I have been holding back... idk maybe shame..

I never post my art on Reddit but this is the only place where I ramble about Rubies, so this is an exception.

I got the idea to make a Ruby OC as a cheap excuse for self-shipping. Their nickname is Bonfire & they like Ruby ('Doc') very much. In fact, just thinking about her is enough to start a BONFIRE.

Ironically, a bunch of Steven Universe quizzes said that I would be a Ruby if I were a gem - an Eyeball Ruby more specifically - so I placed the gem on their eye.

A lot of my posts are contextless characters or variations of characters that my friends and I use in RP. I hope the art is still nice though

I rewatched Steven Universe because I remembered of how much I loved Garnet & the Rubies when I was a kid. Now that I watched the original, uncensored version of this show, I can properly claim that Ruby (also known as 'Doc') is the best Ruby & that her title is indisputable.

In contrary to most Ruby ('Navy') simps, this is not lust speaking here ; I don't think Ruby is the best Ruby just because of her body or her revealing outfit, I just recognise that she has the qualities to own this title. Being the Captain of a team means that, in plus of being a great Soldier, you can read your teammates' emotions & feelings in the rush of a battle, you know what their true power is, their limits, what's the best for them, & most importantly, you never leave your teammates behind. This is exactly the kind of qualities one with a sane mind should look for in a potential partner. Ruby will always know what to do to cheer you up whenever you're having a bad day & to make you happy, & she will never abandon you no matter how hard a situation seems to be.

Did you know Rubies can generate heat & get really warm ? This can occur both on purpose & whenever they feel a strong emotion. This means Ruby will be able to keep you warm in Winter, & there is no doubt in my mind that an aroused Ruby would get really hot. With the higher-grade qualities she developed from being a Captain, Ruby will be able to regulate her body temperature despite her excitement to make sure you don't get burned, she will also engage in temperature play with you while keeping things under control. While all Rubies can generate heat, this kind of activity requires a lot self-control, awareness & a true emotional bond at the same time, which is not achievable for most Rubies, not even Ruby (Crystal Gem) who too often sets things on fire by accident when feeling excited, happy or angry.

Forget pussy from a girl gem who is evil, think about dick from a gem who is able to properly identify your feelings while controlling her own. Ruby is the most compatible Ruby for a human : she can easily find out what kinks & positions you enjoy the most, what penis shape is more adapted for the sensations you're looking for, what pace is the best for each situation, if you're truly enjoying the moment or if it hurts too much & needs to stop immediately. But the latter rarely would happen with her.

No other Ruby beats this level of compatibility, you literally would have the ideal relationship imaginable with Ruby. Also, fun fact : Ruby's actual nickname should have been 'Hearty', because her gemstone is placed on her heart & despite being a mineral, she has a big heart.
