Most of my staplers are swingline. But this was love at first sight. It’s surprisingly heavy for its size.

Found this wonderful stapler for $1.99 at the thrift store and it had exactly ONE staple in it, but I'll tell you that first smack of the button felt incredible. I knew looking at the stack of paper that it didn't use regular staples.

I want to do this stapler justice and not feed it junk.

Am I correct that Swingline heavy duty staples are the modern replacement for No. 13 staples? Or are there better options?

This bad boy had been on my dad’s desk since before I was born, and I asked him if I could take it when I moved out. Struggling to find an accurate manufacture date though, in case anyone has more specific information than the patent number and file date.
