Dragon Quest 11 S details Nintendo Switch 2 frame rate and resolution
nintendoeverything.comWhich JRPG should have had a sequel?
For me it would be Resonance of Fate. Maybe because I like the combat style.
Say a studio handed you a cheque to start a sequel. Which game would it be? And why? Is it cz you want to see what happens to the characters or cz you want the game and the world built on new engines.
There would be many but choose one. And the reason.

What if Final Fantasy XVI was actually a brand new, multiplatform independent IP directed by Yoshi-P? Would it have been a hit or a flop?
I've been thinking a lot about the debate surrounding Final Fantasy XVI. Some of the FF Fans heavily criticized it for stripping away traditional turn-based mechanics, party systems, and deep RPG elements. On the flip side, people praised its absolute highs.
So it made me wonder about a massive "What If" scenario:
Lets Imagine Square Enix decided not to name this a mainline Final Fantasy game. Instead, change the character models and names of the Eikons into something generic, and release it as a completely new, dark-fantasy action IP, dropping day-one across all platforms and market it as "From the director of FFXIV, Yoshi-P"
Would a multiplatform launch under Yoshi-P's name alone have been enough to launch it as a brand new IP?
Dq 11 now at 50% off or wait for dq 11 switch 2 vers.
Currently a sale on dq 11, I've never played a DQ game..
But want to try one!
From what I can tell dq11 is most loved and longest game playtime/time to finish.
Which makes it excellent for me as I need entertainment while my left hand heals.
(I do have pokemon and vamp survivors as well).
But when all I care about is experiencing the games, im not sure the improvements will be worth the S2 price.
\- but I've also read there is lots of studders and graphical issues..
Which has me -???-
I have a switch 2! But don't mind playing S1 games if the difference is negligible/not that huge/noticeable.
Thoughts?

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales ~ SDR vs RenoDX HDR side by side (Overworld, Philabieldia, Ruins, Boss Fight)
I ran the new Square Enix HD-2D UE5 action RPG through RenoDX and compared it with the standard SDR version. The split-screen comparison covers the overworld, walking through Philadelphia, the Unexplored Ruins, and a boss fight.
The game looks amazing, but it's still stuck in standard SDR. RenoDX does a great job of revealing true nits and details, which makes a huge difference to the visual experience.
► HDR Technical Specs:
- RenoDX UE Extended
- 3000+ Nits Peak Luminance
- Wide Color Gamut (WCG)
- Optimized for OLED, Mini-LED & High-end HDR Displays
Happy to answer questions about the mod setup if anyone's curious.
What was your first Square Enix RPG that wasn’t tied to an existing IP like Mario or Disney?
Not counting Super Mario RPG and its 2023 remake, the first one of these that I properly finished was Dragon Quest 11 S late last year. And I hecking loved it. Easy recommendation even if you don’t normally play DQ games.
