reset my WiFi password today, and I already feel a bit safer. 🌷

I have a stalker and he does everything in his power to harass me because I rejected him a while ago, it’s been 2 years now. I’m even leaving the country IT’S so bad. ANYWAYS one of his things is he goes on Omegle chat rooms, leaks my number and tells people to send me n00ds and stuff. He claims that he’s me. He also leaks my Instagram and tells them to do the same shit, and says stuff like “I’m a (my physical description) and I want to be dominated”. It’s genuinely horrible. And yes Omegle closed down but there’s still an Omegle chat room. I was wondering if anyone knows if I could reach out to this website and see if they can ban someone or report them every time my name is mentioned on Omegle. It might be hard because it’s an Omegle chat room but I don’t think he’s ever going to stop it’s already been 2 years. I AM NOT CHANGING MY NAME. Also ps I know it’s my stalker because every time i make an action against him to get him to leave me alone he immediately does this.
